I have the D020-D pictured and like it, but I'm not much of a water guy in general. In fact, that is my first water piece. It works well with the nano, but I have no frame of reference. Besides doing dabs on other peoples rigs here and there I haven't used water pipes since old school bongs in the late 90's.

The water filtration can take some of the flavor from your cannabis. If you need higher temperature for pain it works well.

I personally don't know a lot about glass either. I talk to my friend @ataxian , he knows about glass.

There was a difference though when using the D020 with my Solo then with my Enano. I just have a few pieces. I personally like the j hook with some of my vaporizers.

This is the one that I got off of dhgate for around $37

It works great, but it is my first non-combustion glass piece. I have only used it a few times since the stems are so much more convenient for me. We have cats and I have to be careful where I put it and keep an eye on it. Not the best formula if I get faded. Kind of funny though, the GF was complaining that I have all these vaping devices (only 4) and she doesn't know how to use any of them, and how come I have so many strains in those bottles and HEY what about that glass thing, how come she isn't allowed to use it? LOL I told her calm down, I will hook up the Nano and the bubbler this weekend. I have to watch that one, she had a bad episode on edibles once.

I agree with @CarolKing that the water can mute some of the flower taste, but you can also get some humongous clouds.

Oh, and regarding the earlier post about my new glass stem being difficult to fit on the stainless steel heater wand of the nano; I purchased 2 GonGs around the same time and they have the issue. I really have to work with them to get them to slide over the SS wand. That is another reason why I put the bubbler to the side. I emailed Epic last night, so hopefully I will hear back soon. I was going to bring one of the GonGs to work to measure the id with a micrometer, but I forgot this morning. :bang:

I had the D020-D but broke it while I was rekt after a good long session

It worked well while I had it and it would 'milk' up real good with my walnut nano, but to be honest as much as I like water filtration, I found myself using the adjustable glass stem more often since i could just sit at my computer desk and toke when needed, without having to turn my nano upside down then lift the bubbler to my face (lazy bum ;)).

...That said, I really want to try a Pinnacle water tool if anyone has any good experience with one ontop of the nano.

The pinnacle tool sucks in my politically incorrect POV!
@CarolKing can help better than my sorry ass!
@DarkSm0ke I have the FC186 I will take to a glass blower and cut off the mouth-piece.
ASH CATCHERS with JHOOKS (SHERLOCK) are my thing!
Tell your GF edibles are not for everyone!
I don't like them either.
Joints are the best however VAPORIZING is so GOURMET!
My wife has never tried CANNABIS?
However she is cool with me MEDICATING all day long.
I break way too much glass. (only thing I need to correct)
The NANO size and POWER is very good actually!
@Boxxy I'am picky to a fault.
My station is cleaner and more organized however CANNABIS makes me feel better?
Between SHATTER and COLAS with 420 coming up I'll be wrecked!
That's OK!
I have a lot of different WATER RIGS and so many D020 bubblers but no D020-D because I have the FC187 with the same can. (cutting off the mouth-piece to make it a ASH COLLECTOR)

My formula is basic and super simple:
small can = portables
medium can = LOGS
Large can = High Powered units and smoking bowls.

I haven't smoked a JOINT in years because vaping changed my view?
Bars are legal? (that's weird)

@ataxian YOUR GLASS IS AWESOME AND UNIQUE! Can you show us a photo of the fc-187? I want to see where you modified it, also where do you get the plastic pieces that hold the jhook to the modified bubbler?

I know a guy that is a glass blower, he makes gnarly spheres with flowers in them. Beautiful pieces. They even sell on some fancy website in England. He used to be a cop, so I am a bit apprehensive about asking him to make me a glass piece, but I am thinking of asking if he can make me some custom glass stir picks... :D

@jr1xt1 i have the D020 bubbler and it works awesome with my Solo and my Arizer Air. With the Enano I didn't think I had enough volume. I ended up getting something else to work with my Enano. I bought the D022 bubbler. I think it pairs better with the nano. Other Nano users have their fav. Maybe a few would chime in.

I tried to make this smaller but I couldn't. I'm looking at this one too for my Enano.

