Liger banger V2.0

Just received my Liger on Friday morning, had all weekend to play with it and I couldn't be happier. Waited just over a month for it to arrive. Bought one of his mini-sword dabbers as well and he threw in an extra storm cap with it, which was a really nice surprise.

Build quality is phenomenal, every piece is perfect. To those still waiting, it's worth it!

Got my 20mm Liger, SiC Insert and Storm Cell Cap on Friday, been dropping bhombs all weekend! Still playing around with temps, but I think My rdk200 will stay between 625 and 660. I must have ran about 4gs thru her so far, I'm blown away at how little claim has built up in my rig... far less than what would build up using my quartz banger. I can't wait to try it out on the Purple FTK from CCG that was just delivered to my work.

Recieved my new (blue) Liger v2 / new Master Cap & new Quartz inserts this past Saturday. Josh emailed me and told me that due to the long wait he would throw in a extra Quartz insert and true to his word he did. I originally ordered the standard cap and was told by Josh he would upgrade me to the Master Cap for my patronage (this is my third Liger v2). Yes I know that we have all waited on orders from Josh but I don't mind waiting because I know what I'm getting will be top notch. His last batch of Quartz inserts didn't meet his specs, he easily could have sold them as most vendors would do. Here's a guy who takes pride in his products and takes care of his customers, can't wait to see the Liger v3.

product is nothing short of phenomenal. will be using it in all my videos and i'm going to try and get the other CCC members on board as well. just gave it the first cleaning today, effortless disassembly and all pieces being separate made it a breeze.

i featured it on the channel here in this video:

i keep seeing the flat coil inserts in this thread. where's the flat coil liger at..i cannot wait for it anymore!

I've been in a bit of a dry spell concentrate wise lately as I live in a place they're not the easiest to get, so when I first got the Liger I only had a very small amount of some old shitty stuff. I got my hands on some fresh wax today and wow! I never understood what "flavor" people were always trying to improve but with the sic insert in the Liger I was in flavor heaven!

(( a Lil over medicated I apologize a head of time if my line of thought confusespecially anyone))
if i may ask you the same line of questions . Because am looking at photodo not see what what you say your seeing ingredients how would the Liger belike to suckered the dab through. The insert dish has a wall that's a quarter inch tall the other is about and eighth of an inch tall but the bottom is concave so from bottom dish it's 5/16 give or take 1/32. How much liquid does around 14mm round dish that deep hold... a I've done .6 party dabs and when using the deeper cup side of the insert ((which is why there are two options for the cup size one each insert . And two things about the Liger compared to halo makes me have to assume the halo is far more likely to have liquids sucked into the vapor path. The first is the air flow intake being level or below the dab dish while the liger like all banger the air path it above the level of the liquids in the dish gravity is a a pretty strong force. The next being that insert almost entirely heated with in 5 degrees Fahrenheit ((using a calibtated extech dual thermocouple with temperature differential logger)) so dabs won't really try and run up the sides. That's even with quartz inserts... hated the quartz halos dabs always up the walls ....leaving a dark rim .... I understand that SiCs thermal properties should fix this but fixs the issue and is now available...but what if I was someone whon simply prefer the option of quartz. ....never liked the quartz dish from dnail

Which Extech model are you using?

+1 on the hybrid/halo nail having oil run up the sides. i don't know how this isn't a more widely addressed issue, i felt i was losing 20%~ of my dab to the cold walls of the cup; q-tip proved my theory time and time again. if i went in with a cold carb cap (something i took for granted) the dab would just jump onto the roof of the carb cap which ruined the toke instantly.

no matter how hard (and i have some lungs on me) i tear at the liger i cannot get oil to jump out of the insert onto the ti walls or into the intake. granted this is the 20mm model..but all i've noticed is if anything there is a tiny droplet in the very center of the insert because that's where there is the least heat. the ONLY oil i want to be losing is that which remains after low temping. no oil lost to dabber tip, no oil lost to poorly designed HE/Dnail quartz cup. the liger has answered that question.

there is a revision coming to the HE nail which gives it a lot more surface area on the bottom of the dish and makes the inside edges rounded for easier q-tipping..but i still feel that the fundamental design is flawed as the dab is still going to leech onto the colder walls of the cup..not to mention the angular limitations of the nail.

really looking forward to the new tech coming soon!

