Brexit - The Great British EU Dilema

Ive been reading this thread and watching all this unfold and really don't feel one way or the next. This is my thoughts on life I guess.
A persons feelings and beliefs are just that. They shouldn't have to say sorry or ask for forgiveness just because they have a different view point then the next guy or gal. Get enough people who feel the same way and the majority wins. The people that don't win get to set back and say I told you so and cuss and point fingers anytime things go bad.This is democracy dummied down. But very truthful in my eyes.


I don't think people can or should get mad at the ones who voted one way or the other. I do think it's ok to get pissed at the ones who voted without knowing or taking the time to figure shit out for themselves. That's just fucked up no matter how you look at it.

Of course I am talking about those who live in UK. Do you honestly think we should start providing FREE NHS to the entire European continent? I take it you have never needed medical treatment outside of UK?

Fortunately i have not needed medical attention outside of UK but that is no good reason to not give it to people who need it. Lead by example my friend.

I believe that free healthcare and education is a human right. I have no problem with people (call them immigrants if you will) coming here and using our services .. good for them.

The problem is not them using our healthcare it is that we put all our money in rich peoples pockets and not into healthcare and education. There is PLENTY to go around.

The day everyone is treated the same where ever they go, perhaps open door policies can be maintained. Until then you are living in cloud cuckoo land. You also clearly do not understand the definition of xenophobic.

If you advocate free speech then it is everyones right to say what they think, even if they are mad at someone else, it's usually called a discussion or a debate unless someone starts shouting.

As for the £350m, just like the covert racism from ukip, no one on the leave side wants to have anything to do with what they created, so they distanced themselves from the lie(s), yet there were clearly a lot of people who believed the figures, just like they believed immigration would fall.

As i said before my mother always told me to lead by example. Voting leave was a step backwards from an open door world where people are free to roam wherever they want.

What if you were born into some war torn shit hole? Wouldn't you want to leave too?

Im so sick of us arming the world blowing the shit out of it whilst making fuckloads of money, stealing their oil and resources then telling their refugess to fuck off and find there own place to live.

No-one is stopping anyone traveling the world (well some countries might try to stop you).

I do not blame anyone wanting to better themselves, and the UK is an attractive option to many, but we are a small Island and cannot sustain the current growth rate.

I've encountered racism myself as i'm mixed race.. but my family has been here for decades.
My grandfather was here, helping during the war until Britain turned on him (and others) and forcibly removed them after, leaving my grandmother struggling and my mother fatherless..

Which is why I have taken so much time on this thread to try to explain. It's too easy to misconstrue someones intentions, or take what they say out of context.

I was making the statement, with regard to those in the remain camp that think we (or at least I) am European and that's a reason to vote to stay, I am not European, I am English, and that wouldn't ever be a reason to stay in the EU anyway.

A bad egg is a bad egg, regardless of the nationality of the hen that laid it and the EU is a bad egg in my opinion.

Junker and his cronies refused to negotiate key areas that would have allowed me to vote to remain.

Our country is being overwhelmed in an unsustainable manner and threatening the very things that I hold dear about my country.

I felt the only way to protect them was to leave the EU. I don't know if it was the right decision to achieve this, but I felt the EU left me no option, this has no bearing on my attitude towards foreigners, as I have already mentioned, I have a half Polish son, I also have an adopted Asian family.

So anyone who calls me a xenophobe doesn't know me, doesn't understand its meaning nor anything I have written.

As others have stated, it's shocking and upsetting that it appears that xenophobia is rearing its ugly head, and it is being brandished about as though anyone who voted to leave is a racist.

On top of this we have Trump talking about building a wall to keep Mexicans out and banning all Muslims from entering USA. Not sure how they can police that, is there a faith detector machine that's been invented?

I mean the dick head stood in Scotland and made the most ridiculous comment regarding Brexit stating that they had 'taken back their country' - err, no they haven't , that's what the Scottish in-out referendum was all about, he clearly hasn't got the first clue about UK politics or even what countries make up the UK or the fact that Scotland's majority voted to remain in the EU.

So if the person who looks like they are about to become the head of the most powerful country in the world, doesn't have a fucking clue about the UK, what hope does anyone else.

huh , what, they voted to remain in UK and UK voted to leave EU, I take it you do not understand UK democracy, which is fine, I shall try to explain...

They knew an EU referendum was going to be held at the time they voted to remain in UK and if they voted to remain in UK there was a chance that the UK could leave the EU.

This is what is causing the problem and divide in our country currently. People making opinion without actually having the facts to hand or actually understanding how a democratic vote works.

It was like that women I saw on the John Oliver program, "I voted to leave but I wanted to remain, I didn't think leave would win.

Really, are you freaking serious!

Tories are in power and Boris is likely to become PM, do I want this 'No', did I vote for this 'No', do I have to suck it up, 'Yes', that's democracy!
