You have to ask yourself one question, do I feel lucky? Well do you punk?
Dirty Harry has the balls to go for a VapeXhale second, but do you??

I really want to buy/try but the no returns is scary.
I'd normally consider seconds from a reputable company but VXL has recently sold their HTs (their regular stock) that turned out to be seconds at best, and some even had real performance defects.
So,....... what might their HT seconds really be... ???? Cosmetic faults or major performance problems and no way to return?

If Dirty Harry bought a problem VXL HT second, would he blow it up with his 44 magnum??

evo all the way. however for some reason the firefly 2 is rated really high on vapecritic or vapefiend.. i forget which.

they're also in two different markets, evo is desktop while firefly2 is for portable.

evo gives you a lot of options for different water attachments, firefly does not.
If you have a outlet handy get a desk top!

Get a portable if you need to vaporize outside the home.
I like plug-in best. I have a portable (cheap) once in a while however a plug-in is the way to go if it will fit your life style?

I have EVO and get very medicated from it!

Ordering a dry mouth piece I think. Is the hydrafoot worth $20? is the glass that brittle it won't sit nicely on the bottom?

I have a standard mouthpiece, a HT HoneyComb and no HydraFoot - the standard lays on its side, the HoneyComb stands upright on its own. I'm sure the HydraFoot would be a nice thing to have but totally unnecessary IMO.

IMO, No. Just get this if you want a foot. It comes with one. Some don't seal but mine work great and seals perfectly with the Evo.

OR this, But I am waiting until they extend the female joint out a little to make sure the Evo will have plenty of room. Or at least another member verifies that it does.

I was more concerned about the water piece being incredibly unstable than about using the foot as well.

Thanks for the links, though. Still figuring out all the dhgate toys for this thing,

I have this exact piece. It does not work with the EVO, as the GonG is too high in the glass. Also, the quality of the workmanship is awful compared to similar priced pieces from Sunshinestore and Yingmin. Just my 0.02c

I must have gotten lucky, common theme in my life ;). I have seen some pretty bad ones posted but mine looked great.

Mine actually seals slightly better than my 2 genuine tubes. BUT I use my genuine ones more. I am going to buy that new DH gate foot to add to the collection though! I hope they extend the joint out so I don't have to use a whip. Has anyone bought that "Hydrofoot 2.0" from DHgate yet?
Here is my Chydrotube from Steven compared with some real ones. Seals nice and tight but it's a $30 gamble as you know.

Haha, reminds me of buying Chinese glass!
I can tell you one Turbine I sent back that they told me they did intend to sell in this sale had such a huge gap in the center that it was essentially just a "2 slit" perc and did not use the turbine perc AT ALL. I posted about it several pages back in the thread. So I suppose it would cool vapor and work as a mouthpiece but wouldn't pay $100 for it. On the other hand someone else sent a bomb back with just a surface scratch and it was otherwise perfect, maybe you get that one and that would be a deal? Who knows!

This is the language from the VapeXhale site regarding the factory seconds:

"Please note that this item is discounted due to one or more of the following imperfections: slight cosmetic scratch, bubbles in glass or slight wobble."

If they send a tube that has a flawed perc or otherwise doesn't function properly, an exchange should be demanded and I doubt you would have much of an argument on the other side. It's not a gamble. It's an imperfect HT at a discount. They do say no refunds which is probably standard for something that is admittedly of a lesser quality than normal, but that in no way means they get to just dump garbage on you and make you keep it. There are three defects described here. Compromised function isn't one of those. There's no need to be afraid but also no reason to keep a bad tube.

EDIT: Noticed the Bomb Hydrabase is back in stock, btw, for any who couldn't grab it last time.

The 'slight wobble' and 'no refunds' was enough for me to steer clear.

Luckily a dry mouthpiece isn't a big deal of it has bubbles or is a little wobbly.

A wobble in the standard mouthpiece could mean a less than ideal fit where the mouthpiece connects to the gong on the bamboo and could mean its not airtight. For 12 bucks it might be worth a shot....but you could get it for 19.99.

Being a newer EVO owner/lover, I sometimes come across references to older types of HydraTubes when reading old posts. I've recently seen multiple versions of a HydraCirc - has anyone on here owned different versions and can you share the differences and your overall opinions?

Pics of them would also be appreciated!

China has cloned that one, search dh gate for FC-MP and Steven among others sell it. The real one was bigger and nicer but no longer available, there was also a swagger side circ that was sick.

Cover cash, I just posted about this. Take a look at vaporpedia. I was maintaining it a while ago, but fell off and no one kept it up. But it's got a lot of the oldies.

The FC mod comes with a female mouthpiece that works great with the evo for those who want to get some more value on the cheap

where were you when i cried for help over and over in this thread :(

pulled the trigger on a FC-187 V2 from Steven.

People say the hydratube sidecar perc by SSS is iffy, 3/5 success rate.

hope I don't regret my FC 187V2 decision..

Who has both the standard VXL mouthpiece & the Chinese FC-MOD?

I don't have the VXL mouthpiece and wondered how it compares. I have only tried the Chinese FC-MOD mouthpiece once and didn't like it at all. The feel is a bit too thin/sharp at the lip for me. It immediately felt like it was made to look kinda like a mouthpiece, but without the maker really seeming to bother with how it would actually feel to the user's lips (which I have experienced is pretty much standard in Chinese glass.)

In any event I don't really see a need for just a dry mouthpiece. I like the water.

the water makes the experience better!! I have the hydratube recycler from dhgate. Highly recommend it, however has a big risk of failure (water falling into the middle as there isn't a lot of room to catch water)

My experience has been the opposite. I have ordered several pieces from Sunshine Store and all have arrived quickly and been excellent. I have only ordered one piece from Steven, it took ages to get here and was utter garbage. I am still fighting for a refund after over 40 messages back and forth.
