You can get clouds like the ESV(which is a better comparison than most I've seen) but I found on my ESV it's easier to scorch a load and easier to combust. The taste wasn't as good.

Also owning both the ESV and firefly 2. I do agree with Slow Draw McGraw impressions of these 2 vaporizers. I do feel form factor portability ESV wins. Not saying the firefly2 isn't portable heck it can used the places any other portable can and even some where others can't. There just better portable designs.

I feel as others pointed out firefly 2 is more of a connoisseur's vaporizer.
This Vaporizers is the best tasting in my portable collection. Since taste was my main draw for the firefly 2 I am very happy with this unit.

For me the firefly 2 is going be more my chill vaporizer. Something I would use more around the house and garden, around a campfire etc, anywhere that I really have time to enjoy a great tasting bowl. Somewhere I have the time to stir take slow long draw etc. Where I'm not messing around being discreet.
For this use I feel she's going shine.

Ok, tried to take a few notes to see about battery life etc, number of pulls, amount .13g, grind etc...

What I find that works consistently for me is:

If I set it at say medium or even med low, with a coarse grind, I get a decent cloud, nothing crazy, but I can easily see it. 1-2 pulls at around 20-25 secs with lsd making sure it doesn't whistle and I feel the meds easily. Taste is amazing as if I'm eating it. Once I notice the abv color changing to a little bit brownish, I bump up the heat to med high. I usually get 6 more hits that are still decent size wise but taste has really diminished. I usually do this over around 6-7 days and my battery doesn't die on me and usually shows full still which I know isn't possible.

Coarse grind, with gr8tr, .10-.13g, fluffy still, packed a little over the over and lightly tamp down. I found that a hand tear for me produced very uneven abv and didn't produce nearly as consistently for me. I do stir fairly frequently though, probably once a day. I look at the abv and see what it looks like and if I see brown in the middle I stir, simple.

I use this around the house, discreetly, and typically in garage and doesn't produce much smell. I will not say it's no smell at all though. the unit has a smell of the contents when you first load it, but after that it's a little bit of a burnt popcorn you smell but not horrible. Most wouldn't notice it in your pocket, but if you put it near your face your going to smell it. Vapor is not very smelly at all, within a minute I can't tell or smell anything. My wife, who is a non toker, has walked in right after and didn't notice anything and has never smelled it on me. You can taste it in your mouth though, smells like fresh yummy meds at first but after it Browns some you will taste the popcorn, lol. I find that one load lasts me about 6-7days at my current rate, 2pulls a day and I usually have some left in it but want to change up so I dump it and clean it(which takes about 1min). This ff2 is really really good for me and my wants. Only thing I would like if I could dream it up would be for it to be a little bit more stealthy. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect for ME...

I typically get decent meds, Girl Scout cookies, sour diesel, or some kind of lemon something that's tasty. Worst case is some no name stuff but sometimes taste better than all of them anyway and does a good job every time...

It is done. After months of lurking, reading the good, the bad and the not too ugly, I finally took the plunge ordering a brand new, baby blue Firefly 2. Yes I paid the extra $17 for priority fedex. I mean I'm already over $400 with case, external charger and tax, why stop now?

This is my first non-pax vape - have P1 & P2. Love the P2 and figure it will remain my out of home option.

But I'm all about the flava and am looking to find a way to enjoy that first taste of a fresh bowl throughout. I think FF2 is the best option.

Has anyone tried to cape just a mini-session - a couple of beauty hits and reload? Any tips?

Good luck! Hope you love it and look forward to your report. I'm still only dipping my toes in this VAS pool.

I'm looking forward to expanding my horizons. Still have kind thoughts of my Pax. As much as I love my iPhone I still remember my Palm Pilot fondly.

I promise an in depth fact-finding mission followed by a full report!

I think you'll love the FF2, my Pax is for when I'm out in a group or need stealth but at home the firefly excels beating the efficiency of the pax by miles and offering that fresh taste you get with a first pull over and over again. You won't be disappointed!

