Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

The piece of gauze is pretty much the same thing as the piece of cotton I suggested. I did try the cotton last night just to see if it would work, and it did.....I took a very small wispy piece of cotton and put into bottom, and I could barely, if at all, tell it was there, but it killed any whistle completely.

Quick heads up: I received another hydratube from dhgate (can't help myself!). This time I went for the one from seller "stevenlmz79".

I just wanted to let you all know that it is absolute garbage. The joints are very poor and the 18mm ground glass connection does not fit on the EVO without wobbling from side to side. As such, it lets air in. Please do not waste your money on this when there are others out there that are much better for less money.

I have 5 pieces of china glass and this is by far the worst. I will stick with Yingmin and Sunshine Store from now! Just an FYI.
my yingmin tube I just got yesterday has the joint a bit too far recessed so I have to hold it down to get a proper seal but I messaged him and asked him to make the joints more flat with the bottom in the future and he seemed happy to comply.

You can try attaching an 18mm male - 18 mm female adapter .
Add beeswax or lube to the male part to give it a better seal .
It could be a cheap fix .

Yes it is indeed. But you didn't suggested anything or invented the wheel my friend.
I found to myself my own solution to this problem since 2013...
That's why people should read the thread.
The whistling EVO was/is always a problem since 2013. I've own an EVO since then. Many people in this thread had tried to reach a solution in this matter years ago FYI.
I tried a cotton ball, little bit of cotton, a swab of cotton, Q tip cotton, degumed hemp, cheesecloth, etc etc etc.
IMO medical gauze is the perfect mod for a "whistling EVO".
Enough air restriction to not be felt while drawing, no way you're going to combust because of this mod, and WAY BETTER LOOKING THAN A COTTON BALL, CLOGGING THE INTAKE IMO.
But if you believe your "cotton ball" is the shit, go for it.
Stay vaped my friends.

Not what I meant at all man. I wasn't trying to say the cotton ball was a better idea. Was simply trying to say it was close to the same thing and IT DID KILL THE WHISTLE, as I'm sure your gauze does as well. Sorry you took it that way. Peace.

that wasn't nice man he didn't come at you like that. He just said the cotton ball worked for him, I'm sure your method is great and hopefully it helps people with their loud Evos, Have a fantastic day

Only had some scraps of bud. It filled very very little of the elb. But, man, I got a solid 2-3 rips. This thing is extremely efficient.

Also why is the basket called elb?

And I don't have PBW right now, I just got some rubbing alcohol. I also have baking soda and detergent. Can someone just briefly tell me what one does with these ingredients to clean the glass? Just pour the baking soda right in one end, then followed by something like rubbing alcohol, then shaken up, and washed out. Do this at both ends.

This is how I am thinking of cleaning it. Its time to start putting it off, and learn. I think I would like to clean it frequently.

Elb is easy load bowl. And to clean just use the Iso alcohol alone. And shake it around: unless your piece is like super dirty this should work. If there's some stuff stuck behind adding salt can create friction to get rid of it, well adding salt makes the whole process a lot faster. Especially sea salt. Don't see a need for baking soda.

See, I am a bit more inclined to spend the $ for that hydra base than The other tubes. At least it stays more or less fixated to the table, less chance of breakage

Okay thanks. And just leave the elbs in a bowl of iso and salt. Hmmmmm, take a monster hit at 12 and music is so dope. More dope.

Someone was saying perhaps a new EVo is coming out, but didn't this version come out in 2015?

