Shortness of Breath, Wheezing, Breathing Issues!

Hello FC I have been a lurker here for over 5 years and needed to post because I have Cerebral Palsy and Medicate for my disability. I gave up Combustion for a year but I developed shortness of breathe, wheezing and just trouble breathing. I have had my lungs checked, been prescribed a inhaler. This doesnt happen when combustion as bad and after months of research it seems it is caused I feel by my lung tissue getting dried out and I really need to remedy this issue.

Tried new Vapes: Volcano Extreme q, Solo, Air, MFLB, vapollution, Vapir, Box Vape

Have used Water filtration, even with Hot water still wheezing.

Bads are worse and running the Extreme at 300F still get some wheezing. I had to make a new thread because the old one No body adds to the discussion, but this worries me for my Health sake.

I have a MBM but edibles arent the same delivery and I am also prescribed Marinol because I live in a NonMedical State, but someone has to have a solution to this or knowledge on what its doing to my lungs, if the Bag is still fairly clean after 50 loads, then shouldnt my lungs be that clean?

One would think. But there could be other issues. Since you are living in a non medical state, my first question would be about the quality of your meds. Are they medical grade? Tested? There are a number of things that can contaminate herb. They can be hard to detect with the human eye and can seriously irritate the lungs.

I am sorry to hear about this. You have quite a list of vaporizers there, so going to ask a questions that I believe applies to this issue.

How much do you consume daily?
Where do you source your product?
Have you ever smoked tobacco? Cloves?
Do you use eCigs?

Knowing these details will help isolate possible causes.

i'm sorry if this will sound stupid, but, can you perform any kind of light aerobic exercise, like walking, or any kind of repeated action and movement?

When i had wheezing i was smoking a lot and/or doing a lot of vaporizing without any type of exercise and a sedentary job.

Well I work out 3-5 days awake and spend 20mins after my workout in stream room to clean my lungs, and this helps with the next 2 bowls I pack and then it seems my lungs get dried out.

ok, then its not lack of exercise either. you also filter your hit so less allergens. I suggest less vaping at the time, perhaps start using more oil and less flowers.
The oil is more potent so you need less hits.

I think stay away from the blunts. Especially from any flavored blunt wrappers.

You're lungs are gonna seem more irritated when you give up tobacco. Seems worse, but it's a good thing!

Also, cool room humidifier at night when you sleep.

Have you tried vaporizing with a water tool and warm water on a lower temperature?

I have sweetheart, it helps some but after a few pacs I get the wheezing.

Could it be the vaporizer Im using Extreme Q dust from the electronic components getting into the vapor produced?

Have you thought about vaping in the steam room? that way your lungs could not dry out.;)

It could be, but doubtful. Sometimes you're just getting too much irritant in your lungs no matter what you do. There are vapes that have cleaner air paths, though. e-nano is my weapon of choice and nothing in the path other than ceramic heating element, stainless steel tube and a couple screens.

I'd try turning the heat down a little (less actives, but still some) and getting a bubbler that has lots of diffusion without requiring much pull. I usually stay away from those, so not sure which to suggest. Hopefully others can.

But, if the steam room helps it seems moisture may be what you need. And, some bubblers give a little more moisture than others. That and I think stick with the hot water. Keep it as hot as you can comfortably in use and be sure to change it regularly. Don't think my lung & throat issues are anywhere near as irritating or complex, but I go with warm water when allergies are really bad a few times a year. It helps me an awful lot, with hotter water (as long as not uncomfortable) being better.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king
I have pollen/plant allergies that mainly affected my lungs. I used to get mild asthma attacks. When I gave up smoking cigarettes over 15 years ago my asthma got 10 times worse. It was like my lungs were cleaner, more sensitive and more easily affected. At the same time I took up long distance running to battle the weight gain associated with giving up the cigs. Funny thing is that running made things even worse by opening up my lungs further. My lungs would feel wonderful and perform great while running....when the run was over the sensitivity could kick in hard and bring me to my knees.

A few years after I quit the cigs my lungs finally got used to whatever it was and my asthma attacks became less frequent and way less severe.

Once I gave up combustion and turned to vaporizing my asthma attacks all but disappeared. Maybe you're in that 'lungs are cleaner and more sensitive phase' and once your lungs get used to their new state you'll adjust like I did. I hope so.

In the meantime here's some advice my doctor gave me way back when.....Don't be afraid to use your inhaler and/or allergy meds in advance of needing them. When I explained to my doctor how fearful I was of what would happen sometimes after my runs (There was one time I actually closed up tight during the warm down after a run. Couldn't find my inhaler, went down to my knees and almost blacked out). he said 'Why don't you use your inhaler and take your allergy meds just before the run whether you need them or not'? I never thought about taking them without an attack. After all, it was called a rescue inhaler.

Hope you feel better soon ...
