Not huge on Aesop Rock but I do like that Album @srama21 posted a song, love this one in particular, the beat love it:

I love hip hop.......you know what rivals it in terms of my musical enjoyment? Old 70s/80s soul/funk/jazz....but you know where I heard those songs first? On HIP HOP samples :)

This is like, my favorite Tupac song? Tough, I definitely love all of All Eyez on Me, but something about this song just always makes me smile, people change all the time but ya know like if we true friends its all love no matter what ya know? Literally saw that Tupac song and went to find this one to post, and have just been sitting here reminiscing while listening to it lol. I USED TO FIEND FOR YOUR SISTER BUT NEVER WENT UP IN HER

So, I went out to the bar tonight, and it's a yinzer bar, no rap really lotta old heads, but there are a group of people my ageish who frequent it too. I'm in there tonight and I start hearing Run DMC, and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, I immediately had to get up and start wandering around to find my buddy because I knew his ass would be the only one to be playing that

But, this is what I was most hyped about..........if you were born in 90-92 , If your first hip hop album wasn't Eminem (mine was the edited Marshall Mathers LP :p ) your first CD was COUNTRY FUCKING GRAMMAR. It was my first dirty one lol, and once I found my buddy we overtook the jukebox and just played a bunch of late 90s/early 2000's that's like so nostalgic too me too, grew up on that. I don't know if Nelly is considered a "good" rapper, but holy shit do I love Country Grammar.

I'm from the MI crooked letter crooked letter
O U R I no one can do it better!

Love that song.

This is maybe the best rap song about weed? Idk. Tough for me the nostalgia runs deep. I never even understood this song!!

I KNOW ONE DAY I WILL STOP, THAT WILL BE THE DAY WHEN MY SEEDS DON'T POP

Great song!

And this was another personal favorite on the album, I obviously loved the singles but this was one of my favorites too

Peace all! If you need me, just yell ANDALE ANDALE!

Quetzalcoatl

DEADY GUERRERO/DIRT COBAIN/GEORGE KUSH
I know a lot of people don't like this type of mainstream southern rap/hip-hop. I usually dont get down on this style, but today this track came on in the mix and I haven't heard it in years. Still gets me moving. Although I'm not a fan of all the lyrical content, I couldn't help but turn it up when the beat came on.
I literally just finished that song before Stay Fly came on, then I checked here and wtf!!

I LOOOVE Triple Six!!

edit:

@HellsWindStaff You might like Typical Cats ;) Lyricism is fuckin insane.

Awesome picks guys been loving these last night/this afternoon!

In keeping up with the "8 ball"....

Love that song!

My buddies ply reggae/feel good type tunes out at some local bars, there's a crowd pleaser where they melody through a bunch of songs and then the end they call me up and I do Lodi Dodi :) the snoop version. Love that song too! Can't find a video of them doing it with me tho :(

Where to start
@Philreal187 I have hiphop radio on whenever I get a chance and I hear loads of new, new to me, stuff. But then I'm old, white and British.
@Slow Draw McGraw if it makes you happy it shouldn't matter if it's underground mainstream or anything. I have to agree with 'lyrical content', and I'm with you on beats. If it lifts your mood it's all good.
@HellsWindStaff 90-92 lol I kinda remember that far back, this is more in keeping with the average age here.

I've got something special tonight. A trailer for an album. What kind of album would have a trailer? A cinematic concept album from Prince Paul.

A Prince Among Thieves is a true classic hip-hop album. If you don't have it you should buy, download, or steal it as soon as possible.

Keep an eye out for el-p, he's not on the album but he has a cameo in the video:

Definitely one of the best concept albums.

Keith's verse on Weapon World is killah. (Ive posted that track before)

Keith is my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th favorite rapper.

Disposable Arts by Masta Ace is also a good concept album.

@srama21 I know the 'tough time' feeling it's sometimes more often than not but everything comes right in the end. Chin up my friend and all the best for the future. Never regret anything just look at it as life experience. Believe me I made a huge mistake and tried my hardest to pull it round. Gave it four years of my life and then got out. Had some fun times don't get me wrong but most of it was horrible. Right now I'm in the best place I've ever been in, even tho it's another really tough time for me right now.
These tracks I found sum up my feelings. I don't have any music that reminds me of ex partners or hard times. It always puts me in a great mood and reminds me if it gets on top of me then I always have hiphop to brighten my days.
Not a religious bone in my body but I do love this track.
Found myself playing this, UK weather is looking great today.
