Fits nice with capsule holder, is a bit of a squeeze with filling aid also but still closes. I work on a farm and needed something to protect it without being to big. Will mainly just be vape and capsule holder for me.

I was tryna order one but its only showing up for UK...

Ye ima get one...

When I first bought a Crafty (later traded in for a Mighty) I was looking for a pocket vaporizer able to produce big clouds without charring the plant material. Both vaporizers actually perform very well in this category.
Recently I have started to take the opposite approach. Reading so much about terpenes and their benefits inspired me in this direction. I live in San Francisco and visit clubs that tout extensive descriptions of various flavor profiles. Yes I love to smell the herb before using, indeed really getting into different smells, yet when put in the vaporizer after maybe two hits it all pretty much taste the same, alas.
So now I start off at a MUCH lower temperature, 315 to be precise and have MANY flavor hits that produce very little visible flavour but taste fantastic and definitely start to produce an effect. I finish off at 345 or 356, very satisfied.
The dosing caps have also changed my technique completely. As for these flavor hits I'm more interested in convection instead of conduction, I actually wait to put the dosing cap in until the device has heated to the desired temperature. This prevents a slow toasting during the warm up period and gives even more opportunities to actually TASTE the herb. I do not know whether I get more benefits from these different terpenes this way, but it's certainly more enjoyable for me really noticing these very different flavors, from strain to strain.
Of course when I'm on the go I usually go back to leaving the cap in while the heating is taking place and yes occasionally I still go back to the bigger clouds LOL

how can I check if my mighty is a older/newer version?
...and if your serial # has any letters at all, besides MY at beginning, the piece is relatively new. But the housing change (thicker around bowl, for one thing) and 2 min. shutoff are the earlier, noteworthy incremental improvements.

My Mighty has the thicker jim on the top middle...but only starts with MY...I'm assuming its a revised unit... The Mighty to see feels well made and I can't see how a fin would just break for no reason other than contact...i make it a habit how holding it secure and placing it down gently just like I do my iPhone...

Pharoh,
I have another update on my RMA. S&B received my faulty (broken on/off button) Mighty Friday. This morning I got formal notice they'd received it and about an hour ago, I got notice of shipment of the replacement unit.

I find it interesting they are equal-opportunity shippers as they sent me a pre-paid label for UPS, but are returning to me via FedEx. Makes no diff to me, but expected delivery date is Thursday.

It's been mildly disconcerting to have had this unit since last October, gotten so used to it, then to be without it for a few weeks is a pain (said the spoiled child). But happy days are right around the corner.

I was very skeptical as to the level of service I could expect, but it's really been smooth and consistent.

cheers

Without it for a few weeks? This sounds like a really quick turnaround...
Even so, I hope you had some kind of backup!

That's why you always keep a backup. I have the ff2 in case my Mighty needs an rma

Actually many of the earlier versions started with MY. My first one, which is from early 2015 (pre-redesigned housing, one minute shut-off) starts with MY (the number is 12xxx).

The number itself, and the different housing, are the best ways to tell. You can also send SB your number and the will give you a definitive answer on age of the unit.

I've had a Crafty ever since it was first released and thankfully been lucky with it since it's still humming along and still holds a sufficient charge.
I just recently got my new Mighty and my review is as follows:
This mother F'er hits hard and the battery goes for ever. That covers it. :D

Actually, don't all of the versions start with MY?. At some point, housing was beefed up. And shut-off timer went 1 to 2 min. We hear about 'firmware' but that's virtually an unknown in Mighty.

If you'll look back at how I worded it you'll see that I'm also describing the newest discernable change, and that is of the serial number format. While it still begins with MY (I believe), the remaining identifiers are a combination of numbers and letters, not just numbers.

Ahhh...I did indeed mis-read what you wrote. I'll just chalk it up to too much Mighty usage. :p

In any event it sounds like his # is 35xxx-ish, which would make it one of the later ones (maybe made late 2015) but not one of the newest new ones....not that that matters feature wise. (I don't really have any issues with my 12xxx unit, so far, knock wood....even the one minute shut off doesn't bother me anymore....)
