When the moment is right, I will try a reducing chamber....
from the description by @Baron23 it appears it would be great to work with.
Today I got endless bags from a strain called Tutti Fruity
swq042.png
. The EZ valve was filled to level at the line where the "funnel" appears. After 10 bags the vapor became weak and wispy. I sprinkled in a nice pinch of kief and things started all over again only with denser fog.
I just finished my 4th bag of ABV/Kief..... and my reaction to the 4th bag was to come in here and sing praise to the Volcano.
Besides... I had to get out of there, before I did yet another bag:ko:.

Yes when the time is right Vitolo the reducer shall apear. Tbh the reducer is what has really sparked my interest in the volcano again. In fact I'm looking to buy a new volcano and a mighty. I sold my volcano digit a few years ago, didn't use it enough to justify the price. All of a sudden outtta nowhere though these dosing capsules and reducer come out and really do look like a game changer especially for the "Lone" vaporist. So I need a volcano now! I also have needed a good travel vape for far too long and the mighty is looking pretty good. Can you just switch out dosing capsules between the Volcano and the mighty or are they different sizes?

This is not going to be a cheap purchase though... $1000 on S&B for the volcano w/easy valve and the mighty alone. Thats without any extras or the sales taxes. It'll probably be around $1300 to $1400 in the end for both vapes loaded with accessories. I'd like to hear feedback from all, good or bad, what do you think of this sort of investment on these two vapes? Crazy or crazy like a fox?

Hey yall! New here! Really, because I hoped to find an answer to this!

I've been off the Bong (7 years) and on a Volcano for a few months now. I find that my lungs can breathe *much* deeper but that I still cough a lot and get irritated, and after really feeling it out, I'm pretty sure it's due to extended *dryness* in my throat instead of the fact that the vapor itself irritates me.

ETA (I smoke 2-3 bags a session my self, normally 3 times a day.)

I just discovered options for water filters, but I haven't yet looked hard enough at options for the Volcano, and I figured I'd come here and ask about the best one... if there is one?

Thanks!

There's gotta be a way to connect a hydratube, maybe it fits on top the easy valve? Just have to hold it.

Can you attach Turkey bags to the easy valve? I'm interested in the new filling chamber, but I like replacing the solid valve with the Turkey bags, since they are already tied at the top, and silent, and buying a new $10 bag every few weeks would get old. I know people have replaced the Easy Valve bags with the Storz-Bickel tubing; any reason it couldn't be done with the Reynolds Turkey bags?

So is the new easy valve chamber with the capsules more efficient with your flowers, or what are the benefits people are seeing with it?

The capsules seem to be the same capsules for either unit. Slightly cheaper option for you: Order the Volcano Digit (without the Valve Set) and the Mighty from PuffitUp with the FC discount, and you'll come in at $765 for the Volcano + Mighty (and no tax.) You can then order the new accessories direct from S+B- you need at least an Easy Valve Starter Set, easy valve reduced filling chamber, a set of dosing capsules, the magazine, and liquid pads for dosing capsules for what you're describing. That should cost around $200, and I don't think they charge shipping or tax either. So, just pointing out that you can get a full Volcano + Mighty setup for under $1000. You won't need to spend $1400.

I was wondering how much herbs you guys put into the easy valve chamber?

I find that I can fill a bag with 100-125mg herbs (tested thc 20%) and heat on 6 (classic) I get 1-2 good bags with fantastic flavor and effect.

When I "FILL" the chamber with 200-300 mg of herbs the vapor is HARSHER not as flavorful. Sure I get more bags...

Remember my Volcano takes MUCH longer to load a 2 foot balloon. Something like 2 minutes.

I get beautiful vapor.

Using the reduced chamber and a DC I put in 100mg and I get 2 bags.

What are your experiences?

Vapinmofo,
Well, damn. Is there no reducer for the solid valve because it has that built-in tamping screen? The stock solid valve oil pads look pretty hefty for one relatively low tol user... Bought Vito's reducer for my buddy, but I guess just because the solid valve is mad easy to use, doesn't mean it's CALLED the easy valve. Oops.

Looks like I need to shell out another $60+ if I want to use easy valve. I really like the solid valve, just wish I didn't feel compelled to load a fuckload in that giant chamber.

I use the solid valve and have no problem loading as little as .05 in the YUGE chamber. I usually load .15 and get 2 great bags and one iffy bag:)

I tend to run about .15 - .20 or so in a regular chamber at a time and it works great. I have found now downside from pulling a chamber if its not complete for vaping the next day.

I'm using the planet vape easy valve water adapter.

It just plugs into where the EV mouthpiece would normally go. Then the bag can be plugged into any 14mm or 18mm female water piece.

I think this is great because it's more portable (take the bag to your water piece anywhere in the house, no need to be hunched over the volcano).

Just noticed that Planet Vape is Canadian. Do they ship to US? Any issues?

They indeed ship to US, and as an added bonus, the prices listed are in CAD, so are significantly cheaper for us Americans. I haven't had any customs assessed from any of my orders.

Can anyone directly compare the Easy Valve with Reducer to the Old Solid Valve? Is the advantage simply convenience of having pre-loaded, pre-measured bowls, or is the Reducer more efficient than the Solid Valve, as I suspect?

Nice lil adaptor. I like it but, at $30 you could buy a cheap hydratube off dhgate.

Wonder why more people arent using a hydratube with the cano?

I think the differance between the reduced easy valve and the easy valve will be nite and day.

However I suspect the differance between the reduced easy valve and the solid valve won't be quite as noticeable and perhaps a little more subjective to the user. I'm sure some OG solid valve users are going to continue preferring there solid valve.

Please note... the camera sees things the eye does not. I thought my EZ Valve Chamber to look sparkling clean.
I like to fill it to the top, to the line where the funnel shaped lip starts.

Never above here
DSC04269.jpg

Depending on the strain, and also dryness of the strain that could be the better part of a gram. A full gram at times.

Now to be clear, I said I "Liked to fill the chamber as described, but I do not a;ways fill it so full.
My average EZ Valve bowl is 1/2 gram as seen here:

DSC04275.jpg

Needless to say, if the herb was older and dryer, this would be of even lower level..
and of this texture herb (Cataract Kush) a full gram of this texture would not fit ... but I likely could have made this bowl a .7 of a gram bowl.
A half gram in this instance was PLENTY!

For me personally, I don't like to be tethered to a GPO (wall outlet).
I usually have my water piece outside.... So I fill a bag and take it outside and use it outside.

Also don't like the idea of being hunched over a table awkwardly each time I want a draw.

It's actually for these 2 reasons I got the volcano over the evo (and the legendary S&B quality of the volcano).

I've used my hydratube with my volcano too and wasn't a fan (no pun).
Hence why I got the PV easy valve adapter.

Different strokes for different folks.