Seibo has said in interviews that a portable is coming in 2016/2017 so probably Christmas. A new Evo wouldn't surprise me with it. I'm guessing it would work pretty similarly, the air path could change? And of course I think he would make it portable, at least to a point. Like maybe it would plug in and then you could unplug and pass it around for like 1 hour. Idk that's what I see coming; but the new Evo wouldn't be the same price as this unit. And also this unit won't just become inferior. The newest version of the Evo did come out in 2015 and it is still at the top of its market. Out doing its competitors.. So anything new wouldn't just blow it away; that's not usually how these things work.. Like S&B came out with new vapes and probably will make more soon, but the volcano is still used and loved. One way to look at it as well is to look at the price of the Evo when it first came out, compared to now, and then imagine how expensive a new improved Evo could be compared to this one.. I don't think it's time to wait and get the "new Evo" when the only thing that VXL has comfirmed is a portable by next year. If anyone has more info about this new Evo please share :)

The hydrabase is back! Get it while you can guys!! I got mine the second day it was listed last time and it sold out that night. That would be tonight this time so get it while it's hot. 50$ more than a HT and it's my favorite vape accesorie.
Cheers

So, in the process of moving I left my Evo power cable in the old apartment. :bang:
I've seen some talk in this thread about an alternative on amazon, that's cheap, smooth and even longer I think. I would love to order that right now, any chance somebody knows what I'm talking about?

I've been having a bitch of a time cleaning my hydrabomb. I had been using the tube and evo for all my medication needs the past two weeks. Noticed I was starting to get some strange uneven roasting on my elbs. Tried the standard mouthpiece and didn't have the problem...which told me that my issue was with my hydratube. The bottom chamber was really caked with resin and I think it was impeding the airflow. Anyways decided to give it a good clean and man was it a pain in the ass using salt and iso...took forever.

Anyways, I thought there has to be an easier way. Recently I bought a little glass lock container and put 2 bottles of grunge off in it to soak smaller pieces likes nails, elbs, arizer stems, and some small bubbler oil rigs that could fit into the container. Works like magic. I let it soak overnight...pull out the glass and wash and it's like new. So I'm thinking of a soaking solution for my larger glass pieces like my hydratube. Grunge off is too expensive to fill a large bucket like I can pick up from Home Depot that seals. I'm thinking maybe going with simple green concentrate for a cheaper solution. I also have pwb but in my experience it makes a resinous mess. I've soaked some dab rigs before in a gallon pwb mixture solution and when I pulled the piece out globs of resin stuck to everything. Just thought I would reach out to other hydratube owners and see what your preferred cleaning method is and thoughts on a soaking medium like simple green. The reason I'm leaning toward the soaking method is because it's easy. No shaking, no alcohol...just soak for 24 hours remove and rinse.

Edit...
@Simplicius i just ordered a new cable for my evo. I went through mono price because I wanted a heavier gauge cord than 18. They have a 25 foot 14 awg cord that is rated for 15 amps. You can go with 16 or 18 but I just wanted a thicker cord that was able to handle more amperage. Anyways here is the monoprice link.

If I had not of just purchased a new vxl hydratube I would be all over this. I just need to make more money...my vaping habit has been hard on the wallet here recently. And that's excluding medication purchases...lol. An evo, new power cord, dhgate tube, vxl tube...all within the past two months. After the vxl tube purchase I promised my wife a 6 month moratorium on vape purchases.

Do VapeXhale have any official distributors?
I'm confused as i've found the cloud evo at massively varying prices:
£269, £349 and £414 ...?

Me too. Finally went ahead & ordered one based on all the positive reviews here.

Ironically, just like when I ordered the last glass piece from VXL it seems like I got the last one as it now shows as sold out!

Looks like you've got a solid cleaning regimen but thought I'd chime in. I use 91% iso for a daily shake followed by hot distilled water. I'm pretty snobby about flavor so I never let it get very dirty. Takes about five minutes. For ELBs and VXNails, they get soaked in little jars of Iso then rinsed. The VXNs get scoured with fine steel wool periodically. I also recommend giving the inside of the male joint on top of the EVO a swabbing fairly frequently so you don't get that brown buildup of vape goo.

Heat your ISO in a cup over hot water. Cold vs warm ISO makes a huge difference

What I have found for cleaning these tubes (and all this great advice was found here on FC mind you) is to use distilled water. I feel it all begins here. Use a drop or 2 of cranberry extract with your water. After a day or 2 of use, hot water rinse out. Once a week or 2, simple green bath or alcohol.
