@JyARz I contacted Antonio, the guy behind the hemp plastic for 3D printing and made mention of your great product. Let's see if we can make this help Jyarz happen quickly... May I be first in line for each of every size as soon as they brecon available in hemp printed plastic!!!

For me tep, I know you have been enthusiastic about hemp technology but I honestly feel this is a step backwards...

What I LOVE about the current product line is that all plastics are recycled from milk jugs. In my mind, that holds more value than making a product out of hemp [or any other novel material] just because it is available.

I'm curious Aldo's position on this.
I'm all for hemp products but not when it replaces recycled products. I'd also hypothesize it would also add to the end cost for consumers, and I would not be willing to pay more just to tote nonrecycled hemp.

Just my 2 cents, I'm sure others feel differently.

I think I need to research this option more to weigh-in. Adding to the price is not an option...I do agree there. And a big value of the HDPE is that it's slick almost waxy which makes it very easy to clean, which adds to the odorless value of a JyAR over pretty much every other container that I've seen out there...bare glass is good in this respect but it's unprotected and doesn't have the protection from light and shocks.

Question for the community:

Can anyone point me to the list of top selling portable vaporizers (for flower, concentrates, etc)? I'm researching a potential product offering.

Thanks for any leads/links.

Not sure of list but there are youtube videos from vapefiend of the "top portables" of year, but its very subjective. Im sure top selling would be pax, mighty/crafty. Not necessarily the best with the pax but it is probably the most well known amongst the regular consumer.

I had an issue with my Satchmo which has actually been going on for months if not over a year at this point... which I've been far too lazy to resolve. The lid would sometimes sit fine, sometimes I'd come back and the lid had popped off and wouldn't seal properly. It finally bothered me enough to message Aldo about it, and he got back to me pretty quickly letting me know it was one of the "bad batch" Satchmos from a long time ago (before he added the little felt circle on the side). He had me send shipping info to the support email and had my new Satchmo shell in the mailbox yesterday. Gave it a quick wipe, threw my glass from the old one to the new one, and it's perfect. Thanks a bunch Aldo!! Could you recycle the old casing if I cleaned it up and sent it back? I noticed you didn't mention what to do with it in our communication.

First, I'm glad we got this resolved. And as for recycling, I can't re-use it but it can go into your recycling bin. My production vendor gets it's stock material from a supplier of recycled HDPE so it would be complicated to get this one unit back to that firm.

Did not want to give impression preferring one over the other, using recycled plastic Definitely always be a big plus. Maybe offering the possibility of hemp printed ones would be welcomed by customers who are not so fond of any plastic, would possibly also attract customers purely as a novelty item?

When it comes to popular vapes, I would say look into the longest portable vaporizer threads ;-) that for sure is one of the fastest ways to see what is popular around these woods

I will keep the hemp "thread" in mind for a project that I'm researching at the moment. Might eventually make sense as JyAR option as well.

Clever thought...as to vape popularity. I'll add that as a data point.

Thank you.

I was about to launch our IndieGoGo campaign toward funding the production of a new larger size JyAR. I've decided to pull the plug. There's been something holding me back for over a year and its finally become clear to me what it is. Up to a certain size, JyaRz offer a unique set of values that make the extra expense worth it. A lot of that value relates to the ability to offer a container that is designed for smell-proof portability. When portability isn't a value, I think the extra cost of buying a JyAR diminishes rapidly. There are many good options for large containers that basically sit on a shelf or table most of the time (Mason:re being just one example (see above).

So .... what next....

I see a very large unfilled need for all sorts of "JyARz" (I use the term very loosely) that support the odor-proof, storage and transport and consumption of cannabinoids. WE are deep into the design of some small, highly adaptable bags. We have in mind a whole series of other related products (more on that once we've made more progress).

For those who have waited so long for a new larger size JyAR I apologize for all the hemming and hawing! All I can say is I hope you enjoy the new products that we'll be bringing to market!

As always I appreciate all the support from all of you subscribed to this thread. I had no idea how valuable this group would prove to be when I signed in a few years ago - amazing!

Aldo, may I suggest one thing, and one thing only in this regard...

Here in Europe (I know this is Fc...Sorry) a lot of people use large papers to make their joints, the still most preferred way of consumption for most here...

I think a classic that is just a bit higher in dimension, as to suite one or several pre-made joints(and I have a feeling it might actually suite a vapcap, and maybe a yokin), is something that is really missing. I know this is the only constructive criticism I ran into introducing Jyarz to my friends.

Keeping my eyes open to those new products.

When talking bags. I think one of the big advantages of my Jyarz is the ability to transport nugs safely... Including safety of the nugs, as in not crushing them.

Let's just say that what you suggest is among the products that we are looking at developing. There are some inexpensive and terribly impressive versions available today - we'd like to do better! Research is underway. Thank you for your input..always appreciated. -Aldo

Aldo, you're missing the facts that jyarz are light-proof and not 'clear'. So, not only do nugs degrade slower, they are also in a jar that when people walk by they're not like "wow, that's a big jar of nugs" lol. I don't think people's requests for bigger jars was because they were looking for portability, I mean who wants to roll around with an oz of nugs?! Don't take this the wrong way, but I think the larger jyarz would have more success than the pouch.

Take care

No offense taken. There are already some good large discreet glass lined containers out there that provide most of the benefits of JyARz (Mason:re being one example). I think JyARz remain more smell proof (for various reasons than anything else on the market) and I think that benefit is most important in "portable" situations...when on the road, traveling, moving about in general. So we plan to create products for "portability" that ensure maximum odor control, smell the greatness when you want to but also have the control to "close the door" when that's appropriate as well. I'm starting to see a lot of products that try to make the bag/carrier smell proof and I think that's both a fools errand (very hard to make that work in a way that isn't very bulky).

I think we have some innovative ideas that the market will adopt...we are researching the options but it's looking promising.

I'd like to drop a suggestion here if I may, I can't remember if I've suggested this before, if I did it would have been a long time ago...

Anyway, something that I really wish I had/could source is a jar (or JyAR) with a glass insert that has a divider in it, so that I could store more than one strain in the same jar, yet keeping the different strains separate. I often have multiple strains on the go at once, and it does my head in having so many little jars bouncing around my house.

It would be nice to have one jar where I could hold four different strains, but without mixing the different aromas. I'm thinking of a glass insert divided into quarters (like a pizza if looking from a birds eye view at the top of the insert. Jeez am I even making sense? Maybe I should draw it.... Lol

Peace

Interesting idea. Are you thinking "pie wedges" inside a Satchmo sized container?

Yes, that's pretty much exactly what I'm thinking buddy!! Just couldn't word it right!

It's something I thought about a while ago, originally just looking for a standard glass jar with the 'pie wedges', but when I first got a JyArz, I thought it would be an awesome design to incorporate- multiple strains in one airtight, smell proof, lightproof, glass lined jar, with the aromas of each strain being preserved!

It would be amazing if you got on this idea (to me, anyway)!

Peace bro

I think you did suggest this a while back...or someone did...I'll keep this in my "hopper", interesting idea.
