OPINION(s) ... (Not a DEBATE)

The words are real - no vendor nor product is mentioned. It's all about what U think a 30 day low price guarantee is ...

Very reputable vendor offers a seasonal celebration discount, reducing price on its site.
Purchase ... Receipt & use :smug: :smug: :smug: ... discover need for accessories, so go back to site and
see 4th of July celebration discount 2x the other ...

Looked @ webpage, saw the XYZY endorsement logo re 30 day lowest price guarantee, DID NOT CHECK THE DTEALS, ... I know how i feel comes across below, doesnt make me rirght, though!
Here it is:

* Hi,I sincerely apologize but due to the amount of time that has passed since the initial purchase we are unable to add any further discounts to the order. That being said, feel free to give us a shout on your next order and we can provide you with free rush processing. Thanks James! Happy fourth of July!

** Your association with Norton AV and it's low price guarantee suggests a 30 day period. I should have included that originally - sorry. Pls relook.
* Hi, I apologize for any confusion, the 30 day guarantee would kick in if you purchased an item on our site and shortly after saw that we had lowered the price. There is a 72 hour window if you were to find it on another site.We typically do not credit the difference for coupons but we will make exceptions if the customer contacts us within a 24 hour period. Unfortunately because it has been a few weeks since the transaction I am unable to provide any further refunds/discounts.That being said, feel free to give me a call when you place your next order and I will be more than happy to provide you with a free rush or a nice discount.

** I am disappointed - I was actually looking to purchase an accessory or two when I noticed the XYZY Price guarantee ... read rule, it applied, and I asked for consideration. (Purchased at summer special - saw new special). You and I are experiencing for ouselves how a rigged system operates. Are you certain the XY price guarantee endorsement as it appears on your site does not apply? Is your business policy in this regard different from their guarantee? You offered a sale for a limited time and I bought; less than 30 says later you offer a larger discount sale for a limited time and I claim the difference ... in virtue of the expectations the XY approved vendor endorsement.

* Hi, I completely understand. Although I'm unable to offer a refund, I was successfully able to get management to approve the addition of YY shopper points to your account, which can be used towards any future purchase. I hope this helps. Thanks.

** Thank you - but no. Refunding the difference is approximately XX$. That is cash back in my pocket, You speak now of approving a $XX credit to use @ your store?
Please, at a minimum, honor the guarantee. Nothing in the offer and exchange in the 1st transaction voids the guarantee, The guarantee returns XX$. This isn't a negotiation, friends ... And, it would greatly benefit your business image to use an inconvenience factor of 5 applied to the store credit.

* Hi - Again, I understand where you are coming from but there was a misunderstanding when reading our XYZY Guarantee. We will honor a refund if you find a lower item price on our site within 30 days of purchase. We will honor a refund if you find a lower item price on a different site within 72 hours. We do not however state we will honor a refund for the difference between coupons. That being said we would like to offer you the 200 reward points as some sort of compensation. Please let me know if you have any further questions and I'd be more than happy to help out. Thank you

** On 6/22, item purchase price on your site = XXX ... item right now is YYY on your site.
During business/patriotic periods add'l discounts were given by you ... i found the lower item price ... within 30 days.

* Hi - Item price refers to the MSRP pricing on the item itself, this does not include discounts.
If you hover over the "restrictions apply" section on the Low Price Guarantee form, you will see a window pop up that states "does not include sitewide discounts or coupons". Again, all that being said, we can still provide you with the 200 reward points.Thank you

** Thank you for the answers. This is my understanding: - An item available for purchase on your site is generally listed close to the msrp. You offer occasional incentives to buy by disscounting/lowering the purchase price. - The 30 day lowest price guarantee does not apply to changes resulting from a business decision regarding the internal incentive.
I agree, too, that on the surface some would misunderstand the meaning the sign and endorsement ... I neglected my obligation to inform myself of the restrictions under which the guaranteed lowest price guarantee is structured; I did not seek out the available details.
I mislead myself ... The reality is significantly different from implied expectations. This is fodder for those ... hoping for renewal.

* Hi - I completely see your point of view and I do understand how this detail could have been overlooked. We still want to make sure you receive some sort of compensation for being a loyal customer and thus why we will be adding in the XX reward points that you can use towards virtually anything on our site. Also, as an added token of appreciation, please give me a call when you would like to place your next order and I will also be happy to include a free rush for you.You can reach me on my direct line at nonamehere.
That's it ...
What's your take?

Add some spacing to your post because I'm having a hard time reading it. Not trying to offend. Welcome to the forum.

