One of my favorite things to do is to present products to people who have little to no experience with them. I had the privilege of rolling out some glass for our friend @His_Highness after he bought his Evo with just the dry tube, so we were testing a lot of stuff that was new to him.

I brought Steven's shower perc HT, the FC-MOD, the VXL HydraBase and the VXl Inline HT. I didn't tell him what any of them were or how much they cost, and he had never seen any of them, so it was a 'blind' test, so to speak. I wanted us to compare them while having our wits about us, so we loaded up the Evo and hit every piece and every combination with the vape off. We got a great feel for drag and purr/chug on all the combos!

At the end of the comparisons it became obvious @His_Highness has a taste for the good stuff, because he instantly preferred the VXL pieces paired together. And who wouldn't? It's one of my favorite pairings as well. So we spent the rest of the session hitting that combo (VXL Hydrabase with the VXL Inline HT) and had a blast!

It was a lot of fun and I thought I'd share the testing with you guys...

Just got my dhgate hydra Bomb , not bad at all , came with stand , def needs the can raised a bit as the water hits the mp tube on inhale but with a drop less water it's not so bad. More testing to come this weekend. I did not really get a good chance to hit yet .

Hahaha that's funny, of course he loved that hydrabase!! That has become my new piece for every vape!! It is a good sized can but still milks with vapor so easily, it's gotta be the open airflow or something. That with my hydrabomb on top is so nice, completely open and I can milk it with my vapcaps and my milaana no problem. The Evo is the best way to do it though ;)

I can't find anything on the hydra base. Any idea what kind of $ one costs? And the idea is that it just gives you a much bigger chamber?

FuckCombustion team,

I just ordered some new ELBs, all of them seem to fit really loose in my EVO. Anyone experienced thie problem? It's bad enough that I can't turn the vape upside down without risking it falling out.

Anyone got a remedy? Or is this a "contact VapeXhale" type thing?

Same thing happened to me. All were so loose the fell out when inverted and would move up when inhaling. I emailed vxl and they told me to give the elbs a pinch....just enough to where it bulges out on the side slightly. This lets it sit tighter in the bamboo. Worked for me and hasn't seemed to effect performance. Vxl did say they were working with the manufacturer on getting the specs ironed out. They plan on eventually having the old size elbs. Guess they are still sending out the loose ones. But yeah just give a pinch and that should fix it.

...........................................

VXL pulled info on the hydra base as it sold out :(
Wish they'd leave it there to see.

I believe it was $199 but others can correct me---
It just lets you stack two water pieces , to double up. HT on top of hydra base
Kind of like two batteries in series.

Thanks man! I did just that and it's fitting just fine now.

It never ceases to amaze me how little I knew about my favorite plant and the different methods for enjoying it. I have 41 years of experience but it wasn’t until I found FC and @stickstones that I realized it was the same year of experience 40 times. Anyway….just wanted to thank Sticks and FC in general for re-exciting me about my favorite plant. I’m not sure who has more fun, me learning about all these vapes and accessories or Sticks when he is explaining them.

About the glass….I’m really not a glass fanatic or knowledgeable at all. I’ve read a bunch on them and have heard folks complain about percs being misaligned or other imperfections…the only imperfections I’d be able to comment on are the ones my wife tells me I have. Sticks set me up with so many combinations so quickly that it became a blur each time a new config was tested. So simply based on which had a better draw and naturally felt better to me, I had stopped to say I liked a piece and they turned out to be the VXL units. After the draw test, when I knew which glass was which, I visually inspected them and the VXL pieces did stand out.

While I’m in review mode…when I had asked Sticks about his recommendation on a desktop he suggested the EVO. I read the entire EVO thread before making the purchase. Took me weeks and I was a little nervous about the earlier posts. I saw quite a few posts asking if ‘things were better’. In case there are others out there wondering … all I can tell you is what I’ve experienced. I’ve had no problems and couldn’t be happier. The unit is a game changer for me.

Unboxing: Prior to the purchase I tried the VXL on-line chat once and again after ordering. Both times the help received was fast, personable and spot on. I ordered on Sunday and got the unit on Friday. When the EVO arrived the packaging was bomb proof. The EVO box itself was very nice looking. Inside the box was additional bomb proofing of each piece in a very nice black spongy material. The contents included the EVO, 12 foot excellent quality electrical cord, a glass nail, 2 ELBs, the standard mouthpiece in bubble wrap, and instructions.

Addressing some of the concerns I had seen in past threads:
- The ELBs fit perfectly and were in perfect condition.
- The electrical cord was flexible and 12 feet long. It fit the EVO perfectly and was not too tight or too loose.
- The black heat sleeve did have a smell. It wasn’t bad and was gone in about 48 hours.
- I did one initial burn in of 30 minutes at max temp. Halfway through I inverted the unit and left it for 5 minutes looking for any smells. I experienced no smells or off-gassing at any point in the 30 minutes.
- I blew into the bamboo after the unit had been on for the 30 minute max temp burn in and cooled off. There were no air leaks.
- The unit temps seem consistent with 12 o’clock being the right default notch/starting point and not getting near combustion till after 3 o’clock…. although I should point out that I haven’t ever combusted. Just got more black ABV than I’d like at 3. No ash at any point.
- The unit has run perfectly. I haven’t had even a hint of anything glitchy.

I couldn’t be more stoked about the unit and its versatility.

