Discontinued The Grasshopper

I'm going to go against the trend of what others have answered here and say Sept 2016. This is based on their current shipment rates, & does not account for any unforeseen issues that may arise(& have happened many a time before).
they have scheduled themselves to ship pre-orders starting from April 2015 up till January 2016. as reports in shipping thread suggests. they current shipping rates are nowhere near to do that. June already is in da middle, but they haven't started to send out an address confirmations for April 2015 pre-orders jet.

I agree with you 100% I'm on day 5 with the Hopper and am in love. I circumvented my Ti preorder which I theoretically won't receive for 6+ months and bought an SS off Ebay. I went ahead and also ordered an additional 'backup' SS to circumvent a possible repair/warranty issue on my 1st SS..I expect delivery within a week. Seriously...embarrassing I know....but I like the GH that much. In 2013 bought a Pax 1 and it became my sole device for 3 years. The GH is everything that I had ever hoped that a device could be. My temp control ability is so precise that it astounds me. My back end only gets warm if I am on temp level 5.....and temp level 5 is HOT....while temps 1 & 2 are quite pleasantly low (enjoyable on a fresh pack).

I'd purchased an FF2 but it provided me none of the benefits that I sought....except it did provide cool vapor. The GH will not provide cool vapor...and it may be harsher than many other vapes due to its form factor....but for my style of usage....the GH is an irreplaceable game changer. I also like the 'feedback' that the GH's harsher vapor provides....reminds me of actually smoking....but without the adverse yucks of combusting.

I wish that I didn't have this feeling that my GH could fail at any moment...I've read all the posts. Knock on wood mine is performing flawlessly. So flawlessly in fact...that it will be my sole device choice moving forward. I sold the FF2 and the Pax so I wouldn't feel so badly about having 3 GH's on order. I'm not sure that I would be so tickled if I were on my "9th warranty claim" as someone recently posted, however, I'm verging on becoming a fan boy of the GH. It is a spectacular little device.

Agreed for what it does it is absolutely all I need!! No more VAS for me!! Unless that includes getting more hoppers incase one hits the dreaded warranty ;)...as I have done as well! I must admit it calms me down knowing that if the hopper in hand were to croak...there is another waiting in the wings...honestly not sure if I can happily use anything else at this point. I know this is not the case for everyone but for my particular needs this thing is the end..

"they have scheduled themselves to ship pre-orders starting from April 2015 up till January 2016."

I don't understand what you are trying to say here.

Let's start with the 5200 remaining orders and assume they are up to 6000 now. Let's also assume they maintain the 1600 / month (which is low due to the charger fault). 6000-1600 = 4400 / 1600/month = 2.75 months = September.

I have had my Ti for about four months and decided to get a back up SS

Comparing them
Back to back I think my Ti may be developing a fault. The amount of vapor produced at say Temp 3 seems to have declined and certainly a lot less than my SS. The back end also gets hot to touch. But it does still work in terms of effect, and produces some vapor at say Temp 4.5. It's just doesn't seem to be as goo as it was, and I actually prefer using the SS

I will keep an eye on it as not sure I can instigate a warranty return for a unit that is working. What do you guys think?

that is true. it looks like you don't understand what Hopper Labs are up to.

important is not what HL are saying, but what they are doing. and doing they are well by opening international retail sales while in last month they only served preorders from February to mid March 2015. and now you believe that in June they gonna serve preorders made in time period of 10 months? don't be naive man. another excuses are coming for estimates extensions.

While you have 2 I would send it in, they're pretty interested in making sure every hopper out there is working properly. That's what the lifetime warranty is for so use it!

I guess you still think there are "evil conspiracy theories about HopperLabs being evil".

I'm not sure they have "open[ed] international retail sales", it has been discussed that these are likely retail stores who added many pre orders to their original order just as you & I had the ability to do. They may have seen an opportunity & taken advantage of it.

"now you believe that in June they gonna serve preorders made in time period of 10 months?" Never said that anywhere. You & I have no idea how many orders per month, so therefore have no idea of how many months of existing pre orders they will be able to deliver in June.

This 'conversation' started by me saying that I believe someone who orders today will get their unit in Sept, I provided the math & logic of why I believe this. If you can provide me some info I'm missing, not just "evil conspiracy theories" I'm all ears.

wait and see! is it conspiracy theory or not. i think there is no coincidence that SS Hoppers are halt back more than Ti, while Vapefiends got a new batch of SS in their store.

"it has been discussed that these are likely retail stores who added many pre orders to their original order just as you" ... this is exactly what makes them evil. allowing retailers to add unlimited amount of units.

I was one of the ones defending Hopper Labs, I was under the impression these units going to retailers were preorders. However, it looks like that's not the case, at least for Vaposhop, as of August 19th 2015 they still did not have an agreement in place with Hopper Labs:

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vaposhop-europes-1-vaporizer-store.4187/page-6#post-839136

I understand they may have made commitments with European retailers that they could not break. It was the right decision to honor those agreements. However, making such arrangements in advance before they knew 100% that they could fulfill preorders first was a bad decision in my opinion.

I'm hoping this scenario is what happened, I prefer to think that HL is just completely inept at estimating shipping times (no way!?!), and not being actively malicious.

You should really consider some sort of case for those batteries so they don't short out on each other or anything else. Li-ion batteries can catch on fire if shorted.
