I have an out of warranty Solo with a battery that only lasts 2 or 3 sessions. It is the kind that can heat and charge on the solo charger. I was curious, if i just rip out the battery and put it back together can i heat it with the 9v charger? and use it like a plug in vape?

I am thinking about buying a second solo and resigning this one to living on a table to stay plug in.

I hate portables and find no use for them!
Plug-ins are way more powerful and trouble free.

The SOLO I like because you charge it with a GIZMO (@OF) and it last a long time.

For me it's like a tool.

VERSION 3 with a flat body would be nice just to mix it up.

Collecting portables is a sickness like gambling or drinking Hard LIQUOR.

SOLO is simple and gets the job done.

Wut?

Nope, I just tried it with my 'new one'. 9 Volts makes it try to charge the battery that's not there. No PA mode as before with the same PA supply I routinely use with older models.

Best plan is to leave what's left of the battery in there? Until you kill it completely you should be OK for a session or two.

Or replace the battery (PIU?) and soldier on, of course.

Vapes R Great
Alright so how many long time Solo/Air users have NEVER broken a glass stem???
All this talk of broken stems had me wondering
I can't be the only one. I am about six years I think now. Never broken one. The solo was my first real vaporizer I bought. Upgraded to the air when it came out and also bought an extreme q. Gave my old solo to a good friend. The extreme q sadly died on me (the fan) and I never got to getting it repaired.

So I have an old power adapter laying around which I guess is useless now if I buy a new Solo??

That's a shame they changed that it's nice to have true pass through operation. Kinda wish I kept my first Solo now haha.

Also are the newer models supposed to have better air flow than the old ones??

Any Solo gurus who have both that can comment on this? My old model solo was before they changed the oven to stainless. I can't remember the model number.

Hope Arizer comes out with with solo 3.0 soon The legacy must live on!

I have had a Solo for 4 years and have only broke 3 stems. After I got the Vatra Solo case that I mentioned in the previous page, I havent broken any. And im with you on Airizer making an improved version of the solo. Longer battery life, quicker heating up, digital temp control for exact temps would be some things id like to see as well as the ability to turn off the auto shut off function.

I haven't broken a stem in a long time. Now when I work in the garden and have my Solo I use my @Ed's TnT wooden 3 inch WonG. Over the last 3 years I've broken probably 4 glass stems. Those are pretty good odds compared to some.

I've broken a couple of water tubes and a bubbler does that count?

Edit
After buying cheap glass it's hard spending s lot on something that may break like a $300 bubbler. If a $35 bubbler breaks no big deal. My water tubes that I broke were the authentic pinnacle pro micro shower watertools when not on sale around $100 a piece. Luckily I bought a few when they were on sale a while back for $55.

I have never broken a stem for my vaporizers. I have broke one bubbler though. Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.

I had a great session with an Ed's stem last night. I think I have my technique just about mastered. I go up two steps, let it warm up for a good while and draw real slow.

Damn thing is kicking my ass in a serious way. Last night it made me fall asleep at my computer. The vapor is hot two steps up. I think it would work decently at the same temp or one higher just as long as I inhale slowly. I will try that next time.

My Solo is not working (when I plug it in all 7 lights start flashing and it is not charging). I have tried the battery reset method to no avail. It wacontacted the seller (Aroma-Tek) purchased it from Aroma Tek (and I would have to send the unit to them for repair.(ontop of $15 for shipping). Does this sound like a battery issue? For'$65.00 I am not sure if I should send it in or purchase a battery (and install it myself).

My Solo is not charging (all 7 lights flashing). Solo not charging (all 7 lights flashing). Woul

My Solo is not working (The issue referenced in earlier posts/flashing seven lights-not charging). The unit is still under warranty with Aroma-Tek; however the warranty does not cover batteries. For this they charge $45.00 in addition to $15.00 for shipping. I know I can purchase a new battery for a lot less. Should I try installing a new battery before sending it in? Does my issue sound like its the battery?

If Aroma -Tek doesn't include batteries in the warranty, that's lame. The battery is warrantied for 1 year through Arizer's warranty. Arises will honor any Solo warranty as long as it's authentic.

Often folks wonder about Aroma Tek as a vendor. I will remember the no battery that they include in their guarantee. Folks sometimes it's not worth it trying to save $20 or $30 on a Solo. I remember Aroma Tek was selling Solos for $120 at one point. Not sure how much you spent?

Save yourself a head ache and buy through FC sponsors. I buy through @PuffItUp and @PlanetVape a lot.

I've just got my second solo after using the first one for 3 years.

Overall I'm satisfied, although the battery died after around 14 or so months of use...

My previous unit was M1A the current one is M1H, but I don't see many visible differences. The lights seem much brighter but that might be due to the above-mentioned power issues with old unit. I think also the customs-stealth flayer inside got an overhaul. Now it's in color and on glossy paper, before it was a black-on-white regular paper.

You might want to check the SNs of both units with Arizer. Bright lights are a tell tell sign for counterfeit Solos (and Airs) and I never had a Solo battery die within 14 months. Since I now know there a fakes on eBay, my future purchases will be from know vendors like PIU and PV.

SOLO Vaporized Cannabis is my Best Medicine
Feeling down today. Consoling myself with a little Solo time. May be a long time before weed is ever made legal at the Federal level. Only Bernie Sanders wanted that. Too bad the media threw another monkey wrench into the political process by calling the nomination before California had even voted.

Oh well, now I can flip a coin for the general - heads I get the war monger and tails I get the bat shit crazy moron. America and the world deserves better.

(The democratic convention will be fascinating as Bernie refuses to quit-the revolution continues.)

Solo on people.

No need to do that, your friends here can do it for you. Glad to help out......

I heard that while HH has never broken one, he did lose one one time. But when he got back home again there was a stem in the Solo box.........which he, of course loaded and used (still not knowing what happened to the original). Only next day, when he checked again because the story seemed so incredible and all.....yep, another new spare was in the box. Not only has he never broken one, but he lost one and has a free spare as backup right now........maybe a lifetime supply for all we know.

Anyone else hear that story?