Check out the vendors on FC 's Forum. I use @PuffItUp and @PlanetVape a lot. Good prices especially Randy at puffitup will price match. Really some fair deals. See how you can also get 10% off on each fc sponsor.

Edit
Thank you for breaking it up for us folks with eyes that are a little older.

These companies need to do business concepts that profit the company. I don't see anything wrong with how they handled things. Sometimes the cost of shipping really is a killer on the profit margins. It looks like they didn't make their rules stated so everyone understood.

The companies on this website have been vetted by the best.:D

Yeah, it would read a lot better if you just summed things up. But from what I read, I don't see what the vendor did wrong. They did offer you a future discount right?

Exactly how much money are we talking about that you wanted credit for? If it's under $25 I'd just let it go.

Edit: Also, I don't see how exactly this is a thread for Community Discussion. But I'm often wrong.

It sounds like they made it clear enough in the fine print to counter a credit card dispute but they should probably make it clearer to customers to avoid a soured experience like you had. Lots of other vape companies out there though, I can personally vouch for PlanetVape.

Thanks, friends.

I did want to see what the "community" thought about this ... the difference, though above 50us, is not the main concern.

If I think my "store" has guaranteed my purchase to the extent that if, within 30 days it is offered for sale at a lower price, the difference is guaranteed mrefundable. That is the surface statement - good, almost a business survival law.

Something is wrong when the price is later defined as the msrp, and not the bottom line price offered via vendor incentives. WHat then is the guarantee? Is this too part of that rigged system we're hearing about, but armen't too sure it applies to me?

The Q. is:
- Store site xxx lists item @ 100, but periodically discounts price with, e.g., a summer sale. Purchase during that offer is 90.
- store xxx, offers additional holiday discount. PUrchase price now 80.

? U buy @ 90, later ck on accessories and see price is now 80.

How many understand a lowest price guarantee as referring to the "list - or msrp" in the calculation?

My peculiar mind thinks , well, I Pd 90 ... It's 80 now ... Store site l/p guarantee = 10 back.

I've been exposed to skeptisism, and am a hopeful skeptic alot of the time - it's all in the fine print, which I don't read ... Resulting in more small print words that define terms which, in effect, rarely if ever applies.

Not alone?????

Sorry, I had more trouble reading the above than the original post. :hmm:

I have trbl readng & wrtng ... I try to appear less confused than I am ... (the asterisked wordage was mostly from csr's)

I buy stuff on Amazon all the time, and see it at a lower price the next day. What's the problem?

IDK what Amzon requires of contracted vendors.

A STORY
Jen sees something desirable.
The purchase price of this item by reputable sellers is holding steady at 600.
On June 22 Jen sees item now 540 due to summer celebration!
Jen orders, and later decides it would be good to have some accessories.
Returning to the site Jen sees the item offered at 480 due to independence celebration.
My usual bad timing, thinks Jen!
(Almost the end).
Jen notices an endorsement stating the seller will guarantee the price for 30 days ... refunding the difference!!
Ah, thinks Jen, an additional 60 can get more accessories ... YAY 4 ME!!!

Not yay for thee, Jen ... Dismay, per chance, for thou didst not read further, wherein the truth is revealed in the definitions, exclusions, and more words. Close - but no ...

There was no problem ... Expectation, yes ... As the story ends, Jen is sad, yet more sensitive to life's glitter & glitz ... light shows and noise ... it's the way of the world...

Jen decides to pursue accessories elsewhere, and as suggested/modified/created by other experienced members here.

The way Jen fixes that issue is to do one of the following
  • Return the unopened original item for a full refund or
  • Purchase a new one at the reduced price & return it with the original receipt for a full refund
I was assuming it was a retail transaction of some description. If it is high end vape gear then the serial numbers will have probably been noted against the transaction.

It sounds shady as fuck if the company will not work with you when the price was substantially lowered within two weeks of purchase. A month or more I totally understand the vendor position but two weeks?

I would be most interested to see the T&C's for this company as I specialize in mitigating risk through T&C's.

I liked the reading glasses idea @t-dub!!
Got some rose colored low price guarantee one here ...

The seller's csr's had difficulty explaining ... nevertheless - if the definition of the lowest price always equals the posted retail price, exclusive of "coupon" or special sales, well, that's it then!!!

They should have a clearly defined price matching policy & it is not difficult to explain. All retail discounts are calculated from MSRP however if they advertised the item at say $100 - 10% = $90 but the next week have it advertised at $100 - 20% = $80 then you have a case as they have advertised the lower price.

In my country if a vendor defines "lowest advertised price" as one without any discounts/sales applied they would be answering a case in court from the fair trade ombudsman & they would lose badly. Who is the vendor? PM me if you don't want to post it.
