It's not your average wooden box with nails in it, nope! Check out this new and quite innovative grinder made by @QB-GON in its own thread here.

Here is a recent painting I did for an Okin box. Thought I would share!

A mushroom is intricate in design, yet relaxed and flowing in form. Nature's art nouveau architect.

@Dan Morrison captures their spirit, whether with paint or wood.

Dan, can't thank you enough for this magical box you created last year -- the recipient of the gift was thrilled! Here's pic I snapped before it left, but Dan, know you have better pics if you wouldn't mind posting a link.

Got a mate to make me up a couple of vape stations. He left them unfinished but does anyone have an idea on what will best bring out the natural beauty of the wood? I am a pretty happy camper though as this exceeded my expectations when I would have been happy with a chunk of pine & some holes drilled in it..

^^ I'd put a finish on that while it's still pristine, before it gets stained with honey oil. (Although it looks like you keep your glass immaculate.)

Two solid coats of beeswax were applied to both stations today & they had not been used before that so no staining :). I never expected him to make both units though but I am glad the holes all fit 14 or 18mm fittings so it is adaptable for the future. It is amazing how good they now look now & yes I am rather anal about keeping my vape gear clean.

Dan ...I just received my Bamboo Okin order and find that I must write because I cannot speak, or hardly breathe... the reason being that I AM TONGUE-TIED, SPEECHLESS, and unable to close my eyes!!! Seeing my Okins in all their custom-crafted glory is one thing; effortlessly holding their perfect weightless balance between the fingers makes them all-the-more GLORIOUS! My Okins do not seem to be conceived of this world, but of another that has evolved all of it's life forms to the highest orders of nature & art combined - OUT OF THIS WORLD and WONDROUSLY OF ANOTHER!!!

As compulsively picky and without compromise as I am about all my custom pieces, rarely am I ever this fulfilled with complete and utter satisfaction as I am with my Okins. Bravo!!! ...and THANK YOU!

Herb gardener...
This peice of timber has been taken from a millhouse that is mentioned in the doomsday book.....so it's a good 1000 years old at least.....

I plant to carbon date this, and produce a dynastash for my tiwoody which is too long now that I have my @phattpiggie stem...

I think I will leave the knarled wormy edge on as the face to add some character.....

Hopefully @phattpiggie can make some stems from this too...

I wonder if anyone would buy these items if I was to begin production????

1000 year old vape anyone?????

Thanks it was the lanolin I was unsure about, did a quick search to see what it actually was but thought I'd wait for an expert opinion before using it. Buttered up my wooden pipe from the pre vapcap days as a practice run, gonna move on to my stash now
