Flip cap and no contact

Got them at good old HD. Also picked up #6 brass washers (replaced SS), #6 brass machine nuts, even snagged a SS wing nut just for fun. Gotta be a cool #6 end cap bolt out there someplace.

The big mod here isn't the disc, but concept of cap flip. I'm sure you can all come up with good alternatives to use here.

Nice pics and concept. Great to see everyone is so creative and eager to contribute. Gotta love this!

I for one am sticking with vape doc's pick mod. It's just so much easier - I imagine screwing on and off and flipping back and forth each time would start to annoy quite soon or I might end up lazy and wouldn't care about flipping it back - and not use it like intended. Think is not that practical - but easy enough to reliably work so I like the concept of it.:)

Loving the vibe in here. Do I hear a Zion in my head?:D

Enjoy, everyone!

I want to change Mi's appearance as little as possible. For me the quick lid flip work perfectly. When I get the perfect end nut, it will get even easier. I'm sticking with the flip-cap method, but can' wait to see what others come up with as well. Keep contributing your awesome ideas.

Oh, I have 4 technically, one out for repair, one enroute, 2 in home, but soon to send another out. Too good to ever "go back".

Another super simple power cutoff option that requires no drilling or really any work at all ..... and can still act as a stem retainer.

A thick fat rubber band running up the side of the Milaana.....you can lift it on top of the brass when not in use, slide up against the opposite side of the stem for retention at the joint and then just tuck it under the copper petal when carrying it around and not in use.

It also provides for some grip as well as a place to temporarily tuck the stem to keep your hands free while reloading

Shit Snacks

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Took Lana out to a beach party last evening, didn't use much actually but got one stem in, the large Ego case does really work well to hold Milaana herb container + avb container along with toothpick and the scoop n poke... I kept spare batteries and the shorty stems separate in their cases, but one battery in Lana using the piece of paper trick, just a nice thick circle cut from a business card works extremely well too! Great mod tips guys

I like it a lot. Finding the right band would be cool. What about those rubber wrist bands, all different types, colors? I probably have some.

No sweat on delivery, I'll have it tomorrow, I'm psyched!

I still love my ego case and use it to hold everything Milaana related. Doob tubes, picks, batteries, battery cases, stems...holds it all so nice and keeps everything safe and organized.

Just got my original mi. A bit cooler, easier to share, and quite a bit smaller in every dimension, bet heater distance the same. It's a good 1/8" shorter, and at least 10% lighter, noticeable. I like it's different. Gonna be testing all day. Notice body shorter, stem height the same.

Thank you @subway13029, huge clouds and cooler, but in an awesome way... All is good! I love the old classic, my Model Mi. She is bold, flashing us a little "glass". So far she tastes sweetest off all 4 Milaanas.

Nice to see you got new company!:)

Funny to hear your classic is smaller. Mine is a bit bigger than no. 2 and 3, which are the same size wise. Also I could see that my OG short stem is significantly longer than the short one I received later.
Could posts pics tomorrow, if some was interested? Does size matter to anyone? :D

I guess i got the runt of the family..lol..
Sweet & Petite

Question... how many vaperists have you shared your Mi with, who got surprised at the super huge hit, but without combustion (lots of coughing?) (including you)?

Combusting, which is quite easy with Mi (esp new) might make sharing lots of work, and doesn't count on the above question.

wife: check
self: check
tomorrow night 2 friends new to vaping: ???????

Husband: Nope, doesn't like it. Says it is like sucking salt. I think it must be too dry for him. He likes the look though, says it looks like something his Dad would have used in the 70's.

Myself: Easy to hit, press button and rip, not as much clouds but I like it ok. I have to admit, I still prefer Vapman. I feel a bit silly with my mouth over the 18mm, it's so big. (This is sounding really wrong! Unintended, I promise.)

Milaana is the only other vape I've used, it's been very educational. :) She'd be great for someone interested in water and glass I bet. Lots of variables to play with!

If the VapMan is your only prior experience, welcome to a whole new world of convection vapor  for someone like you the Milaana will just get better and better with time. You say your not getting clouds that are big enough yet, don't worry my friend the Milaana can produce clouds every bit as big as the VapMan if not much larger. Keep learning and you will fall in love. If I were you I'd look into a log vape or another convection desktop to try out. now that you like convection vapor you may want it in a regulated source. You can always wait for Zion as well ;)
Stay vaped :peace::leaf:

I got some custom Milaana stems from @Alan today I thought I'd share with you all!:D

From left to right:
wood stem, glass lined wood stem, cork slide-a-bowl stem, micro dose glass tube/stem, micro dose with extended silicone sleeve (works great with the Nibbler G water pill), and a 18mm male glass to 18mm cork WPA stem.

@Alan s work is absolutely amazing!

wish I could give you a "cloud" lesson. I get bigger clouds on the Mi than combustion, and definitely bigger than any other vape experience (tried about 20 vapes).

Feather (breath and button) riding the line of "non" combustion, the only limitation is what my lungs will hold. And I never, ever use anything but short dry stem. You get very used to 18mm after a short time (I was an AA guy for 2 years, all 14mm).

@Vape Dr.
awesome, awesome, awesome... I need a mod lesson from you my friend. Are you actually using the cork as an adapter? Hook me up with Alan, please. I need all of those!

I'm not worried about cloudage, it's the effect that I'm after, and she works great for that! I didn't get consistent clouds from Vapman for months, didn't bother me. Now is a different story of course.. I'm confident that with practice, Milaana will be a great vape, too. I think my only complaint is with the stem. I'd love to try a long stem with a narrower end to increase the speed and make it more comfortable. That would be the greatest. :)

So I finally got mine today. Batteries on charger now. Ryan did include a few extra stems (THANK YOU FOR THAT!!), two of them are colored (one a brown/gold color and one blue.....nice), and one MEDIUM stem that is right in between the long and short in length. Sadly it had a small crack in it, right at the mouthpiece. May be able to use, not sure. Looks like perfect length to me. All stems fit nicely, and finish on unit is pretty good. I got 2 green (2500mah) and one brown (3000mah) batteries. I do detect a very faint smell/taste of glue but doesn't seem problematic. Can't wait to give it a trial run.

I need that glass-lined wood stem. Is @Alan planning to produce and sell these? Inquiring Mi-nds want to know.
