I need to get a new vape after my Pax is kinda messing up. I am really considering the FF2. I like that it's stealthy. I also like that it's convection and no glass stems like the Arizer Air.

I'm trying to decide if I should get this or maybe something like the mighty or the crafty.

Such a hard decision now. When I purchased a Pax there was nothing else like it really.

The mighty is amazing I do have to say owning one has been a real treat and made me spoiled. My only issue is that it hasn't been medicating very well anymore with my tolerance. So if your tolerance is extra high the mighty might require multiple packs for you. Hoping the FF2 will help me when I can finally get one.

Does tapping the firefly 2 on your hand mix the bowl up well enough, or have you guys found that you really need to get in there and give it a good stir?

Having owned all of those, I recommend the Mighty. It's just a beastly vape, 10/10. For me the FF2 is more like an 8/10 (all factors considered).

Wow, you built a tolerance to the Mighty? That hasn't happened to me yet in 4 months of daily usage. It consistently gets me blasted, more so than FF2 - but it's a different kind of high, to be fair.

Need to stir with the stick.

Yeah I've had it for like 6 months and just finally built up a tolerance. Just gives me a low-medium high

Just got my FF2 2nd batch, I haven't even tried it yet but I will say this:

Magnets on the lid are very strong
When I press down on the bowl end of the lid I don't notice any change in airflow
The draw resistance is not bad at all imo.
Connected to the app instantly with 0 issues.

I also immediately notice that it could be easy for some people not to push their mouthpiece in all the way after they remove it. Push the mouthpiece in until it solidly clicks into place.

Today was a great day to get the mail.

you're the second person (at least) to mention this. any chance you could elaborate? I can understand different effects from different temperatures and/or strains, but I don't understand how, controlling for all the variables (same strain, same temp., same qty., same tolerance going in, etc.) except the vaporizer, the effects could be noticeably different. I've read posts claiming convection and conduction produce different highs, but haven't read anything specific. I went from a MFLB (conduction) to a mighty (hybrid), can blab on at length about the differences - but not of the high itself.

I've noticed a LITTLE difference in the highs from different devices. The Pax 2 for me is a heavier fuller vapor and to me seems the closest I've had to combustion. The mighty on the other hand is smooth as silk and gives the cleanest high I've ever had.

The Firefly 2 is by far the best way to enjoy concentrates out right now in my opinion.

The ease of use, efficiency, and taste is the best i've had.

I've tried torch and nail, wick and coil, ceramic rod, quartz rod, ceramic quartz donuts, many wax pens, and the FF2 beats them all by far.

So easy, so good, so efficient, so many clouds. This thing is great.

Dang..do u try mixing strains?? I fine ground some pineapple (2parts), blue dream, and blue cheese (1 part each) to help conserve mainly...it works...my tolerance gets higher If I'm going thru one strain...

Naaaaaaaaaaaaah I wouldn't worry I am 86.4% sure you'll like it. From the reviews I've seen and what people are saying, this is a fantastic vaporizer. You made a great choice, and please do report back! :D

Where my gold at???

Haha those are some pretty precise odds! I'm not too worried, I'd say I'm at 92.7% confidence.

Hope you receive word on your gold soon! My boy blue is supposed to show up tomorrow :)

Is the Herc one you've tried? I love the Herc and I'm trying desperately to avoid VAS on the FF2.

I've actually never tried the hercules so not sure about that one. The difference between the FF2 and most vape pens I've used is similar to the difference between vapor and smoke but maybe not quite to the same extreme.

The vapor just feels so clean like there's no conductive scalding at all. I usually much prefer using a water attachment with any rig or pen that I use but I don't even really have the urge to use a water tool with this vape, it just feels unnecessary for now.

I have the Herc too, and I'll have my FF2 soon too, so I'll let ya know which one I like better, if that'll help ya. They're definitely different beasts considering the FF2 is all convection and the Herc uses a ceramic rod to heat the oil so there is definitely conduction going on as well as convection when u draw and get the air moving around inside the chamber. I really hope I'm just as impressed with the way the FF2 vaporizes concentrates as alot of of other people are!

As far as I can tell you can avoid the auto shutoff by pulsing the heater.

I heat for 5 seconds before drawing, heat for another ~10 second while drawing, let go of the heater for .5 seconds and stop drawing, then heat again while drawing and repeat that as long as necessary.

Makes it easier to take super long draws while heating the whole time.

I'm looking for some sage advice. I own the FF1 and and happy with it now that I've gotten some replacement batteries . The early ones were not good and In fact a friend sold his prematurely.

So, I visit my mom In another state several times a year and I'm hesitant to fly back and forth with a used Vape. I did it on this trip after vacuum sealing it at home.

But I just heard that now you can't fly with vapes (tobacco? ) in checked luggage since the batteries can catch Fire .

So I'm thinking of leaving my FF1 here at my mom's and ordering a FF2 for home.

I could chance flying home with it not sealed and leave the decision for a couple of months from now. I don't even know how long it would take to get a FF2 shipped to me on the east coast.

Also I have been super curious about the Crafty.

any thoughts? Would users here rather have 2 diffenent units to play with and decide which to keep at home or rather have 1 ecosystem that uses the same batteries?

BTW my main unit is a Volcano, so this is strictly for portable use .

Ps -are there any discount codes around? I guess the $40 off is over?

Regarding the flying aspect, I recently flew to and from Denver with my Solo and Pax in my checked luggage and had no problem. I only wiped my vapes with ISO to clean before putting them in my luggage. Just wipe down your FF1 with some ISO and put it in your checked luggage and you should be fine.

Didn't know there was 40$ off to begin with. Saw the 20$ one

I could be wrong about the $40.

Also something I wanted to share on a audio message board that People here might think funny.

Colorado, which voted for legalization also happens to be a hotbed for some of the most amazing innovation in high end audio reproduction. Companies like PS Audio and the brilliant engineers who design their gear are from Colorado and I wonder if any of their utterly creative implementations of digital and analog circuitry might be fueled by herb logic ?

There's nothing I enjoy more than vaping and listening to music that literally seems like it's being performed in your living room.

If you pack it loosely, yes, you can tap or shake the FF to mix it up.

Many of us develop tolerances using the same device. Pretty much any variance of device will reset your tolerance, IME. I use a few different every day just to avoid tolerance build-up.

you're the second person (at least) to mention this. any chance you could elaborate? I can understand different effects from different temperatures and/or strains, but I don't understand how, controlling for all the variables (same strain, same temp., same qty., same tolerance going in, etc.) except the vaporizer, the effects could be noticeably different. I've read posts claiming convection and conduction produce different highs, but haven't read anything specific. I went from a MFLB (conduction) to a mighty (hybrid), can blab on at length about the differences - but not of the high itself.

This is a widely-experience (and, here on FC, documented) phenomenon sometimes called a vape "signature". All of my vapes have different effects...subtle in some cases but certainly noticeable.

I'll admit it's kind of difficult to distinguish the "quantitative effects" from the "qualitative effects," but many vapers seem to think they can. (Then again, wine connoisseurs claim to be able to distinguish things they really can't, so...)

The FF2 effect has been described as a "clean high" and "functional high." It gives a sense of menal clarity without dragging you down physically. To what extent does that vary/generalize across cannabis strains? Idk exactky, but I've tried the same strain with different vapes and had different experiences.
