I'm game! Are you going to do a gong adapter for bubblers?

You can count me in if you do a GonG adapter and for a couple of the medium length stems also

Seems like a lot of demand for GonG adapter. We can work on it and see what we come up with. Let me know any specific parameter requests to see what a good general consensus is for a simple functional setup.

& Thank you for the support !!

Just so Dab HAppy!
I know I would be interested in 18mm male to 18mm male GonG but moreso would be interested in 14mm male to 18/22mm male GonG.

@nosmoking OK, I need to check on the availability of the 14mm. Will know more after the 4 Day weekend and see what I can throw together. 18mm M to 18mm M we can do.

Can u shorten the male joint like the pv stems? That would allow for the glass screen to be closer to the heater?? I didn't know you could cut a joint down but I think @Bravesst has one? It allows the use of the basket screen I guess but if the joint could be cut then it would naturally make the glass screen closer...

I like that idea.

Usually I've only seen them shortened at the small end of the taper (which is how the PV stems are) but that doesn't actually bring the screen any closer to the heater, it just leaves a gap between the stem and the heater screen.

If they did manage to shorten the taper in the way that would work here, you'd probably have to make the diameter of the stem smaller as well. Which isn't bad really, it would give you a slightly smaller bowl size which would be great because imo the stock stems are too wide.

Shortening the narrow end of the joint will not move the screen closer to the heater, it will just move the tip of the joint further from the heater.

The 'fattest' bit of the joint will still fit the widest part of the female joint as before, and prevent the stem from inserting any closer into the unit.

Shortening the joint by removing some of the 'fat' end of the joint before the glass tube is attached would move the screen closer to the heater, but I imagine that that would be a lot of work to do compared to just fitting the glass screen (I've done a fair bit of glassblowing, but never worked with ready made scientific joints, so I could be wrong here).

The PV stems are shortened from the narrow end, which allows the use of the basket screens with a rim.

Sorry @ZC, you already said this :bang:

Count me in for 2 shorties, please. Nice work!
Got you down for 2 shorties. Thank you! Somehow missed your post.

For anyone else following just a quick update. I'm working on getting this initial order started and then getting some prototypes of the 18M to 18M and 18M to 14M.

@smutman can you elaborate further on what you'd like?

Have a lifted weekend everyone!

I will be passing on these. I need the screen on the other end (not near the 14,18mm male end as I see in the pics). What ya got posted pic wise doesn't help me but I do thank you for asking. Wish y'all luck in this venture

I would say keep an eye on the thread cause @cannabis.pro is working on a solution for micro loading...perhaps that will get you closer to what your looking for.

Im a lil Late to the party, but I would be interested in 2x 18mm to 18mm gongs. One with a glass screen one without :)

We have been experimenting with some glass to use along with the stems shown in the previous posts. The two pieces listed in the bottom two pictures allow for less material to be used in the glass screened stem.

Keep in mind, that these German joints vary in glass width from the joints being used by RBT in house and that are included with the Milaana. These two micro-dosing solutions above will not fit inside the RBT stems.

On the left is the Top Hat: It acts as a bullet like insert for the glass screened stem. Materials do not need to be ground if using dry flowers (buds), simply break off a piece that is a little wider on one or two sides than the diameter of the tube and insert them inside. With the Top Hat, normally about two budlets will fill the hat. Extraction doesn't happen as quickly compared to ground up material, however the taste sticks around longer.

On the right is the 12mm crutch: With this, simply insert the crutch into the glass joint first so it sits next to the screen melted in place. At the end, insert a budlet to lock both the budlet and glass crutch in place. This reduces the amount of material needed compared to the Top Hat or the glass screened stem alone. Extraction happens at a slower rate than ground herb but taste remains longer.

For reference Bare stem: Holds 3-4 budlets and using with this method, it will take longer to heat the materials farthest away from the heater.

Please let me know thoughts, suggestions, improvements, etc.

Sign me up for some Top hats and a crutch!
These look like they may well be brilliant, especially when combined with your stems.
Could several of the 'Top Hats' be prefilled, and loaded on demand?

If so we may need you or @Ratchett to offer a caddy for a few pre-filled Top Hats.

Really looking forward to these, well done @cannabis.pro :bowdown:

Thank you @Copacetic! I do believe several Top Hats could easily be prefilled and loaded as needed. Waiting on some material to arrive and I'll see what I can do in terms of a caddy.

Eagerly, eagerly waiting for all this to be available.
Hoping to get production rolling next week.

For everyone waiting or requesteing the GonG 18M to 18M or 18M to 14M, what kind of length would be optimal for the middle section between the joints?

@virtualpurple See you are interested in 2, but which 2 exactly?

Thanks again for the support everyone!

BRILLIANT!
I was hoping that would be possible.

I imagine filling a TH with herb, inserting it into the stem (with the TH 'screen' towards the heater so that the herb is 'encapsulated') then adding a little concentrate on something like hemp fiber or a concentrate pad.
This would hopefully expose the concentrate to higher temperatures than the herb, maximizing the extraction of both.

It might also improve the experience of vaping herb with other botanicals which have a different ideal vape temp', e.g. mint or chamomile etc etc with herb?

Any idea of price yet?

I'm missing my Millana.
Ryan has hopefully shipped me some new stems, but they aren't here yet and I'm not keen on using the GonG that I bodged myself as a mouthpiece as the basket occasionally drops out of place which is tolerable on a water piece, but I don't want to take the risk of inhaling a bunch of herb when used native.

So I'm also delighted that you think you might start production NEXT WEEK (!):bowdown::whip:

Edit:
I agree with @ZC re' keeping the distance between the M/M joint to a minimun.
1/2 inch or so would be fine with me too.

Between the joints? Maybe 1/2" at max. Really don't want a ton of space there since it's kind of useless space tbh.

Besides, the longer the M2M the more leverage it gets to put pressure on the joints if you leave the Mi on it unsupported. (Which you shouldn't do anyways, but I'm sure a lot of people do from time to time.)

I think at this point I'd order a short stem, a 14-18 M2M, and both micro-dosing solutions.
