what is to fix with the adapter ?
I'm only passing along what I've read, that @Green Kiwi (?) and others had to modify the base to get the adapter to fit. I think it has to do with the 2 inclined ramps that engage into Mighty/Crafty housing, they need to be shaved a little.
I guess yours is fitting okay?

Ok I gotta say this thing is awesome. I'm ripped. I've been very unscientifical. I haven't checked the timeoff timer, not did I count how many bowls I used with it (over the course of a few days). My battery is now blinking. I'll go home and charge it today.

It really is amazing.

They got mine yesterday and acknowledged it with form emails today, and a link I can use to check its status.

The only status I want is to hear a replacement is on its way to me. Fingers crossed that happens real soon

That's what I thought, that they were supposed to notify when they received it. But I messaged them Tuesday when they received it and they messaged me back saying "once it has been received you'll be contacted within 5-7 business days". However this conflicts with your experience as well as what I was originially told... i don't want to be a pest but I'm probably gonna message them again just to make sure tjey have it.

Does everyone here have the sides of the chamber scratched, is this normal? I dont remember if it came like that, but I think it might be due to the edges of the screen that fits in the chamber, sometimes to edges are scratchy. I dont think its a concern but was interested to know if this contributes to the wear and tear.
i was wondering if you guys knew a way to clean the metal strip around the inside of the chamber. i dont know if i did something wrong and now im going to get vapor induced lock jaw, but the iso im using doesnt seem to be getting the brown tinge to dissolve... is this normal?

Good to see you're happy with the vape I recommended :)

They found it, These bastards have the nerve to try and charge 130$ when everyone else is getting theirs replaced for free :mad:.

"The immediate warranty concerns can be fix but you may have issues in the future. Our trade-in is offer is $129.00 for a new device."

Any advice?

Rip a little piece off, add some water, will clean your bowl to look good as new. I only used it on the sides, didn't clean the bottom of the chamber with it or anything like that (wasn't that dirty either), my sides were caked on. I may have a photo somewhere in this thread of a before and after of it, but it really does work like magic. Run it for a session or two after to burn off anything if you're worried about that.

I stupidly the first time heated my Mighty first, prior to cleaning......don't do that! LOL. Thought I had melted ME to my walls but really nothing happened at all just a big sizzle.

Edit: I only have a before pic in the thread, but it looked almost brand new after I cleaned it....was pretty damn dirty.

I would ask them what you are getting different by spending $129. If you don't spend $129 do you get a new 2 year warranty on another older model unit?

I'm pretty sure if i don't spend 129$ they aren't going to do shit, I highly doubt they can fix broken plastic parts on the unit itself. What I'm not sure about is whether it resets the warranty. But fuck that, i don't want a warranty if its not good for anything.

I already sent them back a lengthy message stating that these problems occurred with normal use, that they acknlowedged product flaws by releasing the update done, etc. I also mentioned that I know 'people' (you guys) who have gotten new units multiple time etc, meanwhile I send mine in once and they want 129$? I feel slighted to say the least. They haven't replied yet.

You won't get a thing unless you pay. You can also refuse to pay and just hope they fixed whatever they had to. Snb warranty service is complete garbage and I've gotten banned numerous times mentioning in this thread "for company bashing"

Well, that doesn't seem to be true for everyone. Really seems to be hit or miss. But they still implied if I don't pay("The immediate warranty concerns can be fix but you may have issues in the future."), they still are going to repair something, the question is what? The housing is all chipped up and stuff. I don't think they can repair that?

For those that have the capsules does it work more efficiently when the material is loosely filled or lightly to a medium tamped down?

Edit: Whats the temperature difference you guys are getting between no capsule and capsule to get the same experience/vapor production?

Im on a break now, just collecting information, feedback is much appretiated.

Someone in the Crafty thread had the same issue a while back. I think they opted not to pay and were sent back their original cracked body with new internals. Not sure if the battery was replaced or not.

