i kind of do this. i weight about 0.5g of herb out. that will fill the valve on my volcano and last me 2-3 days. i always have the next batch ready. i don't measure out different doses, but i'm kind of limited on my stock and only have a volcano, so different doses isn't really an option...

not to bust balls, but the digital remembers what temp you set it at last and when you start the heating element, it warms to that temp. i'm not sure how it works, but it even remembers when you disconnect the power.

max, i think what he is trying to say is that it's more easy to trust an lcd read out than the numbers 1-9 and a dial. can the lcd give you a false temperature? of course, it's probably more likely to give you a false reading. if the dial gets jacked or if it was never right in the first...
