Left my bong at my mates yesterday after a disappointing day with dud battery... Will be getting that back ASAP! Only tried small stem so far, 4 of them, between two bats, although neither were dead.
I can see the button time being dependant on battery charge will get to me, but can pull huge rips out! The talk of how simple it is has left me feeling stupid, I think I haves a way to go in terms of technique but can tell the powers there.
I think if anything it just makes me want a Zion more.
I don't really think it requires much technique if your battery is working.

New stems from @Oregonglassblower - really nice experience, quick turnaround, beautiful glass. Here's my new favorite way to vape:

Comfortable 1-hand operation, big cooling w/ enough feedback for good control, bigger hits for me, and I can get better at full extraction cause I don't get distracted by gravity. Fit is perfect. This is - http://oregonglassblower.com/18mm-GLASS-J-HOOK-Angled-Female-Curved-18jhafc.htm - and Mike was really responsive and made a male version which works out to a snug, rotatable, palmable fit. VAS? I have no VAS, totally satisfied. :D

Given the consistent location of the char and the nature of the situation where the bottom cap fell off (when it was on a hot stove). I'd guess the char mark has to do with someone accessing the base using heat after it was glued in place. :2c:
Thats exactly what it is...you have to warm it to take the bottom off.

I have been using the Milaana daily all day long since I received her. I have only used the Supreme V3 a handful of times in the past two weeks. The Milaana through water at home and dry on the go has kept me where I wanna be. I go through about 2 grams from the time I leave home in the morning to the time I get back home and then I go through another gram or two at home. All this goes through the Milaana right now. I take 3 batteries with me for day use. Usually I return home with 2 batteries about dead or low and one battery untouched. That 3rd battery usually holds me over through the night, but sometimes I need to pull out a fourth battery. With this in consideration I think you can almost measure the battery life by usage or visa versa. 1 battery is typically going to last me somewhere around 1 gram. Of course, different means and methods will mean different results.
1gram per battery??? Holy shit, you must have alien tech batteries, or i have the shittiest ones ever?!?!

Which is why I was very optimistic that I'd take to it like a fish to water, as I have seen a few vapes you have had trouble with that I thought were not too hard to pick up, alas it wasn't to be, 6 stems in and still don't think I have perfected any sort of technique.
I have found those 6 stems really have needed a good stir, which is something I try and avoid doing.
Might reverse the basket in the stem so I can load further back, I thought I'd like it nice and close, but I have had some stems very dark in places and light brown in others. Anyone have any good tips for reducing bowl size and stirring?
Nice pleasant harshness with the short stem as well, like it very much.

Hi all,

This is a long thread. Could someone please point me to where there an explanation of how the heater technology in the Milaana works? I'm having trouble finding it by search.

Thanks!

in what sense? It is a steel mass with mica that heats up at a rate determined by the battery charge level to reach upwards of 500F in seconds, and you draw heat from it over your load through the glass stem to vaporize as you inhale, using the trigger to manage the heat. Does that cover it? Zion is similar and has more info but is also a long thread, I've posted about it quite a few times there and probably here too

I guess I have the same issue-dark in the center and lighter on the edges. But I put so little in at a time that there is no point stirring and the little bit I put in lasts for 4 or 5 draws.
I got the CF at the same time and I never use it. Not sure what will happen when my dynavap woody comes.

How does the screen system work on that bad boy?

VAS??! What are you talking about? My milaana is kicking out clouds with my short stem with silicone and my male to male with a very very small load size, like it's just the basket of the screen. Works well for a one or two hitter through water. Just ordered one more Dynavap product and I can honestly say that until I decide to invest in a Zion when they are out and available, I could be good on my vape game for a while... That's crazy to say lol, feels great! Love the milaana. Portable convection genius!! Like foreal I did not think this thing would live up to what I was truely aiming for.. Like I knew it would work well, I knew I would love it, but love it enough to not use my beloved SSV while I've been home most of the day??! Idk this is a new world for me. A portable may be my new daily driver for at home use lol. Crazy.. Can't give this product enough props for function alone.
Cheers,
Stay vaped!

Full Steam Ahead
Manufacturer
Hold button and control heat with breath.
I can hold the button for 30 seconds or even more, no charring. Sense what is going on with a nice, vacuum, slow pull. Control draw speed to regulate heat in chamber. Instinctually accurate, with endless adjustment... feel like I'm playing the flute in reverse.

PREDICTION
In a very short time, this will be the longest thread on FC

Here are a shot of my handy work tonight.
My glass is about half recessed and it only came with the mesh in the intake... Now see how pretty she looks

I love the look of the finished milaanas...makes the support the creator and help bring a vape to the market thing seem like a bit of a sham.

Dont get me wrong, in happy with the vape...but having such a crudely manufatured device for buying early seems weird, especially because the beta testing was over and all the hold up was teaching people to make them right.

Still gets me high as shit...ascetics aside...but i would like a refined and polished product too, especially after the wait so things could be perfected!

Hell i have a button that shits flat one one side and the other side has a centemeter gap betweed it and the body

I have had a couple people even ask if i made it myself...

New Milaana bodies sure look fap-worthy. I already like mine a lot, but I think the intake screen and fully countersunk female joint really class the piece up and make it feel finished. I got an early build, like many of the 4/20 shipments, and there are some very minor fit/finish issues that don't affect performance. I think it still looks nice, but I intend to add a modded Zion screen to my intake, as that visually cleans the Milaana up a bit. It's clear that the manufacturer is getting very good at building these.

If someone/anyone could post pics of where they put their screens, and how they pack, I'd appreciate it. Have 2 different stems with two set ups. I wouldn't say I'm getting charring anymore, just some dark spots. When I stir it all mixes for an even vape.. Just want to get rid of the dark spots all together. Also could someone put me in the right direction for a tight fitting. 18mm to 14mm Adapter? Thanks.
Cheers!

I'm thinking mines tuned a little colder, but working great.
Yeah honestly compared to what I see from the videos of the first units sent out, I think the production models may be tuned cooler. I can hold my button down for a long time, idk about 30 seconds.. But at least 20 without getting close to combusting.. The way I can milk a piece is all up to my breath and speed I take air in. Very easy for me coming from the SSV. Just draw slow and milk that bad boy up. Some pics of how other water pipe users wold be awesome. Like of how you pack your stems. How far the screen is from the top, etc. @AJS and @Vape Dr. maybe? Thanks guys , hope everyone is having a good day.
