The Firefly 2 vaporizer

I read in the manual that the concentrate pads should not be cleaned. For the mighty and
crafty I just throw them in iso after each use. I cannot imagine why these pads which seem
to be of the same material should not be cleaned. Does anybody have an idea of why oh why.

Nothing I know of is stealthier than a Pax 2 :ninja: But it has a much more restricted draw than the Storz & Bickel portables. On top of that, grinding fine is an absolute must. A full, finely ground chamber makes some very nice clouds however :science:

I like mine, just not IN LOVE anymore. I need me some smooth, sweet tasting convection and ease of use/maintenance in my life. You won't find a better bottom bitch around tho (10 yr warranty ftw), which is why I'll be hard pressed to sell my P2 once I start glowing with the rest of the Firefly fam (ie WILL NOT unless theres some kind of emergency, but thats what credit cards are for! :D)!

Agreed. The fact that you can easily completely contain it within one hand and that it really
has a "what is that" appearance when questioned. It does produce a bit more smell though and
that might make FF2 stealthier in some situations.

i don't really like the Pax 2 because of its all conduction method. I'm not sure if the pax 2 can accidentally turn on but it happened with my original pax and that really sucked. And now it's very very picky about heating up and even charging.

After a trip to Colorado that's why I'm looking for a new portable. I do like the mighty but I just don't think it will fit in my pocket for those trips to the city.

I really do enjoy the fact that the FireFly 2 is completely convection which is what is making me lean toward it. Plus I believe it has better battery life than the crafty. correct me if I'm wrong.

It doesn't need to be completely stealthy but definitely portable.

So barely 48 hours with my FF2 and already needing to RMA. Red light has been stuck on for the last 14+ hours. Customer service said they haven't heard of this issue. Sent me the RMA email info....this sucks

Does this happen when using either of the batteries? What happens when you put it on a charger? What happens when you take the battery out?

Honestly, if I pulled out the FF2 and hit it walking down the street in NYC nobody would say a thing or even have any idea what it is. Only people that would know are people that know what it is and I am not really concerned about them knowing.

Even with the open window on it they would have to look so closely. Same if you brought it to a concert or something. Nobody would know what you were doing.

Edit: On a similar note, does anyone know if it would function if held on its side? I know if its half packed then the flower would just slide to one side of bowl and it wouldnt work but fully packed I wonder.

I lost my MFLB at a concert doing that about 3 years ago. I was in the crowd in a small venue taking a hit with my fist up to my mouth basically. And this guy taps me on the shoulder and signals "come with me" -- I immediately knew what was up and tried to hand it off to some random person in the crowd. The person didn't know what I was trying to do and then the guy was like, "you come with me too."

I ended up tossing it on the floor behind my back and following the guy. The security guys patted me and random dude #2 all over the place and then mentioned the cops, blah blah blah. I said "I don't know what you're talking about and neither does he! I don't even know that guy!" "Don't make us call the police."

They kicked us out. Lucky for guy #2 he just ran back into the crowd real fast immediately after he was out of sight of the security dudes. My shirt was red and really identifiable though so I was out for good. Think about how much bullshit it would be for that random guy to just get kicked out like that - out of nowhere. :cuss: I'm glad he made it back in over me.

I spent the remainder of the concert sitting outside talking with people who were kicked out for drunken fighting. lol...

SOOOOOOOOOO point of the story ------- no matter how stealthy you think you're being, someone who is paying attention to you can certainly notice. "hittin da droogs!" I was at a KYUSS concert of all bands - a pioneer in the desert/stoner metal genre. It was a tad ironic but it was the venue, not them obviously.

Oh man that sucks....I mean it really depends on the concert and venue. That would be so confusing for that random dude too haha

My NYC example might be a poor one because there is so much weird shit going on on most streets anyway that vaping is the least of anyones concern haha My point was that the general public has no idea that you can even vape weed so they just assume its a "regular" vape.

I completely agree with that but it's better to be safe then sorry. I'm near NYC as well and have used my pax plenty of times on the street. Just feel that the FF2 would cause undue attention.

But so far in my brain it's winning because of the issues I'm seeing with reliability of the crafty, the battery ability to change it, the pure convection of it. But the mighty looks good too. Oh boy LOL

haha I hear ya man! And lets put it like this, I have used a pen style vape with THC oil in it literally walking past cops up in Harlem....I would not necessarily do this with the FF2 then again I wouldnt do it with the Mighty either. I dont think either would draw attention to the average person.

Funny part is I generally dont really even vape in public just throwing in my two cents. Someone gave me that pen so I tested the limits a bit haha

Yeah I love the pen. I actually use that when I'm out. It's the best for sure especially for stealth.

That's why this one I'm buying doesn't necessarily need to be stealthy. I have been seeing lots of rma's for the crafty.

How does the FF2 hold up? Or is it too new to know?

newVaper420,
Actually, I find that using a Mighty looks like sipping on a small water bottle or canteen. It's less conspicuous than the FF2.

If you really need the stealth factor, get a Crafty.

I love my Crafty and I liked my Pax, but the issue for me regarding stealth was the time commitment. I have/had to wait a minute or two for them to become "ready". I am stoked for the FF2 because of the quick on-demand usage and put it down. This is also why I still like my trusty little MFLB.

Reggie, do you have a Grasshopper? I have one on preorder and will hopefully receive it before I die. I really want to check it out after seeing the review on vaporizerwizard.com. Seems like max-stealth!

Have had it for a few weeks so cant say for sure but so far so good. Really easy to clean, feels well made, app needs work, but overall its been great so far.

Also, just kind of a PSA, not sure how many people have tried this but I have even half loaded it and threw the pad on top and it worked great. Think I saw others have tried this as well.

Both batteries, same issue.

Red light stays on, no change to light at all.

Take battery out, light goes off. Put back in, it flashes blue for a moment then goes to the solid red again.

Bc they want you to spend your MONEY on their product! Not saying in a negative way whatsoever...just what businesses do. Honestly, I've soaked mine in ISO every 3rd bowl or so and voila...like new.

Damn, so they basically have white in stock, ready to ship. That's good!

seems like it - they've been posting a lot of white on instagram so I'm assuming they have some in stock. I debated for a while on black vs gold vs white but white just seems to clean to me.

Got myself a santa cruz shredder 3 piece in preparation for the FF2 and I'd recommend one of these to everyone. A couple of the reviews mentioned the grind can't be too fine so I got worried my 2 piece space case wouldn't work well, and this SC shredder is absolutely phenomenal. I'll post my thoughts on Space Case vs SC shredder for this vape as soon as it's in.
