Me and Mi the mighty slayer on a vape-break

Err I spent too much on vapes this past year... Why does PV have it in stock already!? Right now on rotation, I have the Supreme V3, EVO and Mighty. Would adding the Milaana be perfect as a 4th vape in my rotation?

@WakeAndVape How often do you use your Mighty now since receiving the Milaana?

Honestly I have only used the mighty a couple times since getting milaana.

And the times I did use it is because the girlfriend insisted because it's her 'favorite' even over the milaana.

But the reason the mighty is her favorite is because she favors the sessions with the stretched out tasty clouds, that has the ability to pass around to multiple people.

I like the milaana because I can extract a bowl to as many or few hits as I want.

Re-packing is the biggest chore involved.

Also I didn't really fully extract my buds before because once it started to taste like shit, I would dump them and be done. Now I can get to the end before I notice the taste.

The only vapes it hasn't sat down is the flame powered family, still use Daisy and Vapman.
And the project by @Pipes gets use too.

Had a dhgate 18/14 m/m that miraculously was American sized, had it for a long time with no problems.... Broke it a week into having my Mi, and my bong has been on loan since I got the Mi, I'm not mad just a little disappointed in myself haha.

Worked out you can put silicone over one end of a 14/14 m/m and the Mi stem fits in pretty snug, so not the end of the world.
Also the 14m male sits too high in the female reducer, but you can put a screen in the reducer and a 14m male above it, so few options for water.... But the 18-14 adaptor also made it look like an E cig so still a little raw.

Nailed it...

1. Screen distance
2. Load size, grind
3. Button depression, feathering
4. Slow draw
5. Battery power
For the last 5 or 6 bowls, everything has come together. No rotating stem, maybe one final stir. ABV even brown, long and slow, super powerful session. Ahh...

Key. Once you get the right amount of heat to hover in the load, feathering keeps it at just the right temp for a very even and thorough extraction, which tastes great.

Let's tell RBT what improvements we'd like to see on this already off the chart vaping experience. Battery indicator, on off switch, and a better finish. I'm good.

Sooo my milaana arrived 3 weeks ago, and what a ride it has been!
Firstly i would like to say that RBT shipped my order with the extras i added but i had not yet paid for, Imagine my surprise 2 days after paying for the extras when my package arrived in the uk. i thought it would be another 9 days minimum.
The unit itself is a little bit rough around the edges but all the parts are seated correctly. Overall though i like the look of the unit and the minor imperfections melt away when in use.

For the first week my experience was strange, i was getting vapour but not the expected clouds of flavour, I wasn't able to milk my glassware like i could with my enano. I seemed to either get wispy and flavourful or clouds with that charred popcorn taste. However the vapour signature piqued my interest so i persisted. Back to this thread i returned for some tips from the clever peeps here. I found some insightful information regarding load, grind and more importantly draw.
Day 8 was very different I started to get some decent milk and subsequent clouds of deliciousness. I got lost in all the vapour and sadly combusted, I'm not talking a blackened bad tasting load but full on ignition! I decided to take the hit for the team and kept drawing to keep the nasty smoke from going into the heater chamber. After clearing the horrid smoke away i blew through the air intake of the milaana in case any smoke had lingered in there. Once i had done an iso clean on my glass everything was running like a champ again.
With each day that followed my love for the device increased and my technique improved as have the flavour and clouds. Both of which are equally ridiculous! Seriously the size and flavour of the clouds i have exhaled are obscene.
My apologies for not reporting back sooner but Milli has stolen my heart and face along with it!

To anyone that has received a milaana but has not fallen head over heals in love yet dont give up! Practice really makes perfect in this case especially with the variables in play.
I believe i still have a lot to learn regarding technique (especially when using it dry with a stem) But i am truely loving the experience and results now.

Sending a big thankyou to everyone that has contributed to this thread with helpfull tips, they really made the difference to my usage.

On a different note ive received 3 adapters from dhgate all of which unfortunately are too long for the milaana, Has anyone found a decent source yet for 19/22 male to male adapters? At this rate i may have to hit up OGB for an adapter but that international shipping is going to hurt! :peace::love:

For those newbies (me) that will be getting their Milaana soon, can you please tell us what technique changes you found made the biggest difference when learning how to get those perfect flavor/size hits? So far I've got: 5sec preheat, slow constand draw, release button before your lungs get full. Rinse/repeat?

Seems screen distance makes a difference as well. But that will mainly affect how much you load at a time.

Enjoy your Milaana!

Thankyou very much nickzzx, For using with a water tool I would say not filling the load to the top, leave some room for air, roughly about a quarter the size of the load, give it a very gentle tamp (barely touch it). Also I found only preheating 2 to 3 seconds on a fresh battery is better for flavour. Once youve done the preheat start hold the button drawing slowly/gently untill you start to see vapour, Increasing your draw at a slow steady rate, until the piece is milked, increase draw a bit more. When Vapour production decreases slighlty, release the button and keep drawing until vapour production has stopped entirely lift the milaana then clear the piece. Exhale and smile!

I still need to work on dry technique, also feathering the button more

When your charging your batteries for the first time, be patient and allow it to charge fully! I have a couple of batterys that i was impatient with and even when fully charged they dont seem to perform aswell as my others, that could just be me having an overactive imagination though

I believe it was @Zangano Cruel who I first started to see post about cotton in the intake hole but at the time I was too lazy to try it and didn't see the need...

But I tried it today and it makes a huge difference in vapor production, heat up time and probably battery life.

The taste isn't as good and the draw resistance is slightly increased...but gives super fast results.

