I need some of those screens forsure. I notice that when I can get some more airflow through my piece and through the cap with the carb still closed, it hits harder and smoother. idk how to explain this but sometimes the air just flows a little more than others.. Those screens seem legit anyone have a link? Thanks :tup:

I was using ss mesh cut to size and it was working fine, but the Ti screens are just so much easier to deal with. Airflow is just about perfect for me. Big thanks to whoever it was that suggested these in the first place.

Hey Guys, been reading this thread for a while and like what Ive seen and read. Quick question - am thinking of ordering an OG Vapcap for an overseas trip I will take on 1st August. If I order now is it likely to ship immediately or should I expect a delay. Im in Asia too so would be international shipping. Many thanks :)

You should be fine as it took me about 3 weeks to get to Oz from placing my 4/20 order. Maybe send a enquiry to VapCap as to stock levels?

Holy shit! I was sitting there thinking I need to clean my UD NonG's & decided to run a small clump of hemp fiber through one a few times. After being folded over a few times & run through the NonG I ended up with a saturated piece that fit perfectly in my Ti VapCap.

I only did this as a nightcap so I did not have to grind more bud. Clouds as thick as I have received from a good serve of shatter & I genuinely feel 10 x more stoned than I did 20 minutes ago. This was not my finest hour but it may have been my finest VapCap hour as it is just another feather in the cap of the mighty VapCap.

I love the taste and effect with the hemp fiber, but I get a sore throat and cough afterwards about 50% of the time I use it. I'm starting to think I have a slight allergy or something.

My favorite way so far is to put a chunk or 2 in, stick some wax to another chunk and then make a sandwich. Still going to try the w9 ceramic donut wicks.

I've had great success with both the hemp and herb sandwich.
It's a shame we can't get the W9 doughnuts here in the UK, as I'm betting they would be great.
Imagine laying a doughnut on a piece of parchment, placing/sprinkling your concentrate on it, then folding the parchment around the loaded doughnut allowing the heat of your hand to melt the goodies into the ceramic.
A small collection of these in the DynastasherER's silicone pot would make the handling of these, and titration of dose a piece of cake.
I bet the digger outer would be perfect for this.
No mess, no fuss.

Trying to get the W9 ceramic donut wick or the herc grade 2 ti coil to put in vap cap and maybe wrap/seperate with ti screen was the idea.

But i started pricing it out and damn its gonna be not so cheep for all that.

Puffitup is out of the w9 donuts.
W9 tech site is very expensive 10$ a coil for the grade 2 herc coil, 13ish for the 5 pack donuts but then charges 7.50 shipping for just 1 item.

I was going yo buy 3 herc coil and the ceramic donuts but but that is like a 50$ purchase pretty pricey.

Then i was looking for grade 2 ti screen auqa labs has it but for 10$ a screen + shipping just makes it seem not worth it.

So any ideas where to source this stuff would be helpful. Or if enough of us are interested maybe we can find some group buy offer?

Hercules coils are way too big, they don't fit. w9 ceramic wicks work really well but it's easy to burn a lot of oil when using them if you're not careful. You can stack 3, I've found using 1-2 is ideal. Once the oil heats up, it tends to want to leave the ceramic disks which can lead to leaking. So stacking screens or wrapping with screen is recommended. The more you add = more heat needed.

Really the herc coils too big? Says they are 4mm Online i thought. But then again i never used the herc or any w9 product or acessories. Or any portable dab tool at all, still using a rig and nail.
But it seems like the general consensus is stack shit in there and layer screen or whatever to make the oil run the gauntlet per say. I was hoping to make one of my vap caps my porta-dab tool, i guess ill just try the hemp fiber for now.

Quick size comparison. (Hemp was loaded in the bowl, so just set one on top) Hemp fiber is the way to go now that it's so hot outside. Titanium screen/ceramic tastes better in my opinion, but a lot less user friendly.

The lighter has issues but nothing I'm not able to address, and it is still being used with the wind shield tube I made.
The Clipper tin is at, a total guess, a third full. I never wanted something to run out as much as I do this tin.
I use 3-4g per week maybe less but never more. Getting a reliable 2 days vaping from one fill. One and a bit days with out the shield.

Did you machine that windscreen or is it an off the shelf part? I'm really interested for outdoor VC applications.

@Sand It's one of these $2 torches, the LED's on a small circuit board are a tight fit and take some pushing out.
I made a template out of masking tape and stuck it around the remaining tube. Cut and filed into shape. It's not as pretty as it could have been and it gets hot but only as hot as the lighter and it's thin enough to cool down quick, quicker than the metal lighter body.
Also had to remove the cap on the lighter but it was a pin that pushed out so again not that difficult.
If I could find a reliable lighter that enough people rated I would happily make some more and get someone with 3D printing knowledge, @Ratchett, to make up some silicon sleeve so the heat of the aluminum tube wasn't an issue.
There are some many different lighters and personal choice, 1,2, or 3 jet, make it a difficult to work out which would be a good starting point. PM me if you want any help working one out for your lighter.

A larger Dynastash with a heating element and 18650 battery. Seriously, this would be the most epic kit. Elegant, compact and quiet.

Edit: super bonus points if the heater is activated by inserting the VC/OV

You could get a Chinese company to build a ceramic tube heater to fit the Dynavap caps. I've thought about trying it, but I didn't know how to estimate the demand to see if I'll ever meet the MOQ. Last thing I need is 999 spare heaters sitting around my tiny apartment. I can try to request some product samples to see what I can come up with. I'll look at powering it with a small e-cig mod.

What if you cut 1 side of the herc coil and made a spiral or spring, that might work well. I dont know why i want this to work so well, i guess because i like to use G2 ti.

I haven't been able to successfully cut and form one yet, no. It tends to kind of shred apart so I was going to cut one loose, then press fit it inside the bowl. It just hasn't seemed worth it because of the taste of SS. I really like the titanium screens. I think cutting/folding them would be the ideal solution honestly.

I thought about this as well, so far I haven't tried it. I also bought a bunch of thin'ish grade 2 titanium wire and I was going to basically make a, "coil" to fit.. When I get time I'll try it and let you know how it goes.

Having a ton of experience with vaping, I think I can estimate the temps a bit.. it can click really really low. Like I can set it in my EVO and let the tip just get heated by the evo heating element. If I just let it click the tip has only been heated and I will get almost nothing.. Like the lowest temp possible. When I light it lower down near the V in Dynavap, I get a huge hit and depending on how long after the click I light and exactly how far down it will be lower or higher temps..

Like i can bet that I'm going from around 380-410 on those hits and 410 is only when I'm cashing it in one heat cycle I bet. My abv comes out dark sometimes but is usually golen brown.. If it gets a little dark and I can assume I went even higher but that's a rare occasion now. A temp chart could be cool...
