Difference between "single hitter" and "session" vaporizers?

@Ricardo you are correct that the stone is different between a session with herb on the Ascent vs a blast of Rosin.

That's part of what I like about Rosin, the high is much more head and a little trippy, but doesn't give you couch lock, which makes it great while out and about, I'm getting seriously medicated, but it's not as obvious as if I was vaping weed and getting all that CBD.

I still enjoy when at home ripping my bubbler with my Solo or Ascent, I just find the concentrate pen much easier, stealthier and allows me to get medicated quickly and then get on with my day, rather than the ritual that goes with firing up a dry herb vape and having a session.

This is just the path I have taken and found it works for me, others here have their way and like using external heat sources and log vapes etc...

I chose to have nothing to do with a flame, butane, or anything I could easily burn myself with such as a vapcap, as the disability I medicate means I have no fine motor control and operating these devices needs a little dexterity that I lack.

Rosin for me wasn't the easy option by a long chalk, it's expensive to make and I just spent $1,000.00 setting myself up with all the equipment I need plus concentrate pens and accessories, having tried with hair straighteners with little success.

However, the second I tasted rosin and felt the way it medicated me, I fell in love and haven't regretted a singe cent!

Plus as I'm in the UK, and bought before Brexit, the exchange rate worked in my favour

Coming from a smoking culture where a bowl is loaded, then smoked and finished in a single hot before someone loads and smokes again. One bowl one hit, that's what I call a single hitter. So far the VC is the closest thing I've found, but many on demand convection vapes can go close with a smaller load.
I personally I don't multiple hits per bowl but still looking for the elusive single hitter to show friends, thinking VonG vapcap or a log could go close with some micro loading I'm sure!

I use my Vapman as a single hitter. 1 hit per bowl and the capacity is like 0.03-0.04g. I don't use it to get blasted but to maintain my high, or when i just want/can do 1 hit.

So there definetly are a couple of onehitters but it depends on your tolerance how high you get. I don't feel much untill i do 3 bowls or more in a row Therefore i usually use my Air or Solo to get blasted.

That's pretty much it. The old Purple Days (log vape similar to HI and UD) had a very small capacity bowl, but I could usually get a bunch of hits from it.

No vape maker wants to limit their product to just one hit. Most people would get sick of reloading after a single hit. So although some may refer to a particular model as a 'one hitter', that would be incorrect and you'd have to load really small and up the temp to actually finish it off in one hit.

I run my EVO at max to start then turn it down to 1:30 after it heatsoaks (Any higher and I risk combustion) and run it for hours and hours at a time.
Yeah I fill my ELBs about half way so there's room for the herb to move around.
At a guess I'd say I'm pulling for 30 seconds or so and the vapour is very thin at the end of the draw.

If I put more in then I try stirring but the second pull is usually pretty wispy, dry on my throat and tastes toasted.

Yeah the sub seems like the end all be all of huge milky vape hits. Thank god I get to try one this week! I love my EVO and consider it top of the line, but this sublimator.. WOW is all I can say.. Can't wait to start subbin I would have brought up the sublimator as a one hitter but even that thing when you watch videos people have a hard time clearing a very small load in 1 hit. It seems like that thing just produces and produces. When my buddy gets this package I'm going to hopefully get high school stoned lol.

100% the high is higher, cleaner and more cerebral than it ever was when I 'smoked', problem is you have to give up smoking to appreciate it!

I can use my EQ as a one hitter if I pack a small amount in the basket screen and turn up the temperature. I usually do sessions though with more herb and start at a lower temp.
I can see the appeal of single hitters for stealth when going out but as concentrates are not really available here I haven't looked into it.

I've learned recently that the EVO can absolutely serve as a one-hitter.

1/4 to 1/2 loaded ELB at 3:00-5:00, drawing fast and hard extracts the goodies in one hit.

1/2 to 3/4 loaded ELB at 11:00-2:00 gets extracted in a good 5-6 hit session.

The EVO is so damn versatile...

Flower or concentrate.
One hitter or session.
Slow draw, medium draw, fast draw.
Loose pack or tight pack.
Coarse grind, fine grind, no grind (whole nugs).
Dry mouthpiece, hydratube, any water piece.
Upright or inverted.
It works no matter what.

Yeah I also find that a lot of vapes can be either session or one hitter depending on how you load and hit it.

Vapman can be 1-2 big rips or a dozen (maybe more?) decent sized rips

SSV/LSV can be the same

Not many I can think of that can't, only ones that come to mind are things like the solo which is only a one hitter if you pack enough for one hit lol
