Need a good portable replacement for UD

I recently moved and my new session spot does not have any outlets and extension cords are not an option. I've noticed the portable section has tons of new products and models since the last time I was lurking around 2014-2015. It's too overwhelming.

I use a 14mm gong. So any portable that would work with a 14mm attachment would be nice to use with my water tools. I bought 2 solos before but I accidentally broke them.

I'm pretty sure the Underdog is DC powered. Theoretically you should be able to use any 12 Volt battery as a power source for the vape.......

Or you could always get an AC power bank - for around $100 you could have a battery powered AC outlet to run your Dog off the grid for several hours at a time (average 5-10 hours depending on several factors).

Many people are ranting and raving over the Milaana, calling it a portable log vape - I'm interested in the product, but I'm not a big fan of the manufacturer (RBT has a big ego, pissing off many customers and partners).

Ud and Hi are dc indeed and run nicely on power bank (ac/dc) dc power bank seems to be less expensive to buy and you can replace batteries inside if needed (dunno if UD is still selling them)

I love arizer portables, solo mainly with gong and water and air for some tasty low temp sessions dry out and about or when stealth is needed or in windy environment or when lazy to play with a lighter

Btw If you have no electricity in your vaping spot maybe a butane powered vape could be usefull? I have many but VApcap is my favourite and it pairs very well with water (there is a version with a 14mm wooden body)/ fast and effective

I have to avoid to talk about rbt as in general it gets me in troubles, I agree with @Ratchett , he says it in a very politically correct way

My suggestion is get a DC powerbank for your UD like the others recommend. A good portable compliments a UD nicely but what is your budget? It is hard to go past the VapCap range if you have any interest in a butane vape or the Boundless range is a well regarded portable solution. Some good questions to ask yourself are

• What is my budget?
• How portable do I actually need & is stealth a issue?
• How often will I use it & how hard will it work?
• Do you want your primary heating to be conduction or convection?
• Battery or butane ?

Once you answer those kind of questions @Ox45 you will have narrowed the field down considerably to select from.

I can only concur with @Ratchett & @Andreaerdna on RBT so the less said the better.

I was able to contact someone from the UD thread and they pointed me to right direction and I ordered DC from amazon prime. I still need a portable option. My UD will still get lots of play when it's up and running again.

1. My budget is 250-400 range
2. As long as I can attach my water peieces. I rarely use it to go places, so the size of vap does not matter, if I go camping I just bring my lotus. Just looking for pure stealth.
3. I plan to use it daily, around 3-5x a day, each session around 10 minutes.
4. Convection, anything to reduce the chance of combusting
5. Battery

That is a very healthy budget to work with & you won't have too many to choose from. If you are looking for stealth then a GH or FF2 would be ideal or a MiniVap if you want something bigger & more like a portable desktop.

Edit: Forgot about water pieces so unless the FF2 has an adapter.....

I am very tempted to tell you to stick with the UD and get a DC power supply as mentioned above. I think this is probably going to be the best scenario for you. Tried and true, but now on batteries with minimal additional cost

Don't go with a GH yet, I'm as eager as the next guy to get a working one of these into my hands as a sole daily driver, but there is a reason I've not done so.

I am not confident that a grasshopper is going to work without failure/problems in a sole vape/daily driver scenario. You need backup vape/s if you're buying a grasshopper in case you encounter one of the known issues (which hopefully will be resolved sooner than later).

A minivap would be a fantastic vape to connect to glass in your stated home portable scenario. It is big, but this doesn't seem to matter for your needs. It delivers the juice IIRC and I'm sure this would be attractive as you'd wanna minimize how often you need to charge batteries!

You could get great results with a Mighty too. Still, I think you'll find that these options will be a lot of additional spend and may not suit your needs much/any more than your trusty UD with a DC battery pack.

Butane vapes really don't sound like what you're after as it seems that avoiding the possibility of accidental combustion is a high priority. You may find you prefer to use your UD with a DC pack over the Lotus when away camping in future because you'll be able to dial in a non-combusting temp more easily! I used to own a Lotus and loved it (especially for the effects, taste and clouds at the pricepoint when done right), but the accidental combustion risk especially when very medicated was a PITA.

I don't know if the FF2 has a WPA, nor can I speak to it's performance so I can't say either way if it would work well for you. Might have a look at that one myself!

I like the MistVape. Its compatible with the UD accessories and can run off battery and DC. Built in dial and pretty simple design.

Another vote for the battery pack for the UD. It's really an ideal setup for water.

I was about to make this thread. Then I found an extension cord it works all right but is a little clunky. I think I'll probably pick up a lotus or something butane before too long though.