So fellow flyers question for you. Regarding desktop vapes who has and loves the E-nano? I love FF for taste and taking edge off etc but for group settings or times when I just want to make big clouds and get ripped quickly do you guys think E-nano will fit the bill? I need something small that I can take out, use, and put away and also something I can easily take with me to friends etc....I don't want to go off topic so if you'd rather Message me thoughts that's cool too.

I realize if I put this on E-Nano thread I may get biased responses. Thanks guys.

Personally, I wish I could get an e nano. But it needs a minimum 50w transformer and that is a seriously huge power brick. Bit expensive too. I'm looking at a silversurfer or a da buddah, man I hate that name, lol.

Waiting on hearing from Firefly on dispatch details and confirmation, so far I have only received confirmation from paypal that I have paid to the company that is registered by Firefly. Considering they have expedited shipping options I am disappointed it didn't ship yesterday, as I pretty much made the order before opening hours for California.

I hope I hear from them today, and they ship out today as well. Generally, they do send you some sort of email, confirming everything, don't they?

Those that have the heavy hitters (desktop and portable) and ended up trying this FF2? Were you left feeling like you don't need this or is this a vape you'd definite keep in your rotation? I like the tech, but I am wondering if this is going to be for me or not. I'm not bothered by the stealth factor, I plan to use this at home.
i bought one...it was a nice piece...but....to me...the draw seemed too restrictive, even after I removed the mouthpiece screen... I felt out of breath every time I used the FF2.. i only gave it a couple of days and decided to sell it...I already have Pax2 and Crafty and asked myself.."How often will i reach for the FF2 over the Crafty?" .....the price was a bit high for a item I probably wouldn't be using enough to justify $330...If it was $150 i probably would have kept it or gifted it ...

Cloudy...
So after a couple of days testing it I have the first real issue. I'm still testing about draw, grind and how even I can get the ABV, but the problem is that the battery only last 1 bowl or 1 and a half if I'm lucky.

Still have to try the second battery and hope they will take care of me even being in UK. But will keep testing further before contacting them, maybe the other battery works like it should and I don't have to sent the full thing...

How did you get a FF2 if you're in the UK? Friend or relative in America ship it to you? If so, did you have any issues with customs and did you have to pay extra duty/tax at all?

One and half bowls? That is not good. Is it not possible to replace it with a better battery?

Btw, the Vapexhale evo, is it UK voltage compatible or do you need a transformer? I would love to buy one, but I thought it was only American voltage.

If you email vapeXhale before you purchase they should be able to supply you with a uk one. They don't advertise them but apparently carry them in their warehouse.

Very very disappointed with how firefly chose to handle my defective unit and how long it takes to receive a reply. While others get a call from the vp for the same issue. everyone who currently owns one including me has put faith in the product and company without actually seeing it. Defective units can happen with any product but they should be handling this better. Murf how long have you been without your unit for ?

Did you split your usage up over the course of a couple days? IE, did you use one bowl on day one, and then get a dead battery halfway through a bowl on day two? Or did it crap out after only 1 1/2 bowls in the same day?

Sounds obvious, but make sure you've charged it fully before trying to assess battery life. The cradle is a little weird, IME, and doesn't always seem to fully charge. Make sure you get a solid blue on the device.

I think most folks have had pretty quick responses, so far. How long have you been waiting? Have you called them? (That's what I would do, if I sent an email and didn't hear back within one biz days. Pick up the phone and call...bet you get some quick action that way.)

They had mine over the 10-14 day response time and all I get is the same generic answer that when its done being tested they will send me an Email on what was done.yeaterday they said it was being worked on but still don't know what's taking so long. Very disappointed in the return process so far.

Having to have repairs done on a brand new product and wait this long is unacceptable. They should send out replacements and learn from those defective units how to adjust their manufacturing process. I am not willing to send mine in just to wait a couple weeks to have it "repaired" and messed around with this soon

My Firefly 2 is finally out for delivery! It feels like I've been waiting forever. Hopefully the tips in this thread will help me avoid the issues others have had.

how do i get rid of this brown spot on the metal ?

isopropyl wipes is not working, cant even scratch it off with a pointy plastic

I dont think you are going to get that off...I have same thing. Think its just from use.

Also, highly recommend Vipes from Vapefiend. I keep them in the storage case with it and they work awesome for cleaning the FF2.
