I got mine in under a week. No warning, no tracking. It just showed up one day. This would be my one complaint about the Nova. They don't do "tracking" very well.

Yes it is. I have had successful email contact both ways on that. I am in medical state and so had to send proof of legality, requested via that addy. I requested confirmation that what I send was acceptable and got a "yes" reply.

I have had a bit of contact with the owner as well and she was very quick to help. I am NOT concerned about them being legit. I expect that they are doing well enough on sales at this point that they can't guarantee receipt in under a week (unless you pay to expedite). But that they do make the attempt.

Only reason I even asked is that (evil twin sister) cooks for other people and edibles will run out in 4 days. So there may be one last non NOVA decade batch. If so it will be passive, covered glass pan on a black metal table outside and an IR temp gun.

I could have spent the money to expedite but didn't.

Hiya combustion fuckers, here's my assessment of Omari's remarkeable invention.
This, from my perspective as a cancer and Parkinson's Disease survivor.

For Ca, the best use of cannabis is orally, metabolized by the liver. This has actually brought my PSA #'s down. Decarbed edibles and tinctures are only as good as the decarb. Cannabis provides me more functional relief from Parkinson's symptoms than any big pharma option.

I've been using oven decarb for years. No lab access, but subjectively, Nova/Lift result consistently seems ~30% stronger. The lack of odor is an enormous benefit in an apartment environment.

The ease of use is tremendously helpful for the motor-skill deficits inherent in Parkinson's.

Omari's customer service is the best in the industry, hands down.

If you are in a non medical state, as I am temporarily, Omari can legally provide you with the Lift which is identical to the med state Nova. The lack of odor can be a life saver here. The fool proof increase in available THC pays for the device quickly. The ease of use is helpful for able bodied people and essential for those with a variety of handicaps.

I am in no way involved with the company other than as a supremely satisfied customer.

Sorry for the slow update speed. Google "Dog Head Fire New Mexico" as to why I am behind. It did not get our house but we did evacuate.

I got mine much quicker than expected; 8 days from proof of medical card. Haven't used it yet. As far as the over all look? Hats of the the entire Nova team. Packaging is minimalistic but also creative and very visually appealing. Same for the devise its self.

i would pay a bit more for it to be a bit sturdier. But for its intended use it is more than sturdy enough. I'm just like that about electronics and glass ware, lol. I use milspec armored drives, my kindle is in a shock proof case, and my monster bong is 9mm thick.

Assuming that it works I am very happy with it.

p.s.

Anyone with a connect for even heavier duty glass ware please send me a message.

It does not work; I am not happy! I have a nonfunctional NOVA. Finally settled back into the house enough to cook my next batch of fudge. Taking the unit ALL the way out of the box and a few problems became apparent.

The cord is not attached.
Bottom black portion is attached crookedly.
Very bottom of unit is not flat.
Little red/pink portion inside is at an angle.
Top outer lid will not lock.

I just (as in 15 minutes before posting this) got out of chat with Omari. He said to email him details (I did, along with a picture) and he would get right on it. I will keep this thread updated.

+ It is a new design and even the most tried and true designs have the occasional lemon. Credit on fast response (so far).

- I worked QC waaay back in the day and this unit is quite visibly crooked. It was built that way and not damaged in transit. It IS a new thing, so QC is even more important, especially something that is visibly defective form 20 feet away.

Based on customer service so far I believe they will take care of me. But I'm not happy to be decarbing in the oven again will all that entails.

Ive been watching this thread and was going to order one of these this week. This is making me have second thoughts.. I dont have time to deal with some that shows up broken, especially if its broken from the manufacturer.

Tracking shows it as being at the local FebX since the first and no delivery scheduled, lol.
This is not the makers fault but is annoying to me.

OK, you need to understand that I am a mountain dwelling hermit person with a host of medical issues including TBI, PTSD, chronic pain, etc.. Enough so that I was advised off the record by multiple VA docs that "this is a medical state you know..." which is how I ended up getting my card. Point being that little stuff like this (for "normal" people) is very hard for me to process. at this point I just want my $ back and the Novas out of my life.

I Have received a replacement unit. At least the cord is attached. Some of the problems in my first unit are also present in the second one. Plus it has new and unique issues all its own and may be a refurbished one to boot.

I have pictures of both units I will post if I can figure out how. I find icons at top of "reply to thread" but only for a url, not for from my computer.

EDIT:

OK credit to NOVA for customer service: I just got a phone call from the owner/inventor (after hours on the east coast) as she was driving, less than 30 minutes after sending them an email. The replacement unit I received was a beta and supposed to be going out as a discount to a veterans group. So credit to them on that. And I do get that it is a startup with all the crazy that entails.

I will update you all as it happens...

Another thread lurker here. I've been watching this thread closely as well. I'm interested in the Lift Decarb by the same manufacturer.

The experience of Krazy is a little concerning to me, hence I've delayed making an order. Additionally, correspondence with Omari has been a little sparse, which causes me to hesitate more.

However, if it's a dependable, quality piece of equipment, I'll certainly purchase it. I live in a situation where heavy odors of any kind aren't tolerable. The continued delay just increases my stress as I need something like this to make proper medicine for a very ill family member (conventional treatments/diagnoses aren't working and are inconclusive so far, but ongoing....still don't know what's wrong after many, many years).

I mentioned it earlier in the thread but for anyone looking for a cheaper and possibly more dependable option, I'm pretty sure a cheap induction cooktop from Amazon and an airtight steel container should do the same thing. You'll have to figure out the times and temps yourself but it shouldn't take too much trial and error.

Thank you, I appreciate the recommendation. In my case, that isn't possible. Discretion is a necessity, and cooking random things at the stovetop provides little discretion.

Apparently I have such a thing with Amazon Prime; who knew!

My original unit: crooked base and unattached cord.

Second unit, cord attached mostly and base lure crooked; progress!

https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/s...M4D87ITJutD?v=grid&ref_=cd_ph_share_link_copy

Side by side (yes I know who it looks like). L is my original one; silicone seal not mounted properly. R is replacement which was a beta run and so innards looked a tad different.
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/s...SHTKBXGWzv4?v=grid&ref_=cd_ph_share_link_copy

I routinely fund stuff on kickstarter and indiegogo so I grok the whole startup thing. If they are dealing with the base being a tad off on some units but entirely functional I am down with that.
My replacement was a beta and so had some cosmetic differences with the original. Only reason that was an issue for me was that I was gun shy due to it being my second unit.

As mentioned I don't cope with pretty much anything as well as I used to, lol. But credit to the owner/inventor for calling me basically in real time and after hours on this. And since without your guys assistance my tech level of vaping involves 2 knives and a butane torch? I am sticking with it and will keep you updated.

Edit: and will figure out how to post actual pictures rather than links; I promise.

Krazy,
Thanks for the updates and images. Can you answer a stupid question of mine (I asked Omari many days ago, and haven't heard a thing), how did the product arrive? Was it a plain shipping box? I'm curious, since I don't like ppl knowing what's arriving at my door.
