I bought this magnet to use with my vapcap but it seems to repel the cap instead of attract it, anyone have an explanation for this?

Not sure but maybe the cap built up some magnetism from use with other magnets.

My :2c:

Both sides?

The magnet should have both North and South polarity. If the cap has been magnetized, it would be repelled by one of the poles and attracted to the other.

Turn over the magnet and try again.:whoa:

yes both sides are repelled. the magnets attract each other fiercely but not to the vapcap.

@DorianGray I've got some rare earth magnets that for some reason do the same, perhaps it has to do with the shape.

The ones I have are square and yours are rectangle so maybe that might be the correlation.

no idea though.

perhaps the poles are screwed because there's six sides? My cap only sticks to the sides.

Maybe someone will chime in with a science lesson about magnets...

I like the contrast my Burly Ti has with my Brown Mallee bowl. What a lovely combo indeed & it feels like a premium upgrade from the OG. You can never have too much wood they say

What a gorgeous combination! That Vapcap is beautiful! I hope George will release Vapcap container tubes for the XL Vapcaps. He isn't selling them currently is he?

Oh it certainly is considerably more attractive in the flesh @Hyphy. The matching Ambonya Burl mouthpiece really takes the biscuit though :o . The funny thing is I have had no satisfaction trying my OG through water & really prefer both the Ti & OG dry. This is good as I can define my UD for water use & the Ti for direct draw.

Missed out on the omnivap. Full price now.
Wish George would have given us some warning, but I guess you snooze you lose. I'm holding out hope it's just a fluke of migrating to new server-side software.

I'm with you man. I have my UD next to a D020-D and use it as my main DD. But I basically never use it dry, and always use my (humble) OG VC for direct draw. It's just a fun vape to use, even if it isn't quite as efficient as the UD. Also I find VC incredibly smooth for it's small size. I also love it for travel, my urge to fuck with electric portables is very low lately.

I have not been successful in finding an exploded view of the ty-glassy. My outside glass tube chipped out on the mouthpiece. I ordered a new glass. Now I need to know how it goes together. Help me please.

Yesterday morning a little green envelope arrived home... with all this nicely packed inside:

LorpjEV.jpg

- TiBlackwoody + XL condenser (beautiful 2-toned wood, no clue which type)... I just had to put them together right on, the spin is a great feature and they match beautifully :luv:
- Double barrel TiGlassy body + Fat mouthpiece (I've put the short condenser inside it, so now I have 2 bodies I can swap).
- Spare O-rings + extra Fat mouthpiece for using with the xl condenser
- Degummed Hemp Fiber
- OG VapCap (for a heavy combuster friend, trying to convert him ;))
- Torch lighter (courtesy of @VapCap, thanks George!)

I got to say it is a pleasure to feel the TiWoody in your hands, it is classy as hell and looks really well made...
And after a night and an afternoon of testing... I can assure you this little fella delivers!!!
I've tried it directly, no water filtration, and it produces thick clouds that kick like a mule!!!:brow:

The ABV is so well cooked and so even, it is really impressive. No hotspots at all (I suppose the spinnning feature of the XL condenser helps here).

I've been succesfully using a triple torch I bought in a local smokeshop, heating close to the body of the vape and with great results cloud-wise. I tried a single torch too, but I prefer the triple one as it heats up a lot faster, but I will look for a double one as some of you guys have suggested....

Another thing I've used is the Degummed Hemp Fiber, and following an idea I believe I read in this thread (not sure though) I just made a thin "bedding" at the bottom of the chamber, hoping it helps to keep everything cleaner for a longer time.
I think it might work, as it is turning yellowish and I can't see green particles in the condenser (although I do see some oil condensed ).
I believe the hemp fiber did give some very mild flavour during the first two heat cycles, but after that I haven't been able to feel it again, tasting really clean. I suppose I will change it in a couple of days (or when it gets soaked with oil :ko:). More on the Degummed Hemp Fiber in the Vaping with cotton thread. Here comes a photo:

Been also using the "straw technique" for loading and unloading, and it makes things really easier. I think that the "hemp fiber bedding" helps here, as it allows me to draw harder without fear of having particles in my mouth, just be careful when you blow the abv out and check if the hemp fiber stays in place. ;)

So this is my vaping setup at the moment:

IVEdt3T.jpg

I can see myself getting a Dynastash sometime in the future, but for the meanwhile I got this "black tea-cup" ashtray made of silicone, where the VapCap can sit on/in, reducing the risk of burning anyone or getting damaged. Pretty happy with it, as it only costed 4 euros and seems it will last, again bought in local smokeshop. I had seen another silicone ashtrays on the internet with similar/better characteristics: Tap dat ash, Pulsar Tap Tray ... Just leaving them here because I liked the idea and they may interest anyone. :science:

Overall I got to say I am really loving the unit, and I feel it is a step forward coming from my Vaporgenie Classic aka "Purple Frog".
Some non vaper friends that had already tried my VG (with some issues) have tried the TiWoody too and have definitely prefered this last one... They started puffing clouds easily and got pretty fucking high :ko:

I believe this vape will definitely make me Fuck Combustion, at least when I am at home (I won't be taking it out cause ACAB).
These are some big news for me as I wasn't able to abandon joints with my VG, and my lungs (and pocket) will be very happy :leaf:

I'll keep posting impressions and photos as I try the other combinations: TiGlassy / TiGlassy + XL condenser & MP... And sometime soon I plan on getting a bubbler, so expect me throwing some pics (even vids?) from that combo too :sherlock:

I want to thank George for making this awesome product. Your hardwork, dedication and attention to detail is something we can all learn from
And I also want to thank you FCers, for posting such informative and unbiased reviews and making me take the plunge! I owe you a lot!

This is just the beginning guys

Peace!

Does anyone know of an air tight storage tube that will hold a Ti Woody with an XL condensor and mouthpiece? What is the length of that combo? I'm giving it to my friend as a gift and I'd really like to include a case to carry it safely.

The regular Ti Woody is 3 5/8" long and the Ti Woody with the XL Condenser and Mouthpiece measures 4 1/4" long.

Tubes can be purchased on Amazon and Lee Valley and probably lots of other places, but maybe something like these might do the trick:

https://www.amazon.ca/10-Pack-6-inc...ie=UTF8&qid=1464728497&sr=8-69&keywords=Tubes

Missed out on the omnivap. Full price now.

I guess that it was a migration thing.... the Omnivap is back at the pre-order price, so you haven't missed it quite yet.

OK, I have only tried my OG glass Vapcap twice now and twice I haven't gotten a hit? I got the hang of the vapman pretty quickly but this thing eludes me. I heat it for about 2 seconds after I hear the click and it seems with hard or soft draw I get nothing? At the end, the weed look spent, burnt even. But no clouds? What am I doing wrong, Do I need to lessen my draw even more, like barely pull through it at all?

Also had some Dyna-mail today  New Blackwood sleeve for my TiWoody + XL condenser / mouthpiece, and a TiGlassy.

Must say the wooden mouthpiece is great, makes spinning and heating much easier - and feels really nice to use. The MP wood is a completely different colour in natural light, my fluorescents seem to turn it red!
