Vapenado

..you can put your weed in it
Has anyone thought of (or tried) using a mini ultrasonic cleaner (using ISO) to clean concentrate pads? Just plain soaking in ISO works pretty well but I'm thinking an ultrasonic could get them like almost new again.

So far I've been rotating the pads and cleaning with 2 soaks in ISO and the pads come out like new and the ISO is clear.

Here's a question: If you buy the 3-pack of concentrate pads from Firefly do you get 3 pads total or 9 pads total?

It's also worth mentioning again that you can clean the bowl and the lid while the FF2 is still hot using just a dry paper towel without ISO and have it clean and ready to use again in literally 10 seconds.

I clean it while it's hot for convenience a lot of the time and clean it with iso maybe every 10-20 sessions just to make it brand new again.

The cleaning of the FF2 is definitely the easiest of any vape I've used by far.

Pretty sure it's just a three-pack, i.e. one package with three pads in it.

@mitchgo61

Could you use your connections to help your friends over the water get some clarification on a date for the European release?:)

Few conflicting messages out there at the mo

Asked. I'll let you know as soon as I get an answer.

OK so it sounds like the hold-up has been specific Europe requirements to get CE approvals and they are in the final stages of that process. "Second half of summer" was about as narrowed-down an answer as I was able to get. I would assume August-ish, early September on the late end (not to be too obvious about the "second half" of the season. :p). If I hear anything more concrete I will pass it along.

I ordered a gold Firefly 2 guys! Ordered to my sister in America, and she will send it to me. Hopefully she will get it sometime this week.

VapeFiend said he's getting it end of June!
That's amazing! Did you talk to the manager or just a regular sales associate? Their website says it will be available in July and everyone else is saying there won't be any European retailers carrying it until late summer (August or September). I preordered from Namaste in UK and recently got an email saying it won't be available until late summer as well which also confirms the other reports.

So, you are literally the only one that has heard other wise which begs the question - how reliable is your source?

If we're really lucky Namaste will also be getting a shipment in June :)

@Dringus I spoke to them on Twitter about a month ago. I don't know who specifically, but that's what they said. It's probably still on their Twitter TL. They're on point them guys, I've got no reason not to believe them.

Where is she sending it to?

London!

Looks like it won't hit Europe for a while longer. I mean, that is to be expected with a product that is in short supply in America, and from America.

I hope she gets it soon. Perhaps this can be my home vape too, and I will not buy a desktop.

malsanti,
So I tried some rosin with pad and it worked incredibly well. My other vaporizers are really having a hard time competing. I can only say thank goodness for pax2 and the crafty which do have some stealth features that the firefly cannot duplicate easily. Since you don't have to (sort of) press those little buttons you can hold those in a much more stealthy way. At least I haven't figured out an elegant and stealthy way to hold the firefly2.

Battery life: I get about three bowls before battery is done however I am using very long button
activations and probably 10 draws per bowl. If I could remember when adjusted to count the number
of seconds of activiation it would probably easily add up to 6 bowls with 6 draws of 10-15 seconds.
10x20x3 = 600 seconds of activation versus 6x6x15 = 540 seconds of activation.

I'm having a lot of hope that when my new unit comes back from warranty that it will perform great! I had feelings of wanting to sell it but I know if I work at it a little the performance will eventually shine. This is my
First convection so I need to be patient! I have a Milaana coming today as well

Those that have the heavy hitters (desktop and portable) and ended up trying this FF2? Were you left feeling like you don't need this or is this a vape you'd definite keep in your rotation? I like the tech, but I am wondering if this is going to be for me or not. I'm not bothered by the stealth factor, I plan to use this at home.

That's what i wan't to know i love those giant draws off my surfer, Also i know i can't use it like my Esv it's not very discrete, Does anyone have both Esv and Ff2? It look's to me the Ff2 can get as good clouds as Esv. I could see the Ff2 being a good car vape as a passenger but not so much walking around outside.

Why can't it just be a bulky e pen?

