I nearly always use a handheld steam cleaner to clean the ELB, but if they're really caked up, I'll soak them in *ISO ALCOHOL 99.9% and salt to completely clean them. However, I do not use the steamer on the Hydratube, I usually just leave it to soak in a hot water/salt solution, before applying the ISO ALCOHOL and salt, and then shaking vigorously before using a brush to remove debris from the Hydratube.

PS; I always use my steam cleaner for all my S & B stuff (Crafty/Mighty, Volcano and Plenty) As for the Hydratube; I'm using ISO at the moment, but I'm going to try white distilled vinegar next time, as that way works out cheaper!!:sherlock:

Not saying:) Just saying,:2c: Without saying,;)

Peace :leaf:

I use pbw when they are really dirty , other wise it's usually some 91% iso for a quick cleaning . What I do is fill with water and some pbw shake and if my piece fits I'll throw it in the microwave for about 20-30 secs with my pbw in it and it literally comes out sparkling clean.

Which Hydratube would you recommenced for use with soft hash.. not wax -
just normal soft hash + bubble hash?
Vape XhaleTurbine
Vape XhaleHydraBomb
Vape Xhale HydraHoneyComb

I'm leaning towards the HoneyComb as it seems to be the one for higher temps..

Idk too much about concentrates through the Evo but I know my buddy loves the honeycomb. He has the bomb too but his fav is the honeycomb. I also have the bomb and ordered a honeycomb last week. Due to a mix up on my end and VXL end I have a turbine over the weekend until I can ship it back for my honeycomb lol. The turbine pulls nice, and has some restriction compared to the bomb which is nice, but it's very low diffusion, I could tell you more if I could try it but I don't want to dirty up glass that is going back. I just did a water test. I think the bomb is kinda good for all occasions but the honeycomb might be what your looking for, especially for higher temp large hash hits I would think at least.

Looks like you've got a solid cleaning regimen but thought I'd chime in. I use 91% iso for a daily shake followed by hot distilled water. I'm pretty snobby about flavor so I never let it get very dirty. Takes about five minutes. For ELBs and VXNails, they get soaked in little jars of Iso then rinsed. The VXNs get scoured with fine steel wool periodically. I also recommend giving the inside of the male joint on top of the EVO a swabbing fairly frequently so you don't get that brown buildup of vape goo.

Yeah one of my problems I believe is I get a little lazy and let my glass get too dirty. Funny thing is that it just creeps up on ya....like holy shit its been 3 weeks since I cleaned this piece.

I'm pretty ocd about wiping the evo joint too....I bought a large pack of 71% iso medical swabs on amazon and they make it so easy. I usually take one and wrap it around a q-tip and wipe the inside of the joint pretty well. I then use another to wipe down the outside.

One other cleaning question....does it drive anyone else crazy when they can't get that last bit of water out of the bottom of the hydratube base after cleaning and rinsing? It really shouldn't bother me that much but holy shit its like nails on a chalkboard for some reason.

Definitely! I thought it was just me, good to know I'm not alone.

That's the last thing I need is the oven. Knowing me I would smash a tube deep in there and be picking glass out of my Mac and cheese for a month. I can barely keep it together at the sink with my clumsy
Arse. This is my combo just a few minutes ago: bomb greens and FC mod. Just faaantastic!

I can't stand that last drop of water in the hydra tube , I usually take a hairdryer to it and it takes about 2 minutes to dry . Also noticed using concentrate gets my tubes dirty so much quicker than flowers .

I did the hairdryer technique last night....ha! It took a little longer because I was on the cooler setting but it got the job done. Looked really funny though...me standing in the bathroom blowing a hairdryer into my hyrdratube. Theres a joke in there.....fuck I'm really medicated right now. Just had a nice 2 elb evo session.

One huge hit of a full ELB and max temp and results.
Play your own awesome music with this I don't want any © problems.
For some reason on the high temp, the waterpieces whitewall, but the exhales are not so huge.
After a pull like that you shouldn't have any problems.

Digging that green sleeve. Gives the evo like a fitness type of look, kind of like jane Fonda leg warmers

It says max temp, does that mean your unit maxes out at 2 before combustion?

Why the new one though? ^^

Honestly, it happened on a Friday night, due to my condition and how hard it seems to import now (I had to order and declare it for ALS medical purpose- which it is also).
I don't have any other vapes, therefore when it broke, I was really stressed and had to obtain a new one...I didn't realize I can fix mine prior to my order and I didn't know my dear friend would be so kind to loan me his.

The bottom line, the EVO is a good investment, owning another one will always be handy.
I can also sell it if I really feel like it, but this gives me confidence that I don't have now :)

The quarz vape nails are a hefty investement so i'm wondering if anyone here has a Quave Club or similar quality quartz nail to compare the hits to. Thank you

That was one person inhaling and like 8 people exhaling!!!! :whoa:
I exhaled in parts and directly behind camera, so it could look like that lol. Usually I get much more, like 10 large exhales in a row after one inhale, so that's why I was actually kinda disappointed in the exhale on this vid.

With copyright strikes for music...?

It was on max temp. I haven't yet combuste on this EVO, maybe it's possible if I pulled very slowly, but I don't wanna try. Every EVO I had did NOT combust if I hit it hard on max temp. Also, on the vid, the knob position is somehow not visible, but there is a reflection of light that looks like the dial was at noon, it wasn't.

great video @Seek

question: Is it possible / safe to use a hydra tube directly after it has been cleaned/rinsed with water?
I ask, because I usually change the water from my bubblers several times a day and I am afraid that water might belong into the bottom chamber when doing so. Or after I clean it? I won't put a hydra tube with a wet bottom chamber onto my EVO, but I am afraid that it's impossible to NOT get water into that chamber. And that would mean, I have to wait after the cleaning or do I really have to put the tube into the oven?? :D Or is it even safe to put it on top of the EVO with some last drops of water in that chamber??

edit: I am not in the possession of any hydra tubes at the moment, that's why I ask. I use my EVO inverted all the time

edit 2: I know I have asked before, but this is an official statement from vapefiend's website: PLEASE NOTE: Using the Evo inverted is not recommended as it can cause over-heating and may damage the unit.

On the official Vapexhale website you find:
CAUTION: The EVO may be inverted during inhalation. However, do NOT leave the EVO inverted for an extended period of time.

So I am wondering - are the international (EU) units different and are not meant to be inverted at all? I highly doubt that, that's why I use my EVO inverted all the time, without issues so far but I am just wondering?
I simply don't get the idea of that silicone-adapter kit?

If you read through the forum you will find allot of answers . I reccomend it as it has helped me allot. You can invert the evo vapexhale has stated but not for prolonged periods of time . Remove after every draw. It is never smart to mix water and electronics so dry your ht's , shake the water in the over flow chamber out or use a hair dryer to evaporate it. That is what I do, however you can get liquid on the bamboo as some fill with ISO alcohol , shake and rinse to clean it. Be careful not to get liquid in the part of the evo surround the bamboo. The silicone adaptors purpose is to mate it to other glass pieces that are not ht's , this way you don't have to invert it and some glass is made in a way that the ht will not fit inverted , this is when the silicone adaptor comes in handy. I see you edited your post and found some answers out but I will leave this to help other members . Happy 4th , enjoy your Evo's .
