The rule is we cannot post links if it has a counterfeit label on it. It has nothing at all to do with who Stu likes or not, it is the forum rules and if we want to be active here we got to follow them. Stu is a mod here and is just doing his job. I can attest to Stu have nothing against certain sellers. I personally do not make the rules but I can help you a bit on deciding in your purchase as I have owned both. While I would usually go with steven , the glass on the other listed is much thicker , the quality is amazing. I am so happy with mine , it is prob the best glass I ever got off the gate. I told them before purchasing I would post it after on a few sites to show people so who knows maybe they went above and beyond and made me or sent me the top pick of the litter. I cannot complain at all , I am so happy with this piece in every way. Looking at in person you would never know its a counterfeit , its like they stole the real version and sent it my way. I cant attest to what you will get if you decide to use them as it is always hit and miss but I highly recommend it from what I received.

Good question! This might be more appropriate for a thread in the glass section, but your best bet IMO is a basic beaker bong. Most of the hydratubes and almost all rig designs are designed to minimize restriction, but as I'm sure you know, high restriction=bigger vapor pools in your piece, and bigger hits. If you get a beaker bong with the classic "pyramid" shaped beaker base, it will require a high amount of water and let you hit the Evo kind of like a snapper bowl--inhale, inhale, then pull and clear. Any basic 3 slit down stem will work.

My Solo has been solo since I EVOlved!

It's been about a week now but I still feel like I have so much to learn. I started with heating to max and then dropping to about 1:30 but my go-to has morphed into just leaving it at 2:00. My sessions get started in half the time this way. Soon as it goes green I start hitting it. The first two or three hits are tasty and whispy but by the fourth the clouds really start moving in. I like this method because the session starts off slow and builds till each hit punches me square in the face. Don't get me wrong....I'm feeling the happy in the first three whispy hits too.

I've milked up my bubbler and love that I can't seem to overrun the oven on this thing. And believe me I've tried. The harder I draw the bigger the cloud gets. Completely the opposite of my conduction based vapes. The standard mouthpiece is my favorite though. for me...better taste and more efficient on the herb.

Here are the downsides for me...but even the downsides are good.
- The damn thing is so smooth that it makes it too easy to take these wasteful, massive, lung filling milkshake thick hits. I get a little greedy, or lose my attention span and what would normally be a eight hit session before the herb is done can turn into just four. I'm getting the hang of it but when I'm doing a session with someone not so EVOlved I've felt like 'Don't Bogart that vape my friend' as they choke out a humongous plume. Then they turn to me and say....'this thing really blasts through the product'. No shit....try moderating your intake. Right about now @stickstones is probably laughing and thinking 'people who live in glass houses shouldn't get so stoned' because the first time we got together I choked out a good couple hits myself
- Slower to reach temp than my conduction vapes. But not by much since I've taken to setting at 2:00 and allowing the early draws to heat soak the herb.....more than worth the wait.
- Checking the ELB for combustion. Sometimes the hit is still thick enough toward the end of a session when the taste gets musky that I wonder if it ignited. Answer is still, no it didn't.
- Wishing I was as popular as my Bamboo. Thing gets blown all the time..... for no reason.

i feel like the FC mod has a good deal of restriction simply due to them two chambers. I was very surprised how awesome the classic d020 worked with the evo via whip tubing.

I got a FC 2020 bubbler from another DHGate seller not using Steven and it was udder crap. But a lot of people on FC that ordered a similar piece from Steven or Sunshine Store loved it. I got this piece from Stevens store, it was perfect.

The EVO is so good it's hard to use a portable.
I use my EVO before naps and I love it!

while I am Waiting for my Evo to arrive in the mail I went on a hunt for power cables.... this one is too thick!!!! this one is too short!!!! this one has a weird sticky label on it, this one has bends and crooks in it!!!

what is a man to do??? years ago i gave a fancy power cable that came with a POWER MAC G4 to a friend when he got his evo as a gift because the cable it came with was so stiff!!

he uses that cable still to this day and it is amazing!

IMO when you are showing off a high-price glass piece, you better take the best one and ercond the best action you can.
I don't who filmed that, but the fact, that there is only a single slit firing the whole video just turns me off.
Is that badly filmed (very slow pull so you don't see the full potential) or just a bad piece with a stretches slit where its joined like some cheap chinese glass does have?
I know my hydrabase fires just as it should, not like this (but I'd like my hydrabase to be as tall as the one on the vid, mine is pretty short)

Also, I'm not sure if the sideways matrix perc is the best for this kind og glass. IMO it would work better on a glass that was not so wide.
Lately, I've been using a new fritted disk ashcather and I love its action. I know it's been getting some hate for its restriction and quick clogging, but if you use it just with vapes (that are not clooging pipes so much and have significant restrictions on their own) and care for it (use cranberry extract and clean often), it rewards.

So... anyone thinks, this "fritted hydrabase" down below would be a good idea? I think so and I would grab one if it existed:


...or a honeycomb for those who dislike frits. IMO disc percs would jsut fit this form factor and function much better than the current matrix barrel.

I thought that was attributed to the whip kit, but even inverted directly, only fires more on one side for most of the action.

@Seek I agree it fires better directly but as you said it prefers more of one side to the other.

That video shows off the piece much better as there are more visible firing slits than just one.
I was about to say it should be on their site, but I see it already is. So they probably realized the video was bad and updated

But it looks like it still preffers to fire most of the bubbles only on one side...
My hydrabase fires evenly on its whole length, not like this.

I've seen double 18mm female jointed double honeycomb tubes on dhgate that would work as a base but with an added male to male adapter on top, under the hydratube.

We were hitting it hard last night at what has been my go-to temp of 2:00. Great session. The words 'Whew! Gotta save sessions like this for special occasions!' were uttered.

Got a little black charring on some freshly ground sticky stuff toward the end of the session. Wasn't combustion by any means but definitely creeping up to the line. Backing off to 1:30 as my new go-to temp.

I really like the difference in the ABV end result with the EVO versus my conduction vapes. The golden brown ABV feels like weightless super dried out parchment paper. No doubt it is spent. The ABV from my conduction vapes is usually a dark brown to almost black but still has 'substance' to it. The EVO is the vampire of herb....just sucks it dry.
