Similarly unimpressed with the VapeCritics views, it seemed to sway from his usual standard.
I realised I'm probably as biased towards the GH as he is against it - to which I find it almost amusing how much bias he let seep into his 'review'.
Despite any content being 'cool' as mentioned, this was a fantastic overview, and not actually a good review in my mind. But at least he represents his ideas as crazy and as a predicted minority.
And he does go to a decent depth.
A couple of points:
The notches are perfectly fine for temperature fidelity in my experience. It represents a 90° segment (a quarter of the device), and covers an 80°C range. Of course it's tailored to cannabis use, but I've had the most success vaping low temp alternative herbs with it over my other vapes (MFLB, EQ).
Gripes with the silicone mouthpiece are real, but his solution to use it without it is not properly air tight and will scratch the Ti (although it's very hard to see).
This lack of ingenuity results in lesser performance through glass, not by a lot, but I find it noticeable (you can see the difference in a piece due to cloud density discrepancy).
You can use the device natively, easily - at least from a cold start (even if you are super sensitive).
However, it is able to be drastically improved with an accessory (silicone MP, glass stem, right through to waterpipe).
User tolerance to heat and intended usage patterns will dictate the appropriate add-on.
Fair enough, as the device comes in the box it won't be ideal for everyone's usage (neither was my EQ, by a significant margin. With the GH, it's very minor comparatively), I feel this should be mentioned in his review, at least over his personal gripes with colour.
(I definitely want my stealth pen vape to be silver, I guess if you forget about such an important aspect, wanting a generic black look could be tempting).
For the record, out of the box it is a one-hitter (as promoted by the creators).
If you want to session it, or use it in some other fashion, there are millions of ways to do this. Many at no expense. (a basic
garden-hose PET bottle bong would be free for eg.)
In terms of battery use. If you can do 12 bong hits in less than 45 minutes, you need to spend an additional $7, and 10 seconds to swap it when needed.
But keep in mind this consumption is enough to forget those 45 minutes ever happened, so...
Battery life isn't that bad.

Noticeable difference in quality compared to his reviews from brands where you can expect a marketer to be pushing it, due to the distinct lack of quality of the device.
My takeaway from his GH review is:
even though he states outright "I hate this vape", and brings some subtle sass from having to wait for it;
He still mentions a lot of things that I love about this vape.
But it does feel like if Hopper Labs got those devices to him early, he would be all praise.
Also, I want to know the other devices in his portable vape-bong Top 3

If someone remembers what the glass piece is called or can link to one... I think it's like a kaisen adapter or something?
