Discontinued The Grasshopper

Has anyone found a good alternative to the SS carrying case that HL has been working on? I don't trust carrying my hopper in my pocket at work with dust and actual physical harm possible. Just looking for something to keep it in while moving around, preferably air tight-ish... Lots of dust around here...

use a cigar tubes. put some construction foam in da button and in the lid. cut (drill) out as necessary to fit your Hopper. or you can wrap a hopper in cloth before putting in tube. so it doesn't bounce around.

Check out @Ratchett's leather case. Not airtight but beautiful and functional

I just received the go-ahead to send the hopper back without its battery.

The silver lining to this predicament is one more nights use with it, and I've finally connected it in stereo with the EQ.
It's pretty awesome and I recommend anyone with the ability to, to try two vapes at once through a bong. Especially two serious cloud machines :science:

I think you have to decide what you'll be carrying. Hopper, how many batteries and do they go in the case? Stash, etc.? There are so many small format cases/pouches/holders available, for pens and stylus'. On Amazon, search 'pen pouch' for examples.
Maybe nice would be some type of short end caps for Hopper? Yes, keep dust/pocket lint from entering mouthpiece hole and at other end keep out dust while preventing both click-on and odd short circuit. hmm...

Hey all,

Also, a few grinders that might assist in loading a GH. If already posted, my apologies.

From what I've been noticing as peeps post their shipping confirms they are still on 1/15 preorders...so you may be waiting a bit. If it makes u feel better I ordered yesterday so imagine how long I will be waiting!:)

Those might work!

Looking for something small. I already have a case to carry a doob tube, batteries, and hopper. I agree though, that's a nice roll up that Ratchett has!

I'm just looking for something to go in my pocket that will hold my hopper with silicone tip. I'm worried I'll depress the button, get dust in it, or straight up break it in my pocket at work (construction). I think a nice fat cigar tube will do the trick! I just need to find a durable plastic one that fits the bill...

You can also find cigar tubes in aluminum with screw-on ends.

What was I gonna put here......
Morning heads!

I don't know if anyone else here has done this (I follow this thread but not daily) but I got tired of waiting and took the plunge and ordered a mfg refurbished GH from feebay. I figured what the hell, it has a lifetime warranty with it. I've had it only 2 days but OMG, this thing is everything people say it is. It is amazing how fast and efficient it is. Can't wait to use it with a bubbler. Hopefully it holds up and when they are finally in full production and on the shelves, I will get another one.

hi man! is everything OK with your Hopper now? after what, 7 or 8 warranty claims they should be feeling obliged to make one proper product for ya.

Hey man, thanks for asking. I'm on #9 now, and the new back end on this one still gets very hot. It also barely turns where other units have turned with ease. So, it'll be #10 once the others arrive. It's OK, no prob.

I think it's a personal thing towards me at this point :D

Ti Grasshopper received (21/01/16 pre-order). Received today, was waiting on the doorstep for me when I got home. Was worried I may have over-hyped things in my head with this thing, especially considering it's my first vape, trying to make the leap over from combustion. This thing has exceeded all my expectations. So happy with my order. As much as I've enjoyed pre-order purgatory and the extended (very) anticipation, it's great to finally be here, sharing a nib with my fellow hoppers!

Well, okay, but @Ratchett , interchangeable, pls.
And maybe not like those Pax2 silicone end caps? I have and sometimes use those on Pax2; would hope for nicer fit & finish for my Ti Hopper's long life.

(He's prolly so on this already...)

Lol, indeed I'm already on the hunt for something - invested quite a few hours and $$ on prototypes, no luck so far, but I'm getting closer!

@tristanstravels

If you primarily vape through a water tool then I would also recommend the Venus Apollo. For dedicated bong use I prefer it over my Mighty and Underdog.....but the vapor IMO is too hot for portable use (although GH owners have also reported hot vapor too) and when the Apollo has been on for awhile the bottom gets very hot and isn't something you want to drop into your pocket afterwards.

If portable use is your thing then the Mighty is great and has little draw restriction and fairly cool vapour.

The Milaana is another alternative that has great feedback but I can't yet comment from personal experience since my preorder has not yet shipped

You ordered January, 2016 and received your TI GH? WTF

I ordered on 8/19/2015 and still waiting. ETA is currently June, 2016.

What I don't understand is the lack of transparency regarding the ship date estimates.

Why not post an update stating:

"We are currently shipping xx/xx/xxx pre orders.
At our current capacity, we are able to manufacture and ship xxxxx # of units per month.
Based on the current back log, we expect to be able to ship the xx/xx/xxxx pre orders by xx/xx/xxxx.
As we continue to scale and improve our process, the time from PO to shipping will continue to drop and ultimately by xx/xx/xxx, we plan on being able to offer SAME/NEXT DAY shipping. "

Rather than repeatedly changing the estimated ship date on the month expected to ship month after month after month after month after month after.........

They are really abusing the word "estimated"

have you tried to do that anticlockwise half a turn of clicker when it is at ON position? some say this can fix hot backend issue.

For those of you with colored Ti hoppers, especially dark grey, do you find your kinda wishing you had gotten the plain Ti? I'm worried about the color rubbing scratching off and me hating that.
