So, I visit my mom In another state several times a year and I'm hesitant to fly back and forth with a used Vape. I did it on this trip after vacuum sealing it at home.

But I just heard that now you can't fly with vapes (tobacco? ) in checked luggage since the batteries can catch Fire .

So I'm thinking of leaving my FF1 here at my mom's and ordering a FF2 for home.

I could chance flying home with it not sealed and leave the decision for a couple of months from now. I don't even know how long it would take to get a FF2 shipped to me on the east coast.

I recently flew to Denver with my Pax in my carry on luggage. I just cleaned it decently well and packed it with tobacco. It's for tobacco use only :-).

I also am trying to decide between FireFly2, Crafty, Mighty and Pax 2. Strictly for portable/stealth use since I have a VapeXhale Cloud Evo for home use.

----

Is the Firefly's 2 chamber open? Do you have to pack right before every use? Or can it be packed in advance?

For portable, stealth use, you may want to add a gh to your list (even though you'll have to wait to get one).

Has it been determined if color is playing a role in when they are being shipped out? I still haven't pre-ordered, but was going to is a certain color is getting out first

In the first couple of batches Black has shipped a week or two before the colors. I have a blue one in hand, but a week or two before it shipped they emailed me to ask if I wanted a black one instead. If so they could ship it right away. If I stayed with blue, which I did, then it would be 1-2 weeks before it shipped.

I do remember a while ago someone getting a $40 off deal, can't remember from who but they did realize their mistake after honoring the $40 off. Then fixed their mistake and made it a $20 off.

I'm wondering if concentrates will leak thru the bottom screen and gum up whatever is underneath.
What is underneath? Mmmmm.

I'd like the option to buy the FF2 with a charger and not a dock. Life's about choices.

Note to ALL vape manufacturer's:
Vape with built-in batteries = Dock/cable
Vape with removable batteries = Charger

I'm looking for some sage advice. I own the FF1 and and happy with it now that I've gotten some replacement batteries . The early ones were not good and In fact a friend sold his prematurely.

Also I have been super curious about the Crafty.

any thoughts? Would users here rather have 2 diffenent units to play with and decide which to keep at home or rather have 1 ecosystem that uses the same batteries?

BTW my main unit is a Volcano, so this is strictly for portable use .

Ps -are there any discount codes around? I guess the $40 off is over?

It is true the vapes of any kind should be in carry-on checked bag, however a flight isn't a "reason" to buy a FF2 as you can totally fly with vapes, I do it all the time.

That said I just ordered a FF2, nothing wrong with just wanting it!

The heating coil is underneath. So no, you don't want anything leaking, which is why you need the pad.

You can do this! You need the external charger plus the original FF1 AC adaptor, but that's how I charge my FF 2 batteries.

The FF2 effect has been described as a "clean high" and "functional high." It gives a sense of mental clarity without dragging you down physically. To what extent does that vary/generalize across cannabis strains? Idk exactly, but I've tried the same strain with different vapes and had different experiences.

thanks Reggie. I imagine that over time, people who own the FF2 and other highly-rated vapes will report back on possible differences in the high they deliver. 'clean' and 'functional' high sound like what people say in the 'vaping at different temps' thread when they talk about vaping at lower, supposedly less sedating, temps. I'm also seeing very little enthusiasm for using lower temps on FF2 - people seem to end up using the default (med-high) or higher temps. is it possible that low-temp convection just doesn't work all that well? (I keep reading that GH, the 'other' all-convection vape, delivers hotter-than-average vapor, which might support this idea.)

any FF2 (or other convection-only vapes) users tried using lower temps only?

On low you can still blow clouds if you know how to properly use this beast. Very blue clouds.

I find the low temps great for during the day.

When I used the low temps I would eventually up the temp. I dont think I've "finished" a bowl on low yet.

I use my Mighty at about 365 to start which is "lower", but the Mighty has a good bit of conduction going on. I always raise the temp to max though to extract as much as possible, I'm someone who likes couch lock so I tend to always finish a bowl at high-max temp. The vapor from the mighty isn't hot at all IMO though

Wow this is a really tough decision. It's really between four machines (ff2, crafty, mighty and pax2).

I think my favorite feature of the firefly is that it's convection only. I use a VapeXhale Cloud Evo so this is desirable to me. I heard that the air path on the FF2 is a bit restrictive. That worries me.

The other downside is that it looks like a bowl so using it on the street would be a little obvious. Same thing with the mighty. Thing looks like a VCR. Hahahaha.

Anyone have any experience using a FF2 in a public setting?

I've only used a wispr and a pax for outside use.

White is way ahead! I preordered from FF directly (may 6) and overnighted it and I just got mine minutes ago!

What?! Thats crazy! Ordered a month after me and you got it first (my blue's gonna be here next week)!

Maybe thats why Firefly are pushing the white one on their instagram...?

Keep us posted on how it performs
and if the white lid is hard to keep clean :)

People have blue on order? I received a conformation today for my blue. Ordered April 23. Now stalking tracking every 5 mins in place of watching email. Monday perhaps? Would anyone in WA state let us know how long from shipping to your home. Thanks!

Edit: @Maple Beaver, yeah. I know how you feel

I ordered 04/22 and mine shipped yesterday. I took their free shipping. They shipped USPS Priority Mail and it will be here tomorrow. Priority mail is 2 day for most destinations....and includes Saturdays. FF ships out of Las Vegas.

Actually, I find that using a Mighty looks like sipping on a small water bottle or canteen. It's less conspicuous than the FF2.

If you really need the stealth factor, get a Crafty.

Honestly, if I pulled out the FF2 and hit it walking down the street in NYC nobody would say a thing or even have any idea what it is. Only people that would know are people that know what it is and I am not really concerned about them knowing.

Even with the open window on it they would have to look so closely. Same if you brought it to a concert or something. Nobody would know what you were doing.

Edit: On a similar note, does anyone know if it would function if held on its side? I know if its half packed then the flower would just slide to one side of bowl and it wouldnt work but fully packed I wonder.