I do use my nano on a D020, but usually only for travel. The D020-D seems like a better fit to me, too. But, I usually reach for a little more volume than that with the nano. FC-187 has a near perfect volume for me, but that part is very personal. Some like less volume, some like more. One of my friends always asks that I pull out the huge Leviathan (M&M) lattice bubb every time he's over, but he usually smokes one hits unless with me. I can clear a full can from it, but it is a workout for me.

When I use the D020 or -D, I inhale some vapor before clearing. With the FC-187 and similar volumes (FC-UFO), I usually clear as soon as vapor starts hitting my tongue.

Price can be a consideration too, but IMO you should get what you think would feel best to you - at least as far as volume goes. IME a center top dewar joint works best with nano for performance and stability. And, for flavor and effects sake stick with something simple when it comes to the perc. The simple showerhead/tire/pseudo reti percs discussed here are all good. Some recylclers (like this) aren't bad for flavor (especially if you're looking for something that can handle dabs well, too) - but, aren't quite as simple to use, usually require a glass adapter and won't support a nano sitting on it without tipping over.

IMO, stay away from lattice/honeycombs, eggs, and other crazy/elaborate perc set ups as they will steal the most flavor, and are more of a pain in the ass to get and keep clean. Straight tubes are OK if you already have one and want to use it, but I don't really like the way they usually chug or deliver vapor.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Pinnacle water tool and similar simple hydratubes. These little ones don't give enough water filtration to suit me, and I find for that little bit I'd just as soon go dry. I haven't tried a larger hydratube (all the rage now with cheap Chinese glass connoisseurs). They could be nice, but I'd still be worried about having the water above the nano. All should be good with it, and only real problem would be if you blew back into it, but still makes me a little too nervous to enjoy as I do with my bubbs.

If you really like dry, you should check out J-hooks. They can be nice, especially when just kicking back. I turn my heat down half a notch pop it on a J-hook and sit back to veg in front of the tube like Gandalf with his pipe. Usually get many hits with a couple stirs, and who doesn't like puffing vapor from a pipe-like setup?

The FC-UFO is also nice for sitting back and vegging. Put the nano on top and use a hose from the mouthpiece connection. Sometimes I'll use a carbed GonG adapter with this. Very simple, and almost too easy to get ripped without paying attention. I leave the nano on there for up to 1/2 hour at a time. Just cover the carb, hit the end of the hose, and release the carb to clear.

One other thing... I still think sidecars work a little better for most if you're not going with the FC-UFO. The offset of the sidecar keeps the nano from being right in your face while hitting, and allows you to monitor the can easier so you can draw the kind of hits you're looking for and will also keep the learning curve down.

:tup:Wow @ACE OF VAPE that inlaid nano looks so cool
How long does it take to make that ?

That would look amazing on a dark wood! Kinda wondering how long, too. Even though I shouldn't even be thinking about it (aren't 3 nanos enough?), how much is the upgrade for turquoise? And, are there any other design options? Really like the Hindu Aum, but wondering.

Not only is the heater is very efficient the wood work is pretty much over the top!

I spilled at least 2 grams of grinder flowers on the ground.

The NANO took me to a place where I don't care!

Damn! I wish I could get that far into the groove. I had a container open in my pocket and lost about 1/4 g of ground. I'm still a little teary eyed.

That turquoise inlay would look amazing on my Walnut Enano.:D I have a Blackwood 3 inch Solo stem with a turquoise inlay and it's beautiful. @Ed's TnT made it. It really pops with a dark color.

I have some Black Cherry Soda (Cherry Pie) in the nano tonight. I needed to turn the temp down. I kept coughing. I was at 6.5 now I'm at 6.25.

On a t-break, but still have an enano question. I bought the aromatherapy cup to use with peppermint oil. I'm having trouble finding a setting that works for it. Seems like at setting 3 the oil burns a bit, but below that setting, it's not producing much of any scent. Is there some trick to it? Should I add a carrier oil maybe?

Use some water like s couple drops in the aroma cup. That will help with that, just be careful not to get any water or oil in the heater. Originally I used a candle aroma cup up top and that's what they told me at the store where I bought the oil. Not sure about peppermint oil but I usually use heat 4 with the various oils I have. When the water evaporates out I add more water. Just use an eye dropper.
