Probably the best thing about it is pretty big hits from just a very small dab, super clean taste as well.

I'd say big hits #1 strength...flavour is probably is gonna come from your material..id say almost more vapor than a regular oil rig...No idea on herbs I'm a dab guy...id say .1 to .2 grams of oil produces a huge hit...I've seen on vids online that guys are using same (.1 to .2grams of herb) but not getting the same thick cloud I'm getting with the oils / shatters

The carb cap with oils works great, i do rec. getting the Nail v4 w/ carb cap or the Flower (Apollo) heater, depending on use. I dont think you can carb cap the Dabmaster (correct me if im wrong), and this makes it totally worth it for oils. Now you can also use them for either or but def. best results for their intended purpose. As for that kryogenic glass, please post results if you end up getting one. Otherwise i will be getting one in July and can give a comparsion to the Coldwall as well.

Thanks! Will do. I'm tempted by the kryogenic glass piece, but since I need a kit too, I think I'm going to get the 45 mm Cold Wall Master Kit with v4 Nail and Carb Cap to start and maybe get that as a second glass piece later, since it looks crazy. I'd be very interetested to see your results.

I've been phasing down flower usage for concentrates in general, so idk if I'm going to get the Apollo, though it would be nice to have one eventually, possibly. I don't like the idea of the Dabmaster, I'm the type who likes to have separate rigs for each anyway. I think you're correct about the dabmaster not taking a carb cap, as its not an option to buy carp cap with dabmaster on the sublimator site.

I'm just using a sublimator eliminator right now, which works pretty decently for a Torch unit, at least for Oil with the carb cap. The nice thing about it is that it heats up in no more than 30 seconds. However, it's definitely not precise enough for flowers, as it can easily combust, and I really want to see what a full sub can do with oil. Really looking forward to getting my full sub!

You can add on a glass and/or silicone whip mouthpiece for the kyro kit and it only about $50CAD extra, if you did decide to go with that one. As for the Coldwall, its great, with or w/out ice. i also have my sublimator base setup with a carb hole, so i dont have to lift the heater or carb cap to clear it really. However, it looks as tho the newest master kit models and rings have a carb hole included already https://sublimator.ca/product/9-sublimator-glass-tube/ (the black notch in the middle).

As for the electric heater inself, its quite hefty, so personally i like to give it 5mins (tho its probably rdy in 2-3) to fully reach equal temps (i like it can handle .1g dabs tho) other nails cant really handle dabs that big. Its also kind of redundant because the device actually makes very efficient work of your meds.

The flavor and medicating effects are truly above any other device, despite what ever flaws someone may say about it (its big), they never complain about taste. Just think of having your eliminator giving you the perfect consistent temp everytime you dab :D. Its kind of funny, they will usually compare it to some sort of laboratory equipment (so be weary of that). Anyway, the bottom line is its one of the few expensive devices that ive have purchased and not regretted at all. I use it everyday and its built to last.
Please post up pics and what you think of it yourself when you get it!

Thanks! I like the look of the glass mouthpiece on the kyro kit too. I will definitely plan to post pics when I get my sub, though I'll probably wait another month or so to order.

In the interim, if anyone is interested in pics of the Eliminator, I can post some, or answer questions on the unit. Quick impressions are that the unit works reasonably well for dabbing, but I would not recommend it for flowers, as it can quite easily combust.

I must say, .1 grams sound enormous! Is that a typical amount? Am I "doing it wrong" in loading much smaller amounts than this (I think they're smaller, I'm not weighing them)? How much do people usually dose in their sub?

.1g is enormous, and you are not doing it wrong. As far as dosing is concerned, for flower smokers who hardly dab, i will usually only dab them something like 2-3 the size of a pinhead. however i do have friends who dab daily and .1g is not unreasonable for them (they could probly take a gram to the face in all honesty), no probs and this baby doesnt leave a puddle. I think that when it comes to concentrate usage, its easier to say how much you use per week/time. Like 2g per week, etc. And when i was working at the shop, the "daily dabber" would probly pick up anywhere from 2-3g per week, sometimes 2 weeks. But most customers were there for flowers by far.

Almost there...
Do any of the Sub owners also own the Supreme 3 vape?
I would love to hear your thoughts on how they both perform!

