Didn't take it wrong in the least and just wanted to make sure you knew we were listening. Glad you are enjoying it! I am not familiar enough with ed's butter to say for sure, but know the quality products he puts out, so I would say yes. (Just added our own finish to our accessories also).

Saw a couple people mention a taste with the walnut wood. anyone else notice the walnut taste more than cherry? Is that just normal? Does it go away? I'm not a huge nut when it comes to flavor and wood is never bad to me, I just would want to avoid a taste that is going to stay forever? I like the way the walnut looks but I've always liked cherry. Thanks for anyone's input.

As the man himself said...the walnut takes slightly longer to dissipate, but both will loose the wooden taste as the bowl gets covered with gooey green goodness.

It definitely WILL NOT last forever!

Unless you have the most sensitive pallet known to man...in which case you may?

Hahaha I deffinantly do not, but sitting here puffing my Evo I think about this and would I want this pallet you speak of? Could be a blessing and a curse forsure. I'm stuck in between yes and no I'll have to get back to you on that
Thank you for the info sir. I think I'm going to go with walnut  I'm literally cleaning stuff right now to make room for the Brick

Good thing about a brick is it often makes room for itself :brow:

Welcome to the club!
Now that I'm getting more dialed in, much better flavor and really no wood taste. Just had a bowl where the vapor was so thick I was certain I combusted. Nope. Might have been thickest I have seen. Unbelievable.

That has happened to me more times than I can count!

Popping the brick open after expelling a massive cloud; expecting to see a sea of ash and cherries....

Nope just a slightly roasted heap of goodies

Glad to know you're buying one! I went with the cherry over the walnut due to a few posts mentioning the "woody" taste that was present in the walnut. I really like the look of the walnut over the cherry though...really dig that darker walnut. And I feel you on the evo taste. Just finished a few elbs myself.

Another thing that got me about this device besides the lung busting hits I saw other people taking is the "organic" nature of it. No electricity required and it's pretty much on demand as it gets. Fuck I wish I had of ordered this a few days ago so I could have it by the weekend. I can't wait to get the brick...all these reviews and videos are making the wait that much worse.

And @WakeAndVape...you're videos kick ass dude. One of the big reasons I decided to get a brick.

Agreed ^^^

I sure hope I haven't influenced anyone against the walnut. I have to say, mine is beautiful, and the taste is/was no issue. I wouldn't change mine for the cherry, and I don't think this should even be a factor in deciding to be honest.

Hey, at least I'm good for something around here! Let me know if I was right when you get it?

@Slow Draw McGraw I like that method as well...great minds!

I wonder how strong the intake stem is?

Seems like a blast with the torch on the glass for a moment would make it hot enough to dab on the intake?

Maybe some mesh in the middle to catch cowardly oil running down the stem...

I'm having a little more luck with my beautiful Brick. I've been getting good hits, my issue is that it's taking a while to start forming vapor.

I'm pretty sure I need a new torch. I have some Xing torch lighters on the way, in the mean time I plan on picking up a bigger torch locally. The Eagle torch that came with it from Puffitup seems weak, even at max power I have to be pretty aggressive with the flame to get vapor. Not a big deal as I was planning on starting a torch collection anyway lol.

I love the tweezers and stir stick that came with it, and it's cool that they stick to the side to keep them nice and handy. The light on the tweezers is very useful for checking how done the bowl is.

The walnut is beautiful. I'm glad I chose it over the cherry, although I'm sure those look great too. The dark wood just makes it look a little classier in my opinion. The glass on the mouthpiece is crazy thick, and the heat intake stem is very thick too. Great craftsmanship all around!

I just had one of these hits. A massive thick white cloud, I thought for sure I had finally pushed it too far and combusted. Nope, my herb was just a nice even light brown.

The wood taste is going away fast, and it's really only noticeable as the flavor of the herb fades. I should have known I didn't combust with that huge hit because it tasted too damn good to be smoke.

Torch vapes all the way!
so ive taken my brick with to, 2 mall trips and dave and busters and i took a quick vape break at a speedway from a long drive home and id say its really portable because if you use a 3 torch lighter you can pack a small bowl and do it one hitter style for a good big single rip

Ok lighter recommendations for the brick! I'm looking for cheap and reliable for at home use. I recently got rid of all my torches :bang: so yeah I have a double flame for my vapcaps that is perfect for that and that's about it I'll have the one that comes with the brick. I don't really want another HUGE Creme brûlée torch, I gave mine to a buddy for his supreme v3. Would I be good with the one it comes with or is a bigger torch needed? What kind of bigger ones are you using?
Cheers :peace:

I've been using a small triple torch from a local smoke shop. It's been working great and produces vapor instantly.

Ok I'm on PIU and they have 2 Zico torches on there, figure I may as well add one and if I need to I can get a cheap bernzomatic torch from Home Depot if I need a bigger one. My double flame from the VapCap should be cool and the one it comes with. But out of the 2 Zico lighters one is totally straight and one is goose necked. Anyone have an opinion?
Edit: they are all out of stock! lol nvm then I will make due with the stock lighter and the one I have.

Email PIU...I emailed them yesterday saying I wanted to order a brick but was wanting a Zico torch too. Jake replied back that they have them in stock but haven't updated it yet. Said he would throw in one for free and to send him the link in the comments to the one I want. I went with the straight one...just liked the shape better. But yeah hit them up on email.