This post echoes my sentiments towards the wonderful cloud evo. I can comfortably say this is one of the best purchases I've made in a long long time. I truly love this device. Not to mention this community and everything I've learned. Time to get back to some elbs...it's a lazy Saturday around here after a long week. Happy weekend fellow evo enthusiasts!

Does anyone have the Symbiartic hydratube, that could attest to their diffusion/efficiency? Considering one. Already have a Hydrabomb tube. $500 is a lot.

I've found that packing the material tighter reduces the whistling significantly.

I got the HydraHoneycomb HT with my EVO originally and like it and all the diffusion it provides, but it's fairly restrictive when it comes to airflow. I tend to like this when it comes to EVO dabs so I still use it for that. In contrast, the Symbiartic Chandelier has become my daily driver for flower because it has none of that restriction and provides, IMO, an even better balance between smooth hits and flavor. The airflow is so good and unrestricted, in fact, that I can't get a whistle on it when I try. It was a lot to spend for a specialized piece of glass, but I thought it was very cool and am happy with the purchase despite that high price tag.

Here's a pic, it holds a hydratube on top and has completely open air flow, it also seems to condense vapor in a way that makes it very visually pleasing because this thing is bigger than like a fc-187 for example but milks up just as easily.

Considering a egg/Mothership-type rig to connect. Anyone done this?
If you do and it's cool let me know, and for flower, not dabs, I'm sure it's cool with an x nail. I just don't like concentrates the same as flower. They don't give me the same relief and also raise my tolerance all around when I consume them daily.

Hola FC:
Thanks @VapeFiend.com for setting my friend so fast on his EVO.
It took one day I believe of shipping.
My friend is blown out of his mind how cool the EVO is. I gave him plenty of advice before. And I teased him via Skype with my 2xEVOs and he was ready ;)
Another happy vaporist thanks to the EVO team @stonemonkey55
Salud my fellow vaporists and stay vaped...

Hey, guys I recently had to take a break from consuming The erb. As, I am finishing up my final exams. So i have a bit of extra cash lying around. I want to get a new vape. I currently own the mighty and the extreme q.

I plan on buying the vapexhale cloudevo. I just had a couple of question. Instead of using a hydratube can i just invert the cloud evo and connect it to and 18m glass piece. I heard there were some issues when you invert the evo that it emitted a burning plastic smell. Can anyone verify that. Would you recommend buying a hydra tube with a cloud evo or just getting a standard dry mouth piece?

@Thickheavyvape - I recently addressed some of your questions with the link below:

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud-evo.11357/page-507#post-986489

I personally like the standard mouthpiece for flavor more than the bubblers but have recently been schooled on glass (see thread I suggested) and now feel that both wet and dry have a place in the EVO arsenal.

If you want personal advice/service you might want to message @stickstones and see what deals he might be able to find for you. Working with Sticks has worked well for me.

On the lower temps its actually really really efficient. You can get a lot of good draws.

Do you think its cool that i call and complain to vapefiend tomorrow that my box was not wrapped and none of the parts were in wrapper either? Reading your guys unboxing experience, everything was wrapped. I fear, I have been given a used device, and my issue with that is, why was it returned? No issues, I love it. But, also thinking that it's not smart to accept this.

This egg looks okay, might be a test subject: https://www.smokecartel.com/products/sesh-supply-ossa-propellor-perc-faberge-egg-bubbler Was going to hook that up, possibly. Not interested if it'll be worse than the Hydrabomb, though.

Hi @malsanti , please let me know what they told you, if you contacted them. I've got an EVO kit on my way, so excited for now, but admittedly bit worried, the package will arrive unwrapped?

Would like to hear @VapeFiend.com statement. I have heard from a vaposhop customer some months ago, that his EVO package wasn't wrapped shut, too, so maybe it has been delivered this way to Europe and doesn't necessarily mean that it is second hand, i don't know?

Well yesterday, Father's Day. I had a combustion event in my cloud. Somehow some stem got in the bamboo and it went up brighter than a Christmas tree. Smoke taste. Super nasty. Had to do a thorough clean of the unit and the Hydratube. After cleaning, more debris still in tube. Another combustion event. After a few rips of it tasting like smoke, everything back to normal. Thank God. Got real nervous there for a while.

This is normal. I have all kinds of devices, Wonderful enail with SiC dish for low temp dabbing, divine tribe atty, I buy pretty much every concentrate I can get (except the VB2) and it's hard to beat the Evo for concentrate flavor!
I usually dab at 12 o clock. I put 1 dab worth in and get 2 hits, the first is the most flavor I get out of my concentrates, even a little better than the enail unless it's turned way down. Then the second hit, it is HUGE but a lot of the terps were gone in the first hit. And by the end of the second hit it's just the crud that tastes bad. I let the rest burn off, 3 o'clock seems to clean mine back to clear after an hour.
The enail does the same thing but you get the entire 2 hits in 1, from the terpy first hit to the bigger, but less tasty second hit. The enail and Liger just gives you both rolled into one. I like to use both but the Enail is ALWAYS on at my house lol

So VapeXnails are actually not 50% more efficient as speculated? They just deliver the dab differently?

I called today and according to vapefiend this is how all the UK, and perhaps EU ones are sent to them. If no one here can contradict that with their experience, no reason to doubt him, I suppose.

Let me know how you receive yours.
