That's why I was hoping to inquire. There have been differing statements, and I have not heard one single thing from RBT since I ordered. No big deal really........

Playing with my long stem (that doesn't sound right ).
Changes things up, greater distance, you can see vapor build up.
I experimented with greater distance on screen placement, same as stock short stem.
Very tasty result, and with the power that is under the hood of MiMi, I just might need the greater distance from oven to keep taste high, harshness low, still thick and milky.
Sipping now, taste and clouds big, less work and dead accuracy on pull and press with screen distance increased to about a 1/4. Translates into easier session, especially when effect slaps you.

Planetvape says the milaana is in stock. Has anyone received one from the RBT site recently? I ordered one at the end of the sale and haven't received it. I wasn't worried because it can take a while to get something from RBT. But if they are in stock at PV then it doesn't make sense that they aren't being shipped from RBT.

Usually between medium
And fine grind.

Pack the chamber half full and a very light tamp with the top of a golf tee.

I don't pack very dense at all usually light and fluffy with just a little tap on top for the tamp.

My screen is dome style.

Are usually hold the button for four seconds while drawing release and continue to draw for for five seconds
Where is the dome screen placed?

If it is in the original position, it is probably the grind.

When I grind too fine and the battery is fresh, it will almost always char the load.

Also try to heat for 3 seconds while drawing and exhale

If the vaporizer is too light repeat the first step until you get to the desired thickness

and use that count as your base line preheat number.

In regards to the grind, Id hand grind and vape until the load is dry...then I'll turn it to dust and get bigger hits with considerably less preheat

PV purchased some # of units at preorder, received the order, and is now shipping onto their customers, as you would expect from a retail store.

RBT presumably is in the process of building and shipping the remaining preorders, like yours.

As others have pointed out, lots of ways to enjoy Milaana. I prefer packing her deep and hard with no grind onto a domed screen. Gives a little draw resistance to play with. After 5 or 6 draws, stir dump, hand shred (basically remove any wood) and repeat. I also keep my button pressed except for the final cooldown. Medium, not slow, draw. Temp step by adding seconds to each pull or just go for it with whatever you can handle. For a first pull I can't do more than 6 or 8 seconds on the button and then a veryrich finish. Whew! She strong...Of course this is all with midgrades. You folks with the high octane will definitely get different mileage. ;)
EDIT: What I'm starting to like about this thread is how much fun we're all having.

Yeah PV's wholesale order was fulfilled before later pre orders, since they ordered first actually, been in stock for a little while now. This longer wait time seems to mean a more polished product at least as QC improves

I spoke to Robert from Planet Vape after I had placed my pre-order and prior to PlanetVape having placed their order.

But just as later domestic orders (and even people who placed domestic orders for 2nd units ordered after the 420 rollout) received priority above earlier international orders.....so too has PlanetVape as RBT's first online retailer received priority delivery over earlier true pre-orders.

This was not a GHL situation where retail backers of the IGG campaign were truly ahead of later pre-orders.

This was a situation where a retail order was filled before earlier international pre-orders. When a retailer is getting production units then these are no longer considered to be preorders.....by definition

I am guessing that this as well as holding back pricier shipping of international preorders was probably done to address cash flow issues....since after all RBT already had the cash for all the earlier international pre-orders but wouldn't be getting paid for PV's order unless delivered immediately.

I understand the reasoning behind it but I think that anyone with any common sense would agree that this wasn't fair to those who placed earlier international orders.

the quoted post says the order was made at the end of the sale, thus likely after the PV order.

regardless, PV has units in their possession ready to ship, independent of whether RBT also has units ready to ship.

??????? ! WTF ! ???????

I am sorry but you either quoted the wrong post or didn't read mine correctly.

Robert is the owner of PV and I know from talking to him that my international order (live 45 min from PV and have been down to their warehouse in Mississauga to pick up orders before) was placed before PV's.

When I spoke to Robert about the Milaana, long after my preorder had been placed, he knew about the Milaana but hadn't decided at that point whether he was going to carry them and was also having trouble getting replies from RBT

Not sure why you are contradicting me on this factual information?

Having just gotten my Milaana back today, I wanted to share my CS experience with RBT. Today is exactly two weeks after they received my Milaana for repair. Considering there is a border between us, I am happy with the turnaround. In the end they didn't charge me for the button repair, they said it was under warranty, so the only thing I had to pay was shipping there, they covered shipping back.

Other items of note from my warranty experience:
  • Sheila is very helpful and rather prompt generally with a response.
  • They also fixed my female glass as it was far from flush and not even. It is now further in and quite even.
  • They sent me a replacement short stem for the broken one as per their offer. They have improved the quality of the short stem from the previous one I had gotten.
  • They sent me a replacement battery for the dented one that I had mentioned previously. I didn't even think about it and didn't mention it to them, but they remembered and sent the replacement anyway.
I think that is all. Overall I am quite happy with the CS I received from RBT. I am definitely very happy to have my Milaana back!

Was it a repair or did you get a new vape?

Just had an epiphany! This occurred to me previously, but until I got a new Milaana with recessed glass, it didn't mean much. Recessed glass means stem floor closer to heater by about an 1/8 inch. In my repaired Mi, in which we all saw in the video, gets super evenly hot, is still only about three-quarters as hot as my new Mi, with the recessed female glass.

Nice, but I'm not sure if that's necessarily true...

my original response was to Maggie's post, who said her purchase was at the end of the sale.

I understand that you and others may have ordered before PV but still haven't received units yet

That new polished final version looks fantastic next to the og mi. I am eagerly waiting for my preorder, but knowing that I will get that awesome final unit, I am happy to wait! Thank you for the comparison shot.
