Discontinued Elevape SV

Hi Everyone,

It's been a long time coming but I am happy to announce the new Elevape Smart 2.0 is going into it's first full production run. Elevape 2.0 will provide all the features of the original Smart, the same modular design, incomparable efficiency and that wonderful taste you've come to expect. The changes in 2.0 are subtle yet very important. Our updated software will provide much more precise temperature controls, more efficient battery usage, a new user interface with self testing and much more. Our mechanical improvements, including improved air-flow paths, will act to enhance your overall experience.

So I wanted to tell you about the introduction and that, although most of the first production run is already spoken for, we are setting aside a limited quantity that will be available directly to our friends at FC. We are taking pre-orders and anticipate shipping the Elevape 2.0 before July 30. We do need to hear from you soon so please email me at joe@ipuffusa.com for more details.

Awesome an improved elevape!? Seems like this year is the year that awesome convection portables are finally coming around. Not only portable convection, but instant convection!? love convection but one thing i love more, instant convection. Cant wait to try one of these things.

Yep, so it seems. Every bit as hansom as the two I have.

I believe the changes (power management and vapor path changes) are all 'under the hood'.

I'm in. This little black box is the best kept secret of vapes. Small, stealthy and smooooooth! Pure convection, miraculously cool. Self-contained. No smell. No unnecessary bells and whistles, just solid engineering. Load and draw, that's it. Half the size of my Milaana, which I do love, but in a different way. This one I can take anywhere easily.

2.0 can only be even better even though it's the same form factor. Joe says it has a bigger capacity battery and new algorithm as well as higher temps (up to 450 F).

Not to mention that Joe is one of the most helpful, accessible manufacturers I've ever dealt with. They don't spend their R&D $ on flashy marketing hype, unlike another shiny, more colorful pure convection 2.0 "connoisseur" vape recently released in the same price range.

You can call me a fan girl, because I definitely am!

Amen, brother. Love, love, LOVE the original. It took me a little while to dial it in, but man once I did? Holy hell, this thing is on point. Talked to Joe once, in the early stages of ownership - he's good people.

I think that's the key, and it takes longer for some than others? Sadly some give up too soon as well I think.

I agree about Joe as well........we must have talked to the same guy. He's got a lot more going on with partners in Europe as I recall. Really sharp on the electronics and materials details as well.

Meh a 2.0 when I've not been able to use my O.G. properly... I've been having a terrible experience with this vape and the CS...

Anyone knows how I can upgrade my ESV firmware from 1.22 to the latest while the unit is not recognized anymore by my pc after being put in flash mode? I did that a year ago (or maybe even more) and was unable to use the vape as it wouldn't heat up so I gave up on it when Joe told me I had to send it back for them to update it (hopefully this has changed). Yesterday I charged it to give it a go (having forgotten what the problem was) and I've been able to use it (surprisingly it didn't combust that time, a first for me!), then I stupidly tried to update the firmware and turned it into a lemon again...
I assume when the battery is completely dead it switches back to normal mode once charged again but I'd like to be able to use the latest firmware as it should have quite a bunch of improvements.

I'm willing to give this vape another try even though it's been one deception after another and I've spent way too much money with it in overpriced accessories and not even getting what I really wanted for it because you guys can't all be wrong!

@Ipuffusa, anything you can do for me please Joe or should I give up as you've already completely switched your focus to version 2.0 and have no more interest in the OG ones?

Also I got one question, I've bought that tool to remove the screen so I could clean it properly, any idea how it's meant to be used, this is making me feel super dumb...

Just take unit apart and then unscrew the screens from underside of bowl using tool. Gasket side up.

The tool doesn't unscrew anything as far as I can tell, tried it both ways, it just spins on its own.

The rubber part should be catching the inner screw in washer nut thing. Might need a good iso soaking to loosen it up.

Am I right thinking this should be used on top of another tool? because I seriously have 0 grip to push on it and make it unscrew that bottom part.

Edit: Ok I've been forcing and pushed it further and with pincers have been able to remove that bottom part which I believe tore apart the joint on the tool and I'm not sure I can easily remove it from the tool..; the more I try with this the more I amaze myself for trying...

That screw ring really should not be that tight. If it is ever that tight, it is usually do to reclaim build up so I usually will take a pair of tweezers and use them like a pair of needle nose pliers to get it to turn some and then I use the tool.

@Melting Pot The tool goes into the bottom of the bowl with the silicone ring side towards the screen. The silicone should stick out just enough to get a slight grip on the screw ring that holds the screen in place. Lefty loosy!

Guess I've pushed too far which hopefully didn't completely ruined the bottom screen as I can't seem to find another one in my screen stock (I got like 6 or 7 screens for the lid though somehow ). I also hope I'll be able to take the tool of the bottom part without breaking anything (other than the already messed up o-ring used on the tool.

Btw I know I sound like a moody fuck, the reason for it is that I am a moody fuck, sorry about that.

I ordered an OG elevape from vapefiend but haven't tried it yet, I've been getting a little nervous reading some of the comments about burning and software problems, fiddlyness of the coil, etc... I'm getting the impression that it's not as wonderful as it's made out to be. Should I send this thing back and avoid having a used unit I don't want and can't return?

Just asking because it almost costs $400.00 with shipping and I'm living on wellfare for the foreseeable future. &

I NEVER doubted about the purchase. It's a great little magic box - do love it in my setup. A lot!