Interesting, thanks for the insight. Do you remember around when it was posted so I can have a look? I need the new updated unit with the better housing, my current one is dilapidated and cracked. I see so many people saying they got it, don't know why I'm the exception.

it's storz and bickel, thats their malpractice. it's not a matter of who they prefer to treat better than others.

I just had a look at some of your posts from a while back ago. What ended up being the resolution, if any? It doesn't let me browse your profile or else I would check there.

long story short i caught them in their own malpractice. I warrantied my unit for noxious fumes, they invoiced me a fee of $60 for casing/cleaning fee. I sent them my previous warranty invoice (which was free including cleaning and casing), they than proceeded to claim that the warranty would cover broken plastic but not cleaning fee. At that point i wasnt having their bs so i just asked for my unit back. I received a (less)dirty unit and new casing and the smell was now gone. I e-mailed the company that certifies them TUV SUD about their malpractices and the materials used in these things(plastic? i mean comeon, this is a $400 device it should be sustainable not breaking away within 4 months) but no response from them. idk. the company practices seem shady and i will never do business with snb again.

Hmm. So they sent you back a refurbished unit, not your original one? Is there any literature that says the housing is covered by the warranty so I can show them? I'm going to call them tomorrow morning until they answer the phone.

Wait a second....weren't cracked/chipped casings being REPLACED for free? How "used" is your Mighty @nb8475 ? How old is it? I perhaps read too fast, but from what I can read from this, they are offering you a new casing perhaps but a new Mighty is due to the batteries being fried? Perhaps that's why they say if you don't pay it, you may have issues down the road?

Regardless, I've had outstanding CS from S&B (n=1) and can't imagine a better portable than the Mighty for my needs. Both of mine keep holding up strong!

1 of 2 muzzmods can RIP (integrity lost between the glass and high temp putty due to resin/oil)! Time to try #2 which is MUCH more beefier with more putty. The issue starts when twisting the tight muzzmod off the Mighty, if you don't use much putty, you need to grab by the glass and that starts the weakening process.

They are telling you that you have a 'free' option, which means they'll replace the housing at minimum. Apparently they see battery weakness and are suggesting not only that those be replaced, but maybe some cleaning, as you had mentioned earlier that you didn't bother to clean it before sending it in. From what I've read here, folks who send in dirty units are often on the path to less-than-optimal response from service.

You won't get a thing unless you pay. You can also refuse to pay and just hope they fixed whatever they had to."
This is not accurate. You refused to pay and got something; a working unit back in the mail. S&B does not owe anyone 'new' replacements. They are essentially only obligated to give you a functional unit through the warranty period, assuming no abuse of course.

i wasnt having their bs so i just asked for my unit back. I received a (less)dirty unit and new casing and the smell was now gone.
So, you refused to pay and they 'fixed what they had to'. Sounds like you have a functional vape.

I've also enjoyed great cs from this company, through 3 warranty claims; even ponied up for a battery once, but I'm still on the same warranty ride and loving my Crafty-now-Mighty.

Sorry bout the muzzmod, though at least I can feel less lonely, as I've only really seen one other member (now you also) reporting the glue failure besides me (2x, after lots of high temp use). In my opinion as an experienced cabinet maker, yes the torque is a factor, along with the different rates of expansion/contraction during wild heat swings that the glass, epoxy and 'plastic' that comprise the mod are subject to. Perhaps this is an item that should only be installed/removed when completely cool, this would put less stress on it.
I'll add that I don't feel any health risk from this 'glue failure'; it remains inert, just a little separated from the glass. I'm back to simply attaching a tube to the Mighty mouthpiece. The water piece stays a little cleaner longer...
...AND the dosing caps, while they have nothing to do with the muzzmod topic, seem to boost the experience, so that's a new treat. I'm starting to think there's something to the idea that they allow a little more convection, and less conduction. Not sure how that can be confirmed, but I'm liking the taste and vape quality! The sessions seem to have a more definite ending and don't devolve into those few non-tasty hits.

@nb8475 and @radiant34

you guys are having problems with USA or germany S&B?

I heard that the German is more helpful, I am thinking of sending my phone to them and then request delivery in the US
