Wow, that's some dedication buddy! Good luck on giving up the nicotine- you won't regret it!!!

Just curious as to why you're choosing the glassy over the Woody? The Woody is far more durable, but with the same function as the glassy. It would just be shame for you to go through all this hard work and money juggling, just to get your new glassy Vapcap and drop and break it... For the difference of $10 you could get a virtually indestructible, timeless vape!

Just my two pence tho bro, you won't be disappointed with the glassy!

Peace
Your probably right, but in the end, the lower I can get the sticker price, the happier my wife is. Ten bucks might not seem like much to some, but my wife and I have bought a house over the last year, and we have 4 kids, and I'm on a fixed income. So I hafta go with my cheapest option, and the cheapest option for ti is the glassy. I already have an xl extension mouthpiece kit, if I break the glass I'm think I can rig up something on my own...sorry if I'm rambling..damn vapcap works really well..

Ah fair one, I understand your predicament...

Perhaps if you explain to your wife how this vape will be the last vape you ever buy, and that if you drop and break it, it will cost another $10 (or ~$30 for a wood sleeve), she may just see things from your point of view....

Actually, fuck it, if the only reason you're not getting a Woody (aherm) is because of the cost, il send you over 10 bucks so you can get on that beautiful durable wood- I luckily don't have kids yet, and my girlfriend has no ring on her finger either (thank god!)

If you're interested, pm me and I can send via PayPal. Spread the wood guys

Peace

Has anyone received their OmniVap preorder yet? I know I was one of the first to order when they went live on his website. George said they were almost ready a couple weeks ago, so I'm just wondering if anyone has any updates so I don't have to email George and waste his time!

Its posts like these and others i have seen on fc that make this forum so special. How often do you see people offering to help others on an internet forum?!!

Back on topic .. been lusting for a ti woody mouthpiece combo ... how does the vc compare to vapman? Im a big fan of the little guy.

Ok, I have done some light sanding on my glass OG vapcap and mine is still air tight with the cap on. I suppose I just have a glass body and metal tip that just don't mate well. I can get tiny clouds but nothing like the videos I have seen. I feel that if I could just pull a tiny bit of air through the tip this thing would work great...but mine just does not work at all really. I am a pretty seasoned vaporist and have some experience with butane vapes. I think I could get the technique down pretty fast with a properly functioning device.
Can one of you take some good pictures of the grinding and sanding required to make a glass OG vapcap function correctly? How much of the tip do you grind? What grit sand paper is best? Do you sand "Air channel grooves" into the glass or grind it evenly?
I had planned on upgrading to an Omnivap once I got the technique down but this little OG has me discouraged. I guess I'll just go hit Vapman and sulk lol :ugh: Can someone post pictures of the sanding modifications required to make an ill fitting OG vapcap work? Mine has 0 air flow around the cap as is. I would like to get this little guy up and running!

I love VM but for few reasons VC get my preference.

While they both can give big fat mouthfull of vapor or light tastier hits depending on the use of the torch:

- vapcap gives a reliable feedback (the click)
- VC vapor path 99%-100% cleanable, iso cleanable (wood body is the only part that you cannot get totally neutre to taste by cleaning thoroughly with iso but it get very little condensate (unless you burn the load, do not own it to be sure 100%)
- VC is easier/faster to load
- dynastash is classier and thinner than the egg ;)

Both are more than well finished.

The "complexity" and the precision of the build in VM is unbeaten though (vc is younger but on the same perfection path), also there is still not an official VC station even if you can play with some mech mod and make a portable one for cheap, yes this last reason is also relevant!

Wow, thank you for the incredibly generous offer! I don't have a PayPal however.
I do have my og glass vapcap ..I guess it would make more sense to save up and wait till I can get the woody.heh. Sigh.

Nice setup! :)

It is great to see a side by side comparison of the Ti Glassy with the XL Codenser and Mouthpiece and the Omnivap.

Both are beautiful and have a subtle sophistication about them, but the slight differences in the body, length and mouthpiece result in a very different look.

Thanks for sharing. I must say that I never realized how much more petite and stealthy looking the omni is compared to the glassy. Yes, 17mm does make a difference.

Could you give a comparison of the Ti Glassy and the Omnivap?

if I match the same condenser lenght my OV can work nearly if not the same as Glass one. Glass one cannot match any other draw configuration than the factory one, this is basically the main difference beside obvious differences caming from material (glass shatter/titanium is strong)

Glass will be more expensive in the long term as 1 fall over 2/3 is 10usd :)

Only 2 things I like more in the glass one, first is the xl version already online, OV need a special xl condenser, and second thickness, titanium body is thinner. I am serching for some leather to cut him a punk shirt (also glass surface is smoother than anything else)

Right, well the only other thing we could do is I contribute $10 to George's website, and tell him it's for you. If we email George/Matt first to ok it, and then they can be on the lookout for your order and my contribution. That way not even your wife needs to know exactly how much your vape cost

If you'd rather the glassy, no worries! But I love wood, and glass breaks easy. Your choice though buddy, but the offer is there :peace:

@mrbonsai420 That doesn't sound right, but before you get into sanding it down etc, a few things:

- how is your avb coming out? Is it still green or toasted, or black? (I'm not being condescending, just trying to find out what's going on.

-how are you loading the bowl? I find a loose pack, just scooping some up from my grinder without really tamping down works best for me.

