Discontinued The Herbalizer

Lately I've been experimenting with different loading techniques in my Herbalizer. I think that I've found a much better way for me to use it.

I loosely fill the lower chamber to half way, then tamp it down so that it's fairly compressed. Then I hook up my water pipe and run the herbie at 430. Usually I can finish the load in 2-3 pulls and it's much smoother on my throat. The ABV is light yellow but fully extracted.

--------------------------

Hey, can anyone help me? I noticed when watching my Herbie heat up, through the small hole the bulb seems to not be centered. Can people post pictures of of their Herbie heating up (so you can see the bulb) so I can see if mine is not in the correct position? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!
It should be off center to the left.

Thanks guys! My Herbie is the same, so I guess I'm okay!

420 is a nice stone for me but even with my water tool, and taking smallish tokes, it becomes a challenge to vape a couple bags. too harsh. i want to try the highest temp more but my old lungs don't like it at all.

after a lot of reading, i think i'm going to go for a bubbler type water tool instead of a dry one and see if that might help a bit. if not, i'll just have to settle for lower temps.

i don't want a bong or something that will be hard to draw on and i don't want something that sits on the herbie. i'm looking for something that i can hook a bag up to using either the herbies mouthpiece of the solid valve. i need to re-read about how to adapt the solid valve to the herbie.

any suggestions on a bubbler type pipe??? i'm not good at finding add ons.

i got a supposedly good sativa and just didn't like it at 365 like the other sativa dominant genetics i've tried. i accidently did a couple bags at 420 and i like the high a lot. like many of you said, you just have to experiment with temps and some genetics need a different temp than others.

i'm going to go to a new pot store tomorrow and get a few 8ths to see what kind of quality they have. it's like trying a new restaurant. :)

It's not your old lungs, they're probably more than okay. The problem is that the compounds released at those higher temps cause throat irritation. I can vape all day at 390 but as soon as I try 430 I start coughing.

Some Sativas require high heat in order to get their full effect. Some release all their goods a low temps.

I've found that Green Crack is one of those strains that requires high temps to get the head high. Anything below 430 feels empty and doesn't have near the effect.

so you think my throat will be irritated even with a good water pipe/bubbler? i get it. i'm not happy about it but i get it. :)

green crack was the genetic i was talking about!

Are you firm on using a bag + bubbler?
IMO, when adding a bubbler which will moisturize the vapor, a bag is totally unnecessary .

Would a @Ratchett Song (silicone adpater) + hose like the pictured MFLB water whip + cheap bubbler fit your needs? Picture is of an expensive real Mobius but many cheap Chinese versions out there

Herbie%20MFLB%20Ion.jpg

this gives an incredibly smooth moisturized vapor quality and actually is much easier on the lungs with warm or hot water in the bubbler as that gives max moisture added. With this, even 445 F actually feels good on the throat and lungs.

EDIT: my experience is way different then @stressed as 445 is really easy on my lungs/throat with warm water in a bubbler or hydratube. All my loads are finished in herbie at 445 with water and they are smooth

i never thought of not using the bags. i used to hate using a whip due to going through a bong or having sore throats from the heat. but i'll give it a try.

i have that adapter and that water pipe looks about the size i was thinking of. i'll see if i can find one of those. if nothing else, i'll have another bubbler for when the electricity goes out. :)

I think that a bubbler/water pipe would help a lot for smoothness, it certainly will help with higher temps and vapourizing over all. Bags are great but they can be very dry. Don't expect water to 100% reduce discomfort but it should greatly ease the harshness.

@Winegums is right. I have no idea why they can't all use the same number.

I use this to connect the whip to the bubbler.

The Herbie whip is the best out there for adding and removing adapters!

Came to read about grinders; fucked combustion
My Herbalizer arrived yesterday. Our friendship got off to a slow start, which probably means I will not bother producing a video of my first time using. As stupid as I felt at first, though, it didn't take long for me to figure out how to use my new toy.

I had never used a bag vape before yesterday. Until recently, in fact, I had no interest in bag vapes. However, having been weakened by two serious injuries (gruesomely broken right femur, followed by second-degree burns on my right leg, buttock, and penis), on top of progressive multiple sclerosis, I pretty much had no choice but to get a bag vape. It's just becoming too difficult and uncomfortable for me to use other types of vapes.

(Yes, I had a second-degree burn on my penis. Thankfully my dick burn was smaller and less intense than the other burned areas.)

Anyway, I spent last evening baked; relieved. It was the first time I've been truly baked in quite a while (well over a year), and I had pretty much given up hope that I'd ever be truly baked again.

The whole process has suddenly become so much more relaxing for me than it had been. I mean, all I have to do is fill a bag and take it to the couch with me. Or outside if I want. I can now vape in comfort. That's priceless.

Ouch!

Bags are like the bongs of the vapour world and I love them for it.

RE STEAMROLLER: @turk

The SteamRoller is certainly a fine piece but I wanted to point out a similar option, with very similar results BUT this option costs a LOT less :)
Do you happen to have something like my OGB mouthpiece to compare to??

Like I said, nothing negative about the steam roller as it certainly "rolls out your steam" ;)

I often use my @Oregonglassblower OGB long glass mouthpiece with Herbie with great results! It is a long glass airpath for the vapor to cool and mellow. It's like a junior version of the SteamRoller , with less volume and less diffusion.
Herbie%20%20OGB%20glass%20mp.jpg

SteamRoller does provide a slightly "smoother" vape (lower temp and more diffusion from my OGB).
OGB provides slightly better/ more true taste as it has less diffusion and condensation.
OGB is much easier to store and COSTS WAY LESS.
OGB is more ergonomic as the SteamRoller makes me lean over my vape station, while the OGB brings the mouthpiece to me/ much more comfortable and better ergos

It's similar, but different than the SteamRoller, but with some advantages --depending what one is looking for/ what your personal vape priorities are..

As I said, SRoller is also a sweet setup

>>>> I normally never use this dry mp this for temps over 420 F but for science---I just did boost to full 445 F.
Results: vapor was still very very nice with good taste and no harshness. Note: about a minute later I suddenly went, "my throat is really dry"......aha--- my usual Hydratube at 445 F is "moisturized vapor" so I don't get the dry throat issue :)

Nice cheaper alternative but the steamroller is boss. Can vouch its a boss accessory. Have knocked it over twice..forsure I thought it was a goner...but it survived without a scratch.its a thick dildo imo 2 thumbs up