So I finally got to experience the Liger after only using Dnail Halo dishes and I have to say WOW!!!! I used to think the Halo dishes did such a good job of vaping my dabs. When in reality, they were just helping me be wasteful. I used to clean up my pieces after a few days of use due to concentrate building up in places. But since I have been using the Liger. It has shown me that I really do not need to use as much concentrate to get amazing dabs. I found after messing with the temp and pairing it with a solid recycler thanks to @EVlL 55 for pointing out that the Liger actually worked better with a good recycler piece. So far I have tried it on a few different pieces and have had to adjust the temp up or down around 15 to 20 degrees. I am using the 20mm version with the Quartz insert and cannot wait to try out the SiC inserts once they come in. Not sure how I could go back now that I have seen how clean my pieces stay while dabbing the shit out of them with my Liger. I have found that once I found the perfect temp range and used less concentrate. I got a perfect hit and had none or very little concentrate left in the dish. I have been dabbing from the end of the cap and letting it sit for a few seconds before toking. I found this gave it enough time to melt off the end and into the cup without having anything build up on the bottom of the carb cap.

If you are on the ropes. Go get one and realize what all the hype around the Liger is. I really wish other nails could stay as clean and also keep my rigs as clean as the Liger has so far =)

Great review my fellow NorthWesterner:) I cannot wait for mine to arrive.

Dude I've been waiting so long to see a nice video of the liger in use. Great videos man. Definitely helped make me more determined to pick one up. been researching the liger for a long while now and have been waiting for the v3 to come out. Patiently wondering how well it will pair with my 10mm banger hanger and how I will be able to pick from the color selection. Haha! also going to have to get an enail now. And Just a Quartz insert to start... Shit this is a slippery slope guys

I "cleaned" my Liger for the 3rd time yesterday, I'm amazed how little reclaim collects in it and my rig compared to every other banger/nail that I've used.

I weighed the claim I collected from my quartz banger from the last month, just under 7g

The claim I pulled out of the Liger from the past month of heavy use wasn't even worth putting on the scale. I'd guess it was maybe .2 - .3g

IMO the Liger is so efficient it pays for itself!

those claim stats are awesome bhomb!!!
Getsoutalive- I clouded up my cfab banger (dhgate hyman whatever it is) right away after a few torch cleans  I'm ready for the liger, I just hope I enjoy it with a torch for a while cause I don't plan on buying an enail first.
Also- Josh said the v3 will be coming out on ~7/10 so hopefully within two weeks

Exactly. I don't collect reclaim at all. I simply wait until I start getting a little condensed resin dripping out of the bottom, then disassemble, soak overnight in 99% ISO, clean/scrape, and reassemble. The Liger is way efficient.

But cleaning the SIC and liger is a bit of a pain, the joints can get very stuck together and the SIC typically requires scraping with a metal tool to get most of the carbonized bits off. Likewise, i usually have to scrape the inside of the titanium bucket to get all the carbonized bits off. Do this about weekly.

I've been looking at the Liger recently and reading up but I'm a little confused by the Storm Cell cap/dabber and accessories. There is a Traditional Set and a Master Set available. Since there are no pics I am trying to deduce the differences between the two. Do you need the Master Set to have the dabber and cap in one?

EDIT: Looks like that is the case but the extra cost would be mitigated by the free shipping if I decided to get the full kit.

What are people's thoughts regarding SiC vs. Quartz? Any reason to not go with the SiC straight away? The description makes it seem superior.

Here is a pic that was posted showing the caps. The middle gold colored is the master and the 2 to the right of it are the standard. The master lets you choose the dab ends on the top and bottom. Where the standard does not.

Other than that the caps should perform the same as they both come with the adjustable air hole feature.

Hope this helps =)

Yep, the master set just comes with the skeleton handle and different dab tips like inthe 3rd from the left. The standards are the right 2 and you pick 1 dab tool. The skeleton handle does stay a lot cooler but the regular set is a better value I think unless you will use the different dab tools, then it awesome!

I do get reclaim out of my drop down but only about 10% of what I used to get from my quartz banger. Cleaning is a snap though. I torch the fuck out of my SiC dishes and they become like new again. That may be the 1 advantage to Sic besides better thermal properties, is that they will hold up to repeated torch cleanings better. BUT I also torch clean my CCA quartz with no ill effects. And I soak the Ti in warm iso for a few minutes. The only part that sometimes needs extra attention is the tube between the bucket and the body. I just reamed it out with a paper clip once when it got a little clogged. I have run Ounces and ounces of concentrates through my Ligers and found reclaim and Cleanup to be the the best of any nails, period. Not to mention even my first gen Liger that is 2 years old is in perfect working order, Even the quartz insert.
