Verdamper vaporizer

I guess you have managed that by now, but here's how I do it: I unscrew the two wires that are attached to the heating coil from the transformer (which I unscrew from the wooden plate it's on) and draw the red cable out of the glass tube. So after I remove the silicone ring from the top of the tube, I just lift the heating coil out of the inner tube, when they are still attached to the red cable. The silicon ring clamps the two cables into the two tiny notches on top of the large tube, and once the ring is off, the two cables are loose. This way I don't have to solder anything.

Btw: After more than 10 years of use, De Verdamper is still one of the most impressive vaporizers I know. It can be used by dozens of people, for hours, without hassle, without noise, without learning curve what-so-ever. It's not the dinosaur among vaporizers, it's friggin' Godzilla!

why does this verdamper dinosaurus not get the love it deserves ?
to big ?
to EU ?

I love the Verdamper, especially in its zone---- at Amsterdam coffee shops like La Tertulia. Great great piece for enjoying a fine vape in a fine coffee shop in a fine city on a fine day. You can even call ahead 15 minutes before arriving for them to get the big VerD cranked up and ready to vape.

At home, with the size and complexity and heat-up time, not the Verdampers strong suit.

If I had a bigger vape station I'd consider it like #10 on my list of vapes to own.

Maybe if they did a smaller, junior version, with a halogen bulb heat source for instant heat, then it would be much more "home friendly" IMO

i think about selling it.

it just does not get the usage it deserves.
always a hassle to store it away.
i have a small apartement and the 'damper looks like some crystal meth lab gear.
nothing your mother in law would like to see.

but when i use it i can't justify seeling it.
it's just so anmajestetic object.

it eats herb like crazy but flavour is top notch although filtred through 750ml of water

Ye definitely need to own one someday but im in a small flat too .. theres no way i could have one out in use. It is such a powerhouse with that mega bowl!

You ever try it dry .. no water? Bet it tastes incredible

Sadly the shop is now defunct and it seems will remain so indefinitely.
:ugh:
End of an era for me personally...
I just did a quick check and It seems everywhere is out of stock, except small models.
So it seems, the end of manufacture?! Yes, a sorry day!:disgust:

But hey, there are plenty of excellent vapes out there now. The new Herborizer Ti looks like a much better device anyway.
If you hold on to your Dampers, you may be able to sell as antiquies quite soon!:)

Most of all, I really hope Evert is okay and that health troubles are not the cause of the ebd of manufacturing.

So I've had my Verdamper for a little over two years now. It has been an amazing vaporizer, but VERY fragile. I had broken the bottle a while back and ordered a replacement which just recently came in...

One thing I wanted to mention was that the new bottle weighs much less than the original bottle weighed!!! It is the large deluxe bottle with the two connections and the original weighs 1130 grams while the replacement only weighs 755 grams! It is much less robust and I hope this doesn't mean these are being made less sturdy than the original -which felt quite hefty in the hand as opposed to the new one which feels much lighter.

Hi - Could anyone point me to a retailer who can ship a Verdamper Reizer to the USA? Evert seems to be the only one I can find online who will ship to the US, but I've been having trouble completing the transaction with him. Also open to purchasing one used. Thanks!

Yes, I have. Unless I'm missing something obvious it doesn't appear Evert has an online store anymore (maybe due to his ended relationship with Hans?), and the Reizer/travel model seems more difficult to track down online than the standard models.

On second thought...

The replacement bottle, while it appears to be thinner and is definitely lighter, is just as nicely crafted as the original. The fit and finish is just as good as it always was. All the pieces fit flush and I had forgotten how gorgeous one of the units is assembled!

Viva Verdamper!

Just got my Verdamper today, but afraid I’m having voltage issues or something as I’m not getting any vapor. I believe I connected everything properly. I am using just a standard universal outlet adapter (I’m in the US). The heater is heating up, but my guess is it somehow isn’t hot enough. Do I need a voltage adapter? Any others had similar issue? Suggestions?
