What about vegan pu leather? I've saw it advertised for gaming chairs and thought hmm because i never really thought about leather but im 100% never buying belts or sofas made from it. And this year i go vegan too.

So alas when i google i get this: cruelty-free materials that imitate leather

faux leather
pleather
synthetic leather
PU

man-made leather
waxed cotton
imitation leather.

0 interest in a carrying case for my jyarz, of any material personally.

I will agree tho that If you are gonna make a Jyarz that is going to hold a 1 hitter, then its a HUGE missed opportunity to not make it also fit a vapcap.

Ordered a VapCap with an airtight case for testing...agree, looks like a nice thing to be able to carry...should fit but I'll test it to make sure.

Thank you.

Should the actual plastic container smell?

I ordered one from PIU with my order, and when I opened it up and took the glass out, it stank. I pulled the glass and all the other parts out and realized it was the plastic jar itself that smelled. I washed it out several times with soap and water, but it still smells, though much less than it did initially.

To be honest, it smells kind of like old (combustion) pipe resin, so its kind of making me wonder if someone didn't order it, pull all the inside parts out and used the outer plastic shell to transport a dirty slide or something, than washed it out and put all the other parts back in and returned it...

Are you saying the JyAR shell itself has an objectionable odor? That would be odd...very odd. -Aldo

I'm testing the Rambler with the VapCap and the version with the eLiquid option fits and works beautifully. Although I've asked the company if the VapCap (regular - original version) is a bit shorter that might work a little better. impressive little item, thank you very much for bringing it to my attention.

Below is a link to a picture of the Rambler with sample accessories, but note that we'll make a lot of changes as this is a first proto. For one thing I think we'll shift to magnetic closures. We'll likely offer it in Black and Brown leather (sorry to the leather averse crowd...in time we'll have options for you, I assure you).

It has a belt/strap "loop(s)" on the back. I've taken to carrying mine on my belt when I go walking or am working outside...etc...starting to wear it all the time and I have to say its pretty convenient if a little geeky. Totally odor free!

@JyARz nice work getting a VC to test out  Can you post a pic of the inside of the Rampler with the VC/lighter/other-stuff in it for size perspective?

Why didn't I think of that? ....here you go...

But note this thing is going to go through a lot of change. For one I'm pretty sure we'll go with a magnetic closure. We'll likely go with smooth finished leather. We'll likely go with a slightly different stitching pattern and finally we may forego the internal dividers as is they are not all that useful and are time consuming to incorporate.

I took my Jyarz and Firewood 3 on a hiking trip recently and both performed flawlessly. I posted in the Firewood thread too because both products are in the picture. I was stoked to carry my medicine and not be worried about it.

I memorized that quote. Interesting idea. We're laser focused on perfecting the bag's functionality. Then we'll start thinking about "branding" ... appreciate the thought! -Aldo

Ima jyarz noob and just wanna say Jyarz are awesome!! I have a bunch of all of the styles and love em! Keep various grind types in the classics or the chicos makes loading most vapes super easy. Satchmos get the headies! I also love being able to take the glass out and admire Mother Earth's gifts. They can go with you anywhere and your flower is nice and comfy!

Also it helps when a company has superior customer service, Aldo is truly the man and you can tell he wants to take care of his customers! Spreading jyarz love from Cali!

Thank you. We try and sometimes fail...but still try to make it right in the end ;-)

The Rambler testing continues. It's always very enlightening to have a prototype because it always exposes all sorts of little issues that are very hard (for me) to predict when simply envisioning a thing. In this case the protos exposed some fairly major flaws in our thinking. So it's back to the drawing board. But the end product will be significantly better as a result. For example we are going to make it as absolutely small as possible, so in the first design it'll house just one Classic. Then we'll have an airtight container/slot for a variety of pen vapes or glass one-hitters, VapCap etc. Since I've ordered a GrassHopper I have it in mind to make that fits too. It'll have room for a lighter as well. So the key design requirements are to make it as small/unobtrusive as possible (fit in a jacket pocket or on your belt - will have a belt loop as well) while being very discreet (both in terms of odor AND profile). Because it has a JyAR as the core storage medium I think we have more design flexibility than some of our competition that are making smell proof bags. I think we have a chance to make a truly exceptional and unique portable storage and consumption solution and I'm excited about our progress thus far.

In other news, our IndieGoGo video for the BBx2 (Big Bertha/Big Boy - depending on your preference) is done, we'll be working on posting it this week and adding incentives for pre-orders. I've been terrrible about keeping deadlines on this project but it's finally finally taking shape.

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/hbp-hempbioplastic-filament-for-3d-printing#/

In an ideal world I would have my Jyarz printed from this. Please Aldo, take a good look at this...

Interesting! I'm actually looking at 3D printing technology so you can bet your hat that once this filament becomes more readily available we'll see if it can work for us. I tried mightily to use Hemp based plastics but it was too problematic from a sourcing perspective. But there are exciting new developments in 3D printing that I think make it a viable perhaps very near term direction. How soon there will be hemp based polymers for our use I don't know for sure but we'll have our eyes open.

Thank you for the link!

Given the way they treated George/dynavap.

They allowed his project to be posted, get double it's goal and on the last possible moment pulled the rug out from under him.

I would advise you to get it in email writing that IGG will let your campaign go through and work, before investing much into setting up on IGG.

His product was just a case for herb and the vape, quite similar to your item.

Seems they have some vindetta against 420 related products or something.

Perhaps a certain item that took forever and delayed a lot simply made them no longer trust any remotely similar thing again.

Very good to know...I've had some concerns about this very topic. I'll look into it before launching in too quickly.

Also there's a nice looking product that many of you might like to use for your "larger" and therefore less "mobile" needs, take a look at:

http://www.mason-re.com/collections/frontpage/products/re-stash-diamond

I suspect these are very good for larger volumes which don't require the same level of smell proof characteristics that JyARz provide. Because they are based on Ball jarz they are relatively inexpensive. I ordered one and we're thinking about either replicating them (i think i see how they can be improved) or just partnering with the company to offer a JyARz branded version. In any case we've been such laggards about offering a larger size that I feel I owe it to you all to offer an alternative even if it's not created by us.

@JyARz I contacted Antonio, the guy behind the hemp plastic for 3D printing and made mention of your great product. Let's see if we can make this help Jyarz happen quickly... May I be first in line for each of every size as soon as they brecon available in hemp printed plastic!!!

For me tep, I know you have been enthusiastic about hemp technology but I honestly feel this is a step backwards...

What I LOVE about the current product line is that all plastics are recycled from milk jugs. In my mind, that holds more value than making a product out of hemp [or any other novel material] just because it is available.

I'm curious Aldo's position on this.
I'm all for hemp products but not when it replaces recycled products. I'd also hypothesize it would also add to the end cost for consumers, and I would not be willing to pay more just to tote nonrecycled hemp.

Just my 2 cents, I'm sure others feel differently.
