Iwein - You're right, the actual "carbon footprint" of this would be quite small, and I would never try to generalize that everyone was being wastefull, I'm sorry if it seemed like that. Max, your right phantom loads are everywhere, most things that have the big box type plugs will draw 24.7...

I realize the unit has a low power consumption, but I would personally use a timer as some of the other members have done as opposed to leaving it on all day and night. Should we really be adding any more to our carbon footprints just for the hell of it? I would say no, but to each his own. :2c:

I like the idea a lot, I didn't see any kind of heat indicator on the unit, a small external thermometer would be friggin sweezy. I would like something like this for snowboarding.

I must say, I am on my second Iolite and I'm so pissed off it hurts. (You may have seen my posts in the marijuana.com forums) I look around the net, and everyone loves theirs. I would say my Iolite works 1/30 clicks of the time, if I am lucky. Same problem with my last one (both lime green...)...
