That was basically my whole point.
Someone made the comparison of Milaana vs log/desktop and I basically said there is no comparison. Then people thought I was hating on the Milaana. It seems you can't have an opinion about the Milaana without people thinking you're bashing it?

For the record, IME, the Milaana cannot out perform the logs in my collection. The dry hits are similar but through water it's no contest for me anyway.

Edit: I will be wrong plenty of times in my life and while I don't own a good desktop I really set myself up for this one. If I am wrong then I will stand corrected no worries on my end. Nothing wrong with knowing there is more potential out there, but I find it really hard to believe you can beat this. I don't skirt combustion with the Milaana like in other convection portables. I ride the threshold and I fuck it good!

As was said last night, I could stretch this hit to about 20-30 seconds during the day with good clear lungs and the vapor would be just as dense for the whole ride.

I would love to hear your feedback @nondarb and @Slow Draw McGraw so please let me know what you think.

I think I have a cooler running Milaana since I can preheat for about 7 secs before drawing and then hold for another 7 secs during my draw until I begin feathering the button.

I still get lots of vapor production and once warmed up the button time decreases so I am OK with it for now.....but will take some DMM readings sometime in the future and check my heater output wattage.

If there is a problem.....I hope that RBT would let me exchange or send it in for service through PV since they are so close.

I will keep playing with it for now.....but so far a nice instant on vape for quick on-demand hits

Are you drawing fast? I know you have a lot of vapes and I'm sure you know that draw speed is a huge factor here with the wide open airflow and convection heating. If your drawing really slow and you can hold the button for 7 seconds that's crazy.. I would think yours isn't cold it's defective.. Like if I draw as slow as I can and hold the button for 7 seconds I will burn my whole load and the heater will be glowing red hot. My heater starts to glow after 6 seconds in a dim room. try that test. Cup your hand over the Milaana in a dark room and hold the button with no stem in so you can see the heater. See how long it takes to glow. Mine takes like 5-6 seconds in a dark room.

Mine runs about the same.
My sesh starts with a 10 sec pre heat then install stem continue button press and draw another 10 secs then start pulsing.
Kinda weak in my opinion.
When i used zion cranked it all the way up and featherd button.
Really awesome power and flavor.
My mi takes a little more work to get there.
Once heated it's a beast

I typically pre-heat for 10-12 seconds before hitting through water, 6-8 seconds before dry hits. Once the body is warm those numbers go down a little.

Personally I think its perfect. I've only combusted once, if it ran any hotter I don't think I would like this vape as much.

This is how my original unit was.
Mina is more like, 3 second preheat, and im feathering within 3 seconds of pulling. Both have their advantages though. I think mine glows after 9-10 seconds and I don't think my original would glow in like 15 or 20...I'll do a test though.

Sorry to see you beaten down by the haters. I sure wouldn't let them chase me from praising something I like, but it does get a little exhausting. It really is too bad...

With My Mi, Bam Bam, when I use glass/water, which is most of the time, I hit it until I start to see good vapor (around 5 or 6 sec on a fresh battery) and then back off for a second or two and then press and release based on how thick a hit I want. It is pretty easy with glass to control the hit density. I also tend to rotate Bam Bam as I hit it on the glass to reduce hot spots, but stirring IS necessary for me using this method.

I'm just happy to have a log equiv in my pocket. I sold HI (on the list for a replacement in exotic wood), and I'm quite glad this little beast has the cojones that people continue to compare it to very nice desktop units. Not bad for a single battery portable that fits in a shirt pocket...

It's really funny, but I haven't touched any of the session vapes for quite awhile now. There just isn't a need. And when I do get one out I wind up using Milaana while they heat up, and every now and then forget all about it until it's turned off and cool again.

Anyways, enjoy ;)

Only flower vape I took on the cruise and it served me well! My 18-14mm adapter that fits the mi just came in, but I made due with an Underdog Wong and a piece of tubing while I was on the boat!

The problem with bringing it up in other threads is that you are often doing a comparison and we try to discourage comparisons of vapes in vape specific threads. We've said multiple times that you are free to start a comparison thread in Ask FC or to take it to pm.

Since the moderators are the ones who are, ultimately, saying to stop making comparisons in the threads and to take it to Ask FC, you are criticizing moderator decisions. :cool:

Now... can we please keep this thread (and all of the other vape specific threads) comparison free?

It's a crazy vaped up world all of us are living in. And personally I love what I love. Mother fucking dank ass beautiful buds. People put flame to this believe it or not and get hap hap happy as fuck. Go figure. We people who have seen the light can't quit arguing with each other long enough to enjoy the effects of breathing in wonderful vapor of the goddesses. To be honest only a time or 2 I totally hated a vaping experience. So I guess what I'm saying is some where we've missed the boat on what the sole purpose of our journey. Used to be puff puff pass motha fucka. Now I'm not even sure on that. Peace all.



Edit. I almost forgot. I'm using the mi as a session wonky(oops supposed to say only) style vape now. Go figure. It's exactly what I was looking to get past. But it's what's working wonderes. Biggest issue is the session lasts longer. No rush.

The battery compartment does have a strong smell to it. Does the wood contain any chemicals in it? Can anyone confirm if it is 100% untreated wood?

Why would the wood have chemicals in it? Momma nature doesn't use chemicals, people do.

It is natural wood, bounce5, not flooring material. Part of the reason he doesn't stain or treat it is so you know that, and can treat it if you want to. Mine are still virgin, untreated maple.

However, folks getting stressed and arguing and bitching at each other online are doing it wrong, for fucks sake. Where is @ataxian when we need him to remind us what we are all supposed to be doing here?

And just so this post is relevant, my Mi runs a bit cool I think but absolutely zero issues so far. Got one of the April shipments without recessed glass (clear glue, no intake screen). It just works. And no funny smells anywhere... My favorite way to use it is inverted with OGB's M2M + a j-hook. I stir often, but don't really mind. Not grinding anything these days in practically any vape, just drop in whole chunks and break it up with a poker after a few draws. Mi continues to defend its spot in my rotation:science:

Have you ever tried another all wooden vape like this? I think you could be smelling fresh cut wood, I know some can be stronger than others like my Daisy was but Lily wasn't, some logs do some don't etc, but they all break in eventually. Your Mi is still very new so I'd say power through or take a break for a while maybe now that you broke it in a bit at least. If you are really concerned there is something off the best thing to do is submit the warranty form bc most happy users here don't see this issue in their units. It could be you ofcourse, but it could be the specific unit (neither would surprise me really based on other vapes), if it is a defect that you feel negatively affects the performance maybe you really shouldn't use it and send it in... so those are your options, or sell it here

Yeah ironically Ziggy Sawdust didn't really have it despite his name, but Zenon the Zequel actually did if I recall correctly... needed to be broken in a bit. My beta Milaana was already well broken in since it was RBT's first, while my near production model did have it a bit, took a little while but it is broken in now too. It can take a long time depending on all the variabilties in usage and aforementioned production, like many wooden vapes, which may be the most beautiful vapes of all ;)

I love my Milaana, love RBT for making it, embarrassed if I ever lost patience. Milaana has changed the game, criticize and smell all the shit you want, you cannot make this vape any less awesome.

Simple, elegant, a tad tough to master at first, but once you do, hello THC like never before in 40 years. And, I can hit for seconds or hours or both, with one short stem and almost no product. Battery life is silly. Best taste possible. Glue, how about weed?

Search for issues, other than cosmetics and glass, there isn't any in my book.