I haven't tried it yet but the way vapecritic holds it, looks stealthy enough for me.

Isnthe pax being a session vape make it less stealthy?

If ff2 has the least smell, that too seems like the most important part of stealth. Just my two cents from observing. The manner in which I plan to use it, bathrooms, parks, cinemas, I think smell is more important.

I have desktops and portables. I bought this knowing what to expect. You will not get big desktop type hits. You will not get portable hits like the Mighty, although the mighty has a good amount of conduction and aides alot in vapor production. Best thing is not to buy this expecting those things. Buy this for what it is, counting you want what it is.
Sounds funny, but I'm just saying try to know what to expect. It's portable, battery powered, on demand, and regulated temp.
I wanted a portable on demand convection Vape that provides satisfying hits while keeping the vapor cool. Not to mention the taste this thing gives. This is truly a connoisseur's vaporizer. There are things you have to appreciate about it. Some of the drawbacks others have, don't bother me because it met everything I was expecting. I have a very insanely sensitive throat at certain times of the year(now) and the firefly1 was my go to more so when my throat acts up. I bought the FF2 because its easier to use than the FF1 with the FF2 having regulated temps. The vapor is always cool, and not harsh at all. It's very smooth.
I am enjoying this new device.

You can get clouds like the ESV(which is a better comparison than most I've seen) but I found on my ESV it's easier to scorch a load and easier to combust. The taste wasn't as good. I know someone liked the ESV better while I like the FF1 and def my FF2 better than my ESV. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It isn't really a "heavy hitter" type vape, though you can get thick vapor with it without too much trouble. IMO it makes a nice complement to more heavy, cloud-oriented vapes. It has superb flavor; since it's pure convection it's more of an "on demand" type experience as opposed to a session vape; and the on-demand nature of it makes it much more conservative than vapes that use any amount of conduction, and/or need a larger amount of weed to generate vapor.

If I'm looking for a session-y, lazy, automatic experience I use the Mighty. But when I really wanna taste my weed, or really just want a few hits, or looking for a vape I can grab on-the-go to do a few hits outside the house, the FF is the king.

But you can use FF as session vape also, correct?

Mighty sounds great, but it's so bulky and ugly. Doesn't look very portable to me.

I'm not sure if you're new to vaping, but I know you're new to the forum. I'd like people who lurk and people curious about this or that to know this. This is the rawest way I can put it in relation to smoking. This is like a crass smoking terms ranking in relation to the hits/vapor production. You will see where the Firefly fits.

Desktop Vaporizer(EVO, 7th floor products,Volcano, verdamper, ect.) = take the biggest Bong and these vapes can stack up against the effect of that in terms of the smoke the bong can produce and the vapor these units can produce. You give out before it does. This Vape stays home.

Portable Vaporizer (Mighty, PAX, Haze V3, CFX, ect)= Blunt
Its always cooking and ready to hit, the more you leave it the more it cooks if you don't put out the blunt. If it this vape doesn't have autoshut off timer it will.constantly heat your material.Takes more hits than a pipe or bong to kill the load. This Vape is portable but like a blunt, you need to have ample time to finish the load and need to be descreet as it can smell alot.
On demand Vaporizer(Firefly 2, ESV, MFLB, Milaana)= Hitting a traditional spoon pipe. You light it up when you hit and put it down until you're ready to take another hit, or you keep going while riding the heat of the cherry. Most people I know hit a pipe and put it down for next time. Unless they are using low quality material. Vapes like the FireFly2 and the others listed are a technological way of emmulating that spoon pipe experience in my opinion. Always ready when you're lighter was ready. Took less hits to finish than a mj cig or Blunt. That brings me to the quick portion, if you aren't using quality material, the FireFly2 will let you know very quickly, just like a spoon pipe did. You can sneak away with these vapes and medicate quickly and put it away much like a spoon pipe.
Vapes that are constantly heating your material cause you to take hit after hit after hit where you can't judge it as well because you're consuming more.
Sorry for the rant. This was more or less for new people fucking combustion.
