I love mine so much that if an alien dropped down in front of me and said "show me a vaporizer" I would show him the Lotus Cap & WPA. Then I would rip him the densest, thickest vapor of flower with kief on top. Alien invasion instantly aborted, new intergalactic best friends (^.^)/'

@just_the_flu basically it got to do with what u want to use it for. Normal cap is for flowers and HT cap is for solid. Both can be used for both types but having used both versions, I can tell you what they're best for.

HT cap needs more heating to get some temp going, therefore it gets hotter quicker than the normal cap. Respectively, it needs more time to cool down than the normal cap. The normal cap can vake the bud easier than the HT cap but you can combust it easier than the HT cap as well. To combust it with the HT cap u really need to try hard to do it.
Overall, even with the HT cap, you can get the job done as good as the normal cap with any type, either 'erb or solid.

Learning curve wise, I think that if you start with the normal cap, there is some technique that you have to develop regarding the way you'll hit your lotus each time and if it's going to be with the stem or with the WPA. Having spent some time with the normal cap, the learning curve for the HT is definitely smaller and much easier. In case that your 1st ever contact with the Lotus is the HT cap, then you will have a more "stressful" learning curve than the normal cap but with less chance of combusting bowls so less herb thrown away for nothing. Now, if you're vaping solid, just flame da hell out of it and don't worry about getting the cap really hot... it'll burn as hell but that's the way to get your hash vaped...
Vaping hash with the normal cap, will probably get your wooden part charred after some time.

/quote mode off

It's magic though.. whenever you change a screen and you do a quick clean to your stem your draws are like something totally new... WOOHOOO.. resist less tokes that fill ur lungs to the very last spot!!!

That's it for now...

PS: Apologies for my long-posting :science::peace:

New toys have come and its really nice.. The black-leaf jhook that my friend gave me as a present since he had an extra one. Now it bonds even better with the ash catcher ;)

Sth else that it's interesting to mention before the visuals.. It's amazing how fast you can drop the HT temp and the normal cap of course, but a little bit "safer" with the new HT cap. If you keep the cap in your palm with the stir in between your 3rd and 4th fingers or the 2nd and the 3rd, whatever suits you better, while still hot the time needed to absorb the heat is so little. It follows the laws of physics of course but I hadn't realized that since it's wood there is even faster absorption. The more you can stand the heat the quicker you'll have the temp fallen. I can have my HT cap from freakin hot to normal levels in less than 2'..

And here's the my new toys :D

@Carl Hempel Wow! That looks soooo amazing!! I am quite jealous right now... I have been thinking about grabbing a new cap and WPA so I have a full backup, and this kinda pushes me over the edge. I need to get an adapter like that, my local bong shop is useless, excellent stock & everything anyone could need, but the employees just look at you like you have two heads when I try to explain the Lotus and what I need every time I go for water tools...

Excellent rig, Cheers!!

@Morimoto Using them both at the same time (or one immediately after the other) is a lot of fun

The bridge / splitter adapter is from planet vape, but I also have one from Vapefiend. If you have a few vapes with WPA's these adapters are great, even with just the one vape you can use the other joint with a stopper to function as a carb.

I have missed some nice pictures here.
Also I had to post some since a time to show respect back to the work of @Aezhenn .
If you are based in EU even easier to get some wooden accessories now ;)
Here are the 2 cocobolo wooden stem kits I got made
The wpa fit in a central piece.
One is a stem directly connected to a small central piece, great for travel as this doesn't take much more place than the al-stem.
The other is connected through a "rotative elbow" so you can angle it however you want. This project is an original prototype ^^ but I like it a lot. Great for at home ... when you want to have your Lotus to chill in a full organic feel !

How do you clean the long stem? Do you use a brush? Is there a brush available that is long enough to go through?

Also how often do you clean the cap? I think I got some abv that got caught up there. I can't reach it. I know I have to clean it or it will burn up in there. Do I have to unscrew the hot plate to get up in there?

Any help is appreciated.

For the stem, I just use a Q-tip and depnding on how sticky it is I'll use ISO and... you can stil vape that, I normally don't use the screw on the stem so I just push the Q-tip through and collect the reclaim, then the cleaning details...

For the cap y use those combustion pipe cleaners, I bend the tip so it fits on the gap and gently go through the edges and blow/suck the loose particles... hope this helps

saludos! :peace:

In addition to what @bukster said, there are also long pipe cleaners available at craft stores and smoke shops.