I cut a piece of steel mesh, pushed it in first then put a piece of cotton from a q tip and sandwiched it between another piece of mesh with a cut screen topper.

Science is the shit

Well I personally found my favorite use(for now) of the little ribbon Rbt sent along. I used a nice ball of it to put between a couple screens to hold the basket screen in place near the opening of my stem. I'm currently using a cheap 18m-18f adapter as my stem. As luck would have it that stem rolled off my table and broke. I took that sticky icky ball of ribbon goodness and loaded it in a new stem. Oh my. Oh my. Great way to start a 3 day weekend. Shits looking up.
More importantly I hope everyone has a great and safe Memorial weekend.

Almost same here, still think I have a ways to go but drawing a lot slower in general. Would love to try an Evo, I hear you can get draw as quick as you like?

So odd bc I found with the vapcap (early TiWoody) I had to draw ridiculously slow, your journey continues to intrigue me (I'll have og vapcap and omnivong soon though)...

Yeah Evo, also Daisy even better, but maybe you'll like the grasshopper since you have to draw super hard and fast there, which I find less than ideal (can be hot and harsh too)

I can draw fast in my Milaana, and I don't even preheat much really, its just starting off your draw really slow and speeding up as the heater rises in temp, can pull thick flavorful clouds in under 10 seconds.

Hi Everyone,
Milaana's are already in stock and shipping today, no need to wait until 5/31
https://www.planetvape.ca/vaporizers/rasta-buddha-tao/
Also all Milaana's sold until June 30, 2016 include a special RBT lifetime warranty.

Woohoo fantastic news!

I thought the lifetime warranty is just officially the Milaana warranty now? It will change again? I guess manuals will have to be changed eventually then too

Many vapes & accessories. Always happy to help
After my episode with the "PRO VAS" bag that was a little tight on the sexy Mi, I found myself looking for something else, inspired by the creativity of @Vape Dr. (You're great man and I keep saying this!). As I'm moving pretty much right now (in a few hours), I went thru a lot of old forgotten stuff and fished some cheap binoculars-that I bought for a safari years ago.. And I have to say they sucked..Kept on seeing animals where there weren't any..:doh:)- Well, that carrying bag looked like having the size of the Mi.. So I gave it a try and Mi a new jacket. Long story short:
Q7FDFly.jpg

I like it. It's not very exclusive, but it does the job and has a little extra space on the side.. Binoculaana, I'd say! But then again, I'm vaked.:D
I might check out one of these doob tubes maybe to fill up the unused space for something pretty essential to her:brow::cool:? Is someone using them and could provide a tip where to get some from the EU? That would be great!

Well,
Mi bag- check
Heater bowl protection - check
Battery switch life hack - check
Material container in case- doob tube?
But what about carrying the long stem. Only use that one and carry it in an easy flow bubbler tube.. Don't like to have to carry that thing around me.
Has any one an idea? How do you guys "travel" with the stem and Mi package in a compact way?

Enjoy your Mi s. Fantastic vape!:bowdown::love:

I emailed customer service twice on their website in the past 5-6 days I believe and recieved no response. I'm hearing others report fast responses from customer service from Sheila. Can someone pm me her email?

Maybe someone here knows. My question is: Does the $17 charger they sell check the voltage of the batteries? If not, I would switch to the more expensive nitecore model in order to be able to check the voltage. A few members on here have said thats important.

The "I" series shows battery bars, no digital voltage.
The "D" series is Digital, and shows everything.

I have some info on page 50 on chargers.

I think the $17 dollar was the Nitecore I2 and the other model was a D Series. I can't check for sure since RBT took all accessories off their webshop.

Can someone pass me Sheila's email so I can switch to the D Series charger? I want to catch them before they ship mine out. It's been 6 days since I emailed CS through the website twice and haven't gotten a response.

Yes most definitely. Even sometimes you can start feathering early because I've noticed it's possible for the heater to keep climbing when it's on the uphill and you start to feather.
But yes, extremely good post. Fluctuations in temperature I've noticed aren't the best for consistent results. Need a constant temp if possible.

I feel like this post needs to be framed for everyone who is learning their Milaana. It speaks to the learners soul haha. Awesome descriptions, time lapses, motivation and good vibes. Just a good read overall. :peace:

Milaana made it back home earlier this week. The vape was returned to me in nicer condition than when it was new, the joint is now seated nicely and with a clear epoxy this time. For some reason it was returned with no more filter material, I may fit a screen as others have done. In the mean time I stuffed it with some of the leftover concentrate mesh. Pretty sweet for an electric, it won't have me dropping butane but its a definitely a nice supplement. Using a cheapo m2m setup for glass, its thinner than the rbt stems and seems to produce vapor a little quicker. Tried a lot of different options over the past few days. Really liking the HG2's, seem to run hot and last a little longer.

My whole warranty process took a long time and kinda sucked. Got taken care of in the end and am happy with the product though. I'm sure future warranty issues will be smoother now that things are settling in.

The only vapes it hasn't sat down is the flame powered family, still use Daisy and Vapman.
And the project by @Pipes gets use too.
 My rotation lately has been HCVG, Vapman, Project and Mi. Mi and the project are the only two electrics I've cared to use in quite a while.

I've found mi to very hammer like in both technique and effect. Surprised no one else has made that comparison.

EDIT: Immediately after fucking posting this my F fitting came loose using the short stem. Fuck my life, the issue however is very clear. Smooth glass doesn't take glue well, the surface needs some abrasiveness to grab to.