-what torch are you using? Different torches heat the device differently and produce a different session. My single flame turbo takes slightly longer to heat up but seems to heat more thoroughly and produce better clouds than my triple flame.

-how are you drawing on it? How fast are you drawing, and are you using the carb hole (I assume yes because you mentioned not getting any airflow under the cap).

I find with my OG, it takes 2 consecutive heat cycles generally to produce good clouds. It takes time for the glass bowl to gain enough heat. Could I suggest perhaps not sliding the cap fully to the end, leave a mm gap to see if you get better airflow, although if I'm honest, with my finger covering the carb, a barely get any airflow either, but my OG does produce clouds... I don't really cover the carbhole, just sometimes feather it.

Hope we can help get you those clouds you deserve
Peace

Thanks for the comparison! I would like to see an xl Omnivap with a longer titanium body. How does the thinner titanium body affect things versus the thicker glass body? The glass on my OG isn't what I would think of as thick...pretty thin actually. Out of the two which one is the one you use the most? And which do you like the most?

Your welcome :)

OV is my favorite (i double his leght with a mflb glass stem and tubing to seal when I want it).
Even if the hand feel of the glass body I prefer it in my not thin hands/fingers this is not enough to stand titanium comparison and the possibility to tune draw to my preference in seconds. About how much use this is difficult, OV rarely leave the house and VC I use the most out of home. At home was OV 100% before xl condenser and wood mouthpiece, but at home I have logs toowhich I use mostly, but I also vape mainly at home soooooo

The ti glassy is 65, the woodie is 80, that's 15 bucks more unless I'm missing something..? You have convinced me though..I want wood. Again, I very much appreciate the offer, but I will figure it out on my own.

Update: Convinced the wife to nix the three day waiting period. So I'm trying to sell my ecig setup locally..as soon as I do it's orderwoodytime!

Yeah! That's what I'm talking about! A leather coat for a glass body.

I see so many possibilities going in this direction.

Leather coats would offer some cushion, protection from breaking, not to mention a whole new modular look and feel. Rustic handstiched styles to sleek and modern.

Andreaerdna, a leather coat is a GREAT IDEA!!:luv::love:

Antispleen. I think the Ti Woody in Blackwood or cocobolo is $75. If you choose the double crown option you pay an extra $5, hence the $80.

I just had a look at George's website and the option element is still likely being configured. Can't not choose the optional crown right now.

Sweet Lord, why did we not think of this earlier??? In fact, a leather sleeve would be great for the Vaponic too (sorry to go off thread).

I just find generally glass (without water) tastes noticeably better than anything else, but when you're high you tend to drop things.... I've already gone through 3 vaponics, as the are all glass.

A leather pimped out OG Vapcap would be something else! Great idea @Andreaerdna !

My vapcap is holding up better than I expected it to with the crack in it. I'll be happy to put the new body on when it gets here, I'll also have an omnivap and leopardwood dynastashER to play with.

I've moved the o ring on the xl condenser down to the carb hole to control airflow for now, need to get some more reliable lighters and make a wind guard like @phattpiggie did to make vaping outdoors easier.

In a way I'm glad all the new/custom options aren't up on the site yet, not seeing them all in one place is the only thing stopping me from adding loads of pretty things to my order

To load it I am sucking it up like I do with the Underdog or Milaana but I have also tried loose scooping it in.

ABV is slightly brown after 1 try, brower after 2 , ABV is black when I remove it after several tries. Not much vapor though. I feel that if I could even get a little air flow around the cap with the carb covered that I would be getting vapor. But since no air whatsoever can be pulled through this Vapcap I don't see how it would work theoretically?

I have 2 torch lighters and 3 real butane torches. The 2 lighters are both single flame but get the job done with all of my butane vapes. I have little single flame torches and huge vector torches too. The vectors would be way overkill so I just tried the single flame torch lighters and the smaller real torch, same ones that work great with the Vapman and Daisy.

I have tried every degree of covering the hole, but I think the real problem is the fact that it is 100% air tight when you cover the hit hole. As in you can not pull any air whatsoever through the vapcap with the carb covered, are they all like that? It seems like the only way it would produce good vapor would be for a small amount of air to travel around the metal cap, through the weed, and into your lungs. With an airtight cap it just seems like it would barely produce any vapor at all. Which is exactly what is occurring.

So my question to you guys is, when you cover your carb hole 100%. Can you pull ANY air or vapor through the device? I cannot. So how to I make this particular device work? I was told that I may have to do some grinding or sanding to get it to work at all but no one seems to be able to offer any specifics on the necessary "Sanding" that needs to be done.
I understand defective products make it out into the wild, I'm just trying to figure out if mine can be fixed or if it needs to be retired to the junk drawer?

If they are all air tight caps on the OG and it only works by the air swirling around the back side of the screen with no actual air flow through the weed, then mine is fine and that just means I don't know how to use it I guess? :hmm:

Can anyone explain the benefits of the xl condenser for a ti woody and if it's worth it?

Also does the ti woody with the XL condenser fit in the storage tube?

Also should I get anything else with my order? Such as the hemp or extra one rings?

Think im going with the blackwood.

Thanks.

I'd get some o rings just in case, I've been wrapping hemp fibre around cotton bud sticks and dipping in iso to clean my vapcap

My understanding is putting the xl condenser mp on a woody makes it too long for either, it only fits minus the mp. You need to get a short body woody which I'm hoping to do soon. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.