The sub has me interested for some reason....
I was so close to trying one but had none of my own bud at the time...

ive only ever used the v3 with flowers but i can tell you that the hits are very similar. Very satisfying and even ABV for both devices and pretty accurate temps wiith both. With that being said, i still think its easier to use the sub, less ways to burn yourself, more protection on the device itself (optional), sleeker design, and its built like a tank. Plus i was never a fan of big torches to heat things (off putting to someone whose never seen it), an electric heater is way more inconspicuous. Finally, i dont know about the Sv3 but doing dabs with any of the heaters is possible with the Sub but the nail v4 esp. has a carb cap, which i feel totally makes it worth it for concentrates.

I forgot to mention that i mainly use flowers, 98% of the time.
Dabs are just here and there throughout the year.

If they are pretty similar, then i am good with the S3.
I like big torches and have never burnt myself, touch wood!
Still want to try one though!

While I agree with you about the similarity of the hits, I find the Supreme V3 to be much easier to use overall. I'd use my Sublimator a lot more if it was less of a PITA, but maybe that's just me. :2c:

ya def, to each their own. like i said, i try to avoid torches if i can. its a bit much for some and the enails are more discreet. and i didnt like the hulking block of metal just waiting to be dropped one day. i think the part you may find a pain in the ass, or at least i do, when comparing the two; is that its much easier to load up a chamber of herb in the Sv3. Where as with the Sub, there is that extra step of putting it in the atomizer then placing the heater on top (assuming your using it WPA style).

My biggest gripe is actually the prep work involved. I don't have the XLR, but rather the original Apollo adapt a bong kit, so my observations should be taken with that in mind. I have to set up a prep area when I use the Sub, which basically consists of a pyrex casserole dish where I pre-heat my Apollo with the atomizer mated. It's just a bigger footprint in my vape space than I care to have, and the two-handed operation is much more involved than using the SV3 (for example).

The only reason I keep my Sub around is because of its ability to hit like a dab from just a pinch of herb while providing some of the smoothest vapor known to mankind. I can't quit that.

Here is my set up. I got a little heavy into modular glass.. this is just the ones I have out now. Check how the vapor goes all the way down before being able to leave the main chamber. Collects a crap ton of sublimate.

Side q.. I've been looking for this question on the forums, but maybe I'm blind. What temp do you guys vale the sublimate at? Ive tried it on 6 and then all the way up. Both work.... lol I can never seem to remember either way cause I get knocked out after a glob or two hahaha

I just use level 9 which is the same I use for concentrates.

I was doing this on and off but I like to mix it with some herb (vapes herb and then stick some sublimate in from the side) so ill put it at the herb level and it vapes pretty well. Probably a bit going back into the piece though at the low temp?

Has anyone ever had their sublimate tested? I saw a thing where a guy tested all the left overs of dabs. Had around 26% cbd I think. Would be nice to see what sublimate has.

I keep seeing sporadic mentions throughout this thread of a possible digital sublimator. Is there going to be one? Anyone know?

They showed one off on Marijauna Man's Youtube channel a long while ago(I think almost two years). I have a feeling that project is either dead in the water or on hold for the next big release. I'd really like to see a Sublimator with a built in thermocouple so you can get exact temp readings instead of relying on resistence changes. XLR connections easily have enough pins and thermocouples would cost under $5 in quantity. To bad they aren't hiring.

I'm probably going to sell this vaporizer if there's no way to disable the auto-off after 1 hour feature.

It takes about 30 mins for the thing to heat-up..
And maybe if it beeped or something to tell me it had turned off it'd be okay, but the fact I have to set timers to remind myself to turn it on and off is just a joke for a product at this price point.

Does anyone have a solution? Otherwise i'm going to have to sell :(

I use a WeMo to reset my Evo every half hour, so that might be an option for you. My Sub doesn't have the shutoff, so I consider myself lucky.

This was just posted, but i think it still may be some help for your applications http://www.instructables.com/id/Sublimator-LCD-touch-screen-mod/ - Apparently the guide also instructs you how to turn off the "auto-off" feature as well as explaining the lcd upgrade. Im sure your could extrapolate the info you needed or at the very least use it as a resource. I have not personally read through or completed the process so forgive me if im not more helpful.
