What I do not understand so far in this thread is the glue issue: Is the ceramic heating element directly attached using glue or is the glue just used to hold the base plate of the heater in place?

no silicone is touching the heating element. as you can see the plate where it is mounted is glued in with a silicon like substance. the white ring underneath the heater cover seems to be rubber like silicon,it makes the cover fit tight to the top cap.

on another note:
i use mine exclusively all day over the original over the last half year or so, main reason being the facts that i can place it upright on the table, and weight. my power led is fickering though, rest is working just fine.

Thanks funkyjunky this image helped me a lot. I do not see any problem with having silicone outside the vapor path. I have a solo but for longer evenings with my firends this 12 min auto shut off is quite annoying. After hearing that the LSV can produce even denser vapor than the solo my decision was clear and I just ordered one of these. Sure, the intellectual property issue bothers me somewhat but an LSV is hard to get here and I believe that a big part of the credit should anyhow go to the soldering iron developers.

It seems a lot of people here on FC like the log vapes (HI, e-nano, underdog) in particular because of their efficiency. They are not compatible wit 230V or not easily available here. I will se how far this one gets. I wonder if this thing can be pimped somewhat by wrapping Al foil directly around the glas. I am looking very much forward to testing it.

Sure you can. I have a newer solo and power it with the charging adapter which I think is 12V and it still turns off every 12 minutes.

I believe the LSV or the clone are just better suited for longer sessions with more than two or three people because of the larger bowl and the fact that they stay on. The clone also can stand on its back which the solo can't when its plugged in.

You can't get 12V dc adapters for 230V mains?

Well you obviously can, that's not the problem.

HI - rather long wait list and growing
Underdog - doesn't ship internationally

I have seen these on E-bay but renamed Fuzion Galaxy Vaporizer for Au$100.

I received my new vaporizer and tested it. I want to share my first impressions here.
When I got it there were two issues:

First, the heating element was slightly tilted. I moved it in and out somewhat while I had the base part open. With a flashlight I could see that there is a silicone piece at the end of the heating element where electrical cables of the heater come out. This silicone piece fits snug into the small stainless steel tube in the center and builds the feedthrough between electronics and air/vapor section. By moving the heating element forward and backward and pressing the silicone with a screwdriver back into its place in the steel tube I could adjust the heating element so that it is quite straight now. After reading the procedures for straightening the heating element in the lsv threat I guess that a similar concept may be used inside the lsv.

The second issue is the power. This thing runs hot! In the lsv threat it is mentioned that the lsv uses about 25 watt. I used a cheap wattmeter that displays 23 watt next to the off position and 37 watt when the knob is all the way to the right. In both cases the heater glows. This seems quite hot. Fortunately I could use the wpa to extend the air path somewhat and put the herb into the EQ like screen (needed a little deformation) in the wand so that the vapor was cooler. The vaporization of two small bowls went smoothly. I got very tasty vapor with close to zero draw resistance. The color of the herbs was almost uniform without any stirring. This happened at the lowest temperature (23 watt). At this setting the herbs turned to a light brown color at moderate draw speed. At lower speed I find this temperature just a little too high.

It turns out that the wattmeter is quite useful to control the heat and I decided to always use this 10$ tool. In order to further reduce the temperature I bought a cheap dimmer (<10$) and connected the vaporizer to that. Now it is possible to finely tune the heat from a barely visible glow up to full power. I very much prefer the power adjustment on the dimmer and I keep the knob at full power on the vaporizer. In the future I plan using this device always together with wattmeter and dimmer. This will give me much better control and reproducibility.

Altogether I really love this thing. It works well with the long wand and my D020. It seems very sturdy and produces thick and tasty vapor.

Below is an image showing the content of the box with all glass parts and the screens that came with it. On the left are the wattmeter and dimmer that I use.

This thing runs hot!
yes, indeed! i always use it next to the off position, id say it is then a medium to high temp vaporizing temperature. to really dance on the line between vaporizing and combustion (heard that sometime ago in context of the lsv) a little more heat i necessary. this plus all-you-can-draw will satisfy any bong toker.

the lsv does run a bit cooler, id say lsv 11 o'clock or so is poppys next to off setting.

the dimmer is a very nice solution for lower temps!

personally i dont like the provided water pipe adapter and the way they advice on using it. i prefer the 18-18mm adapter with a screen inserted used directly from bubbler to vaporizer.

Mine is still working just fine for almost a year now....

Actually ordered two more for friends...

I mean 50euros shipped to your door. If I would have to buy al the adaptors it comes with it might cost me close too that, so the throw in the vaporizer for free I guess:p

mine runs like ever too! and good at that!

its probably the best deal out there.

the improvement over its original, the sideways cord, is why i use it more than the original...it can be stood up on the table, perfect!

still think almost all adapters provided with this vape are bull s#!t. i use the 18mm male 2 male provided with the bubbler from dhgate as a waterpipe adapter (check out lsv thread for info)

I bought this for the glass 18mm male /18mm female adapter. I have not found a place to buy that adapter. With all the glass it's well worth the $. I read a while back that the original lsv is made and assembled in China. Could be why the knock offs are so identical.

Mine died within about a month of use. (Fuzion Galaxy). light comes on so think the heating element went, was very hot at lowest on position. Still not bad price for glass bits I suppose. Got original now so the wand will come in use.

Chainfish,
Mines been going strong a few weeks! Just says "Pop-Vapor". The fit and finish is excellent on all of my pieces aside from the sandblasting on the F of the heater cover being a little awry.

All the fittings are 18mm male US so most fit Milaana (aww yeah). The kit I got came with arizer domes for instant ddave action. Side by side you can tell the faux's anodization isn't up to snuff and the top section seems to be cast aluminum and not drilled billet but heating element and performance seems dead on. The cord coming out of the side is a feature the true LSV really needs to consider.

Huh, the price is so good I'm having a hard time not buying it just for the glass. That wand looks really nice, I got some other vapes I want to use that on possibly. I could always use backups of all those adapters too.

Did everyone buy from this ebay seller? I'm a little weary of it all being in Spanish, but again for $27....

I bought from a US vendor on eBay, mine wasn't a "Fuzion" but rather a "Pop Vapor". Looks to be the exact same but different packaging.

I use mine daily. My only complaint is my dial is a little more easily moved out of adjustment than the real LSV's dial. I wrapped a rubber band around it to add a little more resistance.

Even for a cheapo item like this, and a cheapo like me who can put up with cheap shit, the knob f***** sucks!!!

Lucky me I had a lot of DIY electronics junk around so went looking and found a 1/4" shaft knob. the one I picked was just barely too big due to the stock one having a rubbery thing around it. Wrapped an itty bitty piece of green duct tape around the shaft and works perfect, plus now is lowkey christmas themed

If you're rough with it get a little bit of crazy glue or epoxy and put a lil in the knob then hold it on, but then it's not coming off ever :D

Hope this helps

Over a week daily with this thing constantly being turned on and off. I would dare to say it's LSV inspired because having the two side by side it's very different when you're looking down from the top. The glass on the inside doesn't look super strong but the aluminum is pretty heavy and thick (the holes are rough!) so it has already survived some falls just fine.

I think if it doesn't die on me in the next couple months of use like this it will have been a good investment, i am already happy with it, although at this time of year i don't need a good hand warmer much, but i have to admit there are times where even owning a LSV do I pick the POP instead... Those are usually times I want to use the LSV more like a log. Which is when the extra heat I greatly approve of.

I can't find a US listing for this. Have a link?
I was going to post the same thing today, I was hoping to grab it for $30 like some people were saying. The non-us listing is still up, but it's closer to $80.
