I am sure its been discussed over and over but i don't seem to be able to find it so can someone point me to a E-nano v Underdog test or a log vape group test or any other info they may help me decide which desktop to get

My nano has developed a crack. I've had it a little over 3 weeks. It's not that big of a deal to me, and I don't feel the need to do anything about it, but I thought that I would mention it. It happened the first time that I left it on after use. I usually turn it off, but left it on for about 2-1/2 hours at around 6.25 on the dial. Didn't notice the crack until the next day. It's a maple burl, now with a little added character.

When my cherry unit cracked it cracked within the first week or so and it crack all the way from the top to the bottom. Keep your fingers crossed it won't go any further. I think if they are going to crack they will crack right away within the first month or so. I wouldn't say leaving it on was the reason. It would have cracked anyway.

The cherry unit I have now I leave on 24/7. I turn it down to 3 at night and when I leave. It just takes a couple minutes to get to my desired temp. I didn't get any cracks the second time around. I've had mine since May 2015. I have a walnut unit that never cracked.

My maple, a little over a yr. old, is on all the time at 6.25. No crack. I mean to turn it off, and do manage to do so once or maybe twice a week, but I have a hard time. My brain wants to know that things are always ready at any given moment. And my need for discretion (my nano is very discrete, tucked neatly out of sight behind a stack of books) prevents me from easily plugging and unplugging, turning up and turning down. Anyway so far so good as far as cracks are concerned.

I put an inline switch into a cheap extension cord that makes it much easier to use the nano. I can flick it on or off and not have to unplug or mess with the dial. :2c:

many thanks, i'll check it out

Do that, as anyone should, then come back and ask about the couple of reasons why many like the nano better. Don't forget to consider what glass you'll want and other sundries like a pack of extra screens.

Or, just PM me.

nano FTW!

PS...... Damned cracks! Sorry to see that. They do seem relatively rare these days, but still seem to happen within the first month. On that one, I think I might just go for the hose clamp steam punk look and see how long I could make it before having to send her in.

@DarkSm0ke if the glass doesn't fit over the heater stem, then it's dodgy glass.
There was a batch a while ago that were a bit wonky and didn't fit the heater well (I had one).

I did think that had been sorted though tbh. If it's a new stem from a recent order I'd contact Andy and he'll sort you out a new one no prob

Thanks @Gray Area , sorry for late reply, I got distracted these last few days. Yeah this glass is new, from June 10 order.. I will email Andy. I can get it over the stem, but I have to fuck with it, by rotating it until it fits. My old stems slide right on. Thanks for the solid info bro.

On my desk I get a large pile of cotton balls impregned of reclaim/wax I quasi never used before (from vapes&extraction tools cleaning) ....and , yesterday, I put a bit on my Nano at 7.25 and got 3 big clouds from a really small ball of cotton...not tasty but not disgusting at all!

That is the first burl I've ever seen crack. I would be surprised it it continues all the way down. Standard woods like cherry, walnut and maple have parallel grain structures so if they crack it runs down the grain. Burl wood grain patters are random, they may check a little if dried improperly but they rarely if ever crack. If you ever want to return it. It's covered. Just get an RMA from Carissa when you're ready.

Is straight beeswax good to put on the nano or does it need some oil in there with it?

Should be fine. I think the beeswax gives a protective coating for the wood. Oil makes it easier to penetrate the wood, and gives more of a sheen. But, it probably also adds a little moisture to it - which isn't a bad thing.

So straight beeswax is fine, but harder to apply and you're probably losing some benefits you'd get with oil in the mix.

Hello E-Nano community. I would appreciate any help with a simple question. I am visiting home in the US and before returning to my overseas residence I will purchase the e-nano after reading all the positive comments here. I also just bought a Firefly 2. As I live in a far away place without any vapeware I want to be sure to leave with all the essentials. I am new to vaping, never done it once in fact, I have no clue what I should be thinking of getting (though I've decided against a water pipe add on). If you happen to have any ideas please respond so I can set the e-commerce in motion. Thanks.

Can't speak for the firefly. With the nano you'll be good to go with the nano, a stem (adjustable screen is my preference), extra screens if you go with the adjustable (I bought my nano a year or so ago with an extra five pack of screens to go along with the one that came with the purchase and I still have at least two unused screens, with all the others used but still functional), and an extra stem in case you somehow break your first one. No gong needed if you're not going with a water tool. Just make sure you know how your electricity reaches you where you'll be so you have the proper chord/adapter.

@SEAlife For sure get extra adjustable stems and screens. I like to use one stem for concentrates, and another for flower. I also have two others in case of an accident or if I have some that are in cleaning (soaking in iso), I still have stems ready for vaping. I hate downtime. I have 2 cords so I can keep them in separate parts of the house and only have to cart around the nano.

Regarding the Fire Fly 2; I would get another 3 pack of concentrate pads and maybe an extra battery if you can afford it. I bought a couple of weeks ago 2 extra lids and the case. It is always nice to have back ups!

Just had a quick question, I'm totally new to glass but really liked the idea of using a water pipe with the nano. I bought "http://www.dhgate.com/product/d020-bubbler-hand-blown-glass-vase-perc-water/175832535.html" along with the 18/19mm gong adapter from epicvape. I just wanted to know if this was the right combination of sizes? The bubbler is listed as having an 18.8mm opening.

@jr1xt1 Yeah that is perfect. I got a couple of GonGs when I got my bubbler from DHgate and I used the same sizes. I like to use a separate GonG for flowers and concentrates.

Great suggestion, only just starting to get into concentrates as well but I can see how that would be useful. I bet a gong you've put flowers in would be easy to clean but probably not so much for concentrates.
Concentrate stems are super easy to clean, just soak in iso.

Cleaning is a big waste though, it's best to take out the screen, heat the stem, and then use a bamboo skewer and some organic cotton to soak up all the potent goodies. After that's finished I just soak some pieces of tissue paper in iso and push them through the stem with the skewer. Give it a quick rinse and you're good to go!

I've started to build a nice little vape collection recently, but the E-Nano is still my favorite. It's just so consistent and dependable. It is easily the best of my collection when it comes to flavor, and I honestly don't see how it could improve much, it is so pure already.

@jr1xt1 i have the D020 bubbler and it works awesome with my Solo and my Arizer Air. With the Enano I didn't think I had enough volume. I ended up getting something else to work with my Enano. I bought the D022 bubbler. I think it pairs better with the nano. Other Nano users have their fav. Maybe a few would chime in.

I tried to make this smaller but I couldn't. I'm looking at this one too for my Enano.
