Great Scott!
@peaceonearth Holy smokes or vapor lol, those stems look really nice in the pics paired with the UD what a great combo! Thanks for letting me know what happened to those pieces, glad you are enjoying them!

Big props out to @underdog and @underdogette for all they do, keep it up y'all best wishes, headed you guys way close, be in New Mexico Nevada this week, big road trip planned!

ED I've been a long time admirer of your work, but never owned anything. After seeing that, I need a stem like that that doubles as a WONG (18mm) or works as a dry stem. That is truly amazing. I don't know why I can't PM you directly right now. Can you PM me so we can make something like this happen? That is so good. IMO you guys gotta partner up and offer some custom stems for the underdog keep stuff like this in stock on the UD site or your site whatever, but that is SO nice with the UD. Let me buy one!

...Nice.:) I'm guessing that is also Nylon like the Nongs? Have you considered a wooden version? They could be lathed much like the UD.

Yeah they're nylon, I've considered (and made) a few wood ones but they require a lot more labor (sanding, sanding and more sanding) and we end up with a $25 tool instead of a $5 tool.

Thanks dude, hope you have a great trip! If you make it all the way to NorCal let me know and we'll see if we can meet up. When you get back we need to talk again about having you make and stock stems for UDs on your site.. I'm sure there's plenty demand for them.

Yeah they're super nice huh? I'm working on getting them as a regularly stocked item on Ed's site.

Hey Dogs, just dropping in to say hi real quick before we head out in the morning.. hope you all have a good holiday weekend and find a way to stay cool (if you're in the west). We're going to do our best to accomplish both!

I was organizing some of the wood stock in the shop today and I think some of the Gum Streaked Cherry and Ambrosia Sycamore will be ready (ie dry enough) to make it into the Birthday Special that's coming up. That's cool because I've been looking forward to seeing how both of those come out.. fingers crossed!

Sounds like my kinda vacation. I hope you both enjoy it!

Thanks Nick, we'll do our best!

Have a fantastic time @underdogette and underdog!!

Thanks Reflections!

I posted this last night in the VapCap thread but it is relevant for UD. My NonG was clean & my clock was cleaned after vaping it.

Holy shit! I was sitting there thinking I need to clean my UD NonG's & decided to run a small clump of hemp fiber through one. After being folded over a few times & run through the NonG I ended up with a saturated piece that fit perfectly in my Ti VapCap.

Ohhhh yeah. I soaked my Nongs in ethanol last time because I only have non organic cotton handy and I really needed to clean 'em, but I sure missed the giant dab like effect you get from vaping the claim. UD + VC = All you need (but you know this, man).

Wow i have been away from this thread too long, so much missed info to catch up on. I am still absolutely loving my air core. I just keep coming back to it, i keep buying portables trying to find find my preferred vape, but never have wanted or needed a plug in vape after UD.

So those of you that have both which do you like better standard or air? Benifits disadvantages? Im feeling the itch for another dog in my life.

I check this thread pretty frequently, and this talk of reclaim has me needing to know more. I'm positive if I read through this thread (again) I'll find info I'm looking for, but that may take quite a while. For you experts out there, what is the cheapest and or easiest way to reap the benefits of whatever is stuck inside my straws? I would be looking for a method that would be be easy to then utilize in my UD. Cotton ball through the stem with a tiny bit of iso to grab everything off and then after it dries out, vape a piece of (organic?) cotton ball? Tell me of your methods!

I like to wait for it to build up a bit, then I take my ssv stir stick and collect it all up and mix it in with my next few packs. Try it mixed with kief and blast off! Some have used a straw with good results, just heat up your stem or wpa a bit with a few phantom hits if necessary, it comes off pretty easily, let the iso get the rest.

Thats the exact method I used previously . SSV stir sticks are great for the task & always have a few around. Grab a pinch of weed & wipe the stir stick down, ball up that reclaim & exclaim.......

@indicandescent you can either scrape it or use Iso & organic cotton. Degummed hemp fiber is the best though & I linked some for sale above.

Getting ready to finally purchase one of these bad boys. Was wonder I my if there are any kind of coupon codes a a I available here that I may have missed. Or should I wait for this birthday sale?
Also, why can I not make selections for a custom vape? Is that something I'd have to send in email?

It may be somewhere several pages back, but I feel like the UD team had answered some inquiries about sale stuff and what they were thinking of including in upcoming sales. Perhaps when they are back from vacation they can advise as to whether custom dogs will be included in their next sale so that you can decide if it is worth the wait.

Hey all--I recently received my first dog and have to say it's a lovely thing to behold.

I love it and I’m sure we will dial it in perfectly in due time!

It is running on the warm side for our uses. We anticipated that so we picked up a dimmer. With the dimmer the dog seems to either run full out or pretty much off. Put a voltmeter on it and it does slide from 12.3v to about 11.9v, then the next touch drops it right to 0.2v. Does that sound normal?

(I believe I read somewhere that 5v or so is a good range for using the aroma cup so if the dimmer is functioning normally then I guess that won’t happen.)

For non-aroma-cup use, a.k.a. “regular” use, what we seek is low temp. What voltage range should we be looking for to produce about 170-190 degrees C and roast to an even light brown?

Thanks for any help during our journey!

Not sure what stems you are using @dxer but the ones that take the large basket screen run a fair bit cooler than the S/S tipped ones. FWIW my dimmer I marked at 12, 11, 10 & 9v but they can be sensitive.
Hey thanks for the info! We are using the thick glass direct draw stems. Should have mentioned that, thx.

So do you start at 9v and "step up"? Or, when you're going for low temp, what voltage do you use?

Thanks again :)

My squaredog runs pretty hot. I usually run it around 10.5-10.8 volts with good results. Try starting at 10 and see what you get. It's always fun to experiment. :science:
