Yea I've been packing my Mighty full. oh also I'm not sure if this was ever mentioned but my unit stays on Fahrenheit. I don't need to switch it. But I think I do have a minute time off but can't swear on it. Seems fast

glass pipe screen sounds like a great idea

Before you bother, you may find smaller loads in Mighty capsules fits the bill. I tried a half-full cap, and it works for me. Do you have a local head shop? They often carry glass screens. I'd take a cap down to the shop and see what fits. I don't have the right tools to measure accurately. It looks about 11 mm Inside Diameter.

Thanks again. Yes, youre right I should wait for the capsules and try them out. Part of the reason I ordered them today was because I was hoping that the capsuls might take up extra space inside the chamber and probably take less material since it wouldnt be flying all over the place. Needed something with a little weight and wide enough ao that it would reset into place if I put down my unit and then picked it up.I also saw the capsules as convinient.

I have used a regular screen to top the herb but found that if I left my unit laying down the screen would displace and material would be all over the place.

I have even thought about the arizer air mesh bowl screen, that looks like it can work as well, considering its the right size.

I do have a not so local head shop, but what you said may work. Id rather take the unit in and find the right thing instead of ordering online blindly.

I wonder if the material flies around? I would imagine it to be like a vacuum cleaner, with all the material sucked up against the screen? I think the benefit to smaller bowls isn't so that the material doesn't fly around: it is so it concentrates and increases the air pressure through the material. I'm not a scientist, so I could be full of shit.

Youre full of shit, you say?....No,I think youre on to something. Many times after taking the cu off I see plenty of material stuck at that top screen. That might be another reason why I have been getting throat and lung irritation. Maybe Im pulling too hard and all those hot bits of plant materials are making their way in my respiratory tract. I do notice that when I take deeper and harder pulls I have irritation, though the temp remains from 170c-175c. I have ordered a water tool and adapter hopefully that woukd remedy the problem. I will be making edibles until I feel better and retest it.

I have yet to tamp it down actually, since Ive read many conflicting statements.

Actually, thats my idea with the capsule that the material would stay in a smaller space. Do you tamp down the material in the capsule? Would it be good to let the capsule sit inside the chamber and heat up before taking a pull? I can imagine the capsule retains a good amount of heat.

By the way, I just read your signature, its pretty funny.lol

Mighty just came back from warranty as brand new machine! I'm loving the 2.0 version isn't it a big smaller also? Feels alot sturdier I'm gonna handle it with silk gloves from now on I LOVE it and S&B :)
Is there any other portable that works even nearly as good? Haven't been around and cba to study because mighty will be enough for me
One thing i'm bummed about is buying that vapefiend 'fuck your vape'- mod for 40€ or something but can't always win I'm not sure I will even try it on with my new vape.

What your SN? mines 119xx and I believe they started phasing out the 1 min auto shutoffs to the 2 min auto shutoffs around 15xxx, (June 2015).

If the temp isn't staying at F or C , that's not right, so its good its staying! Like @subway13029 said you can hit +- to switch between the two. Mine came C, switched to F, stayed F until one day when I decided I wanted to switch to C because I was curious to what I was vaping at, switch back to F after and it's stayed :)

I like this idea too! The liquid pad only recieves minimal heat, so it probably wont transfer that metallic taste I usually get when I put it in the chamber.

Yea I've never had a weird taste from the pads or a worse draw resistance. The capsules did though.

Got to try a oil in her...mmm...vapes it so good. Just a tiny drop on the liquid pad on top of a thin layer of abv. Oil was completely vaped, shined a light thru the pad and couldn't see any residue and abv was clean as well.

My serial number starts with MY2EKxxx

When the mighty first came out, and according to vape critics review, every time he would turn the unit on and off, it would go back to Celsius. I was just commenting that doesn't happen with mine. Not sure when they fixed it.

How often do you clean your Mighty?
I removed the screen in the CU, and just use a fine screen over my load. I find the CU doesn't get as dirty as before. Since what gets trapped in the CU is usually just the condensed vapor (hash oil, terpenes and the like), I generally let it build up so that I can harvest and reuse this decarboxylated, golden nectar.

Not sure when they fixed it.
Within the 1st 4-5 months of issue. I got one when they first came out. It needed to be replaced due to warranty issues, and the firmware on the new unit stayed on choice.

I use extra screen too, yet I like the taste of a clean vapor

Ahh, I forgot they changed the SN configuration but yours is most definitely a new model, you should time your auto shutoff, for science :p

Yah I bought a mighty from the same vendor as him prolly 2 weeks before and got a MY044xxx sn.
It could be to combat the fake mightys.

Hey people. Just been offered a trade for a mighty on Craigslist and needed a little expert advice. Is there anything I should look out for? Fakes, what serial numbers are new revisions, tell tale signs of defaults?

Any advice would be welcome, I think I've got space in my line up for one (and as its a trade it's easily justifiable) I just don't want to buy a bunk unit.

Cheers people
